Is there any software I can use to monitor all my 6x SP20's which are remote?  Other than going into them individually via ssh?

I just added support for this to my miner monitor app.  It uses the output available in /monitor.php.  Neither API nor SSH access is required.

Again, this is a Windows .net app.

Now that voltage scheduling is in the firmware, any chance the same can be done w/ fan speed change scheduling? =-)

Make sure your app uses https otherwise the credentials to access the miner are going over the net in clear text.

Thanks for the tip.  This is tricky, and may not work for all situations.  I don't have any Spondoolie hardware offsite just yet, so I can't test this.  But I have S4s offsite, and I reach them through a forwarded HTTP port that is only accessible from one IP.  I'm going to enable HTTPS by default but have a checkbox to disable it if your particular hosting situation doesn't allow it.

okay so it was not over clocking issue.

power off the gear.

inspect all 4 cables look to see if they have any signs of melting. if they are modular cables look on both the psu end and the sp20 end

if they all look good.

keep the lower settings then rotate the 4 cables

from this
1  ------------- 2

4 -------------  3

to this

4 -------------- 1

3 -------------- 2

If you do this and a cable is bad  the asic board that goes out will be different

If you do this and all cables are good the asic board that goes out will be the same.

at this point you would need to think rma
LOOP0 still not work Sad

I've missed Bitcointalk Smiley

Zvisha implemented the scheduler, please give it a try: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/technical-blog

Also, we're doing soft launch of our cloud mining offerings. It's partnership with Genesis Mining.
We're brining small amount of hash power online in our Israeli DC. Upon selling of contracts, we'll ship mining gear to cover the contracts to Genesis Mining DC in Iceland.

Guy

so are you like the rest of the industry...getting completely out of the 'consumer' end of the mining equip side (ie no token type sp20 units anymore or equiv in the future
for those dense of us who would like to at least 'try' to home mine in the future..yeah yeah...I know still dream about 500 usd btc where this may be possible) or has
that dream left the barn .....like all the other asic manufacturer's seem to have stated as well?

We still expect most of our revenues to come from hardware sales. We got a lot of requests for cloud mining offerings, and we believe we're doing it the right way by partnering with Genesis Mining.

Yes Marco is good people they do have a lot of experience and mining power already on the network. They are very professional unlike other offering in the "cloud".
Genesis Mining is the most trustable cloud mining provider and I'm proud about this partnership. I know Genesis Mining management personally and I consider them friends.

Isn't cloud hosting created for the company that hosts the mining rigs to make money? If that's the case, how does the user who bought into the contract make any money. I highly doubt you would put up cloud hosting knowing you would be losing money. It is just like the slot machines in a Casino. People may think they are winning money, but the house always wins, always.

Not to knock genesis , but they are not price competitive to lee's buy + hosting of s-5's

the deal below is way better then genesis's offer

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934581.msg10247336#msg10247336

Since I did a deal with lee from china last april if I was to do a deal and had to pick  from lee or genesis .

lee is giving 1150 gh for 340
genesis is giving 1000 gh for 469 or 446

lee charges 43.60 usd a month
genesis charges 45.00 a month

lee will allow you a choice of pools
genesis  pool choice is ?

A pretty easy choice to make.   now to be honest I will not do either one right now .  Why? it is cheaper to run at home until summer power rates come in June

I see BTC as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions.

Guy, just thought you should know that I wouldn't purchase from Genesis Mining simply because they don't make their maintenance fees and other neccessary contract information available unless you sign up first. There's bound to be other potential customers with the same mentality. If you can do anything to change that you should.

Hi Guy
So i want to buy Genesis-mining , but you have to sign up a contract before you see Information.
What is that?
How can you recommend such a Company?

i looked at the contract and wasn't terribly impressed.
its a lifetime contract with a $/GH/day fixed maintenance cost (The math worked out to something like $60/TH/month (or about $120/kW/month assuming the hardware is SP3X series)

Quote
"2. Remuneration
As a consideration for the Services the Customer agrees to pay to the Service Provider an amount of (the "Fee"):
a. 0.449 USD per GH/s upfront
b. USD 0.0019 per GH/s and day, deducted on a daily basis* from the generated Coins
4. Term
This Agreement is entered into for the term indicated above.
The Service Provider may terminate this Agreement with immediate effect if the Coins generated in the preceding 20 days do not suffice to pay the Fee under 2.b above."

ie: once the fees>daily revenue, the contract is almost over, with a 20-day maximum period for daily loss before the agreement is terminated

Not terribly impressive considering that $449/TH is the approximate pricing of the SP3X series, in which case the hosting costs are about equal to $0.17/kwh. I personally have colocation elsewhere thats <$0.13/kwh and the hardware is actually owned by me.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!

Genesis is too expensive.  The deal offered by lee using s-5's that you own allowing for paypal payment is far cheaper.

$340 for 1 s-5  they will run it at 1150gh and charge you 43.60 for power.

to match this deal genesis needs to offer 1000gh at 295  and charge you 37.90 for power.

Now I love sp20's for my home and I am running 9 of them.   I only run 1 s-5 at home.

I also prefer spondoolies-tech over bitmaintech as a company.

But the numbers on genesis cloud are just far too expensive.

The nature of mining is very competitive.
I could buy from lee with paypal get a small paypal discount 2% time the order and have about 40 days to pay it. I would also be protected by paypal for 45 days.

genesis needs to step up its game to compete with that offer.

I see BTC as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions.

Sketchy part is that the fees are currently about 75% of the BTC mined, and the provision allowing them to terminate the contract with no refund to the customer puts the consumer in a weak position, actually a little surprised Spondoolies partnered with them given the gray area the contract puts the consumer in..

yeah.  I think it is pretty expensive.  you do not own anything physical just a contract that can be cancelled.
the s-5 deal is better you own an s-5 not a contract. plus it is far cheaper per gh to buy it.  and a little cheaper by gh to run it.

Genesis made the first proposal for cloud  hash via spondoolies.

Bitmaintech is making the s-5 proposal own and host  via lee on this thread below:
