Just wanted to say a big thank you to SP-T.  Bitmain just shot themselves in the foot with their price increases.  Keep being a responsible vendor, and I'll keep buying your products.

+1

I don't know what they are thinking coinbase exchange opened coins jump up for under 5 hours and they jumped prices from 340 to 370.+ shipping.

Now that coins dropped to 270  I don't see them so fast to drop the price back down.
They are too big to be so irresponsible with fast price changes like that. I understand both price jumps and drops but micro management of your products price is bad form.

Another reason i have 9 sp20's in house and only 1 s-5.
+1. wasnt the S5 down at almost $314 in batch 3? Jacking it up alongside the bitcoin price is just silly, and IMO makes SP-T look way better by having a fixed price that is a round number and hasn't shifted much recently.

it was as low as 310.  I spent 2 days having them fix my coupons so I could buy 3.  They fixed them bitcointalk went down blockchain info went down.  I was set to buy 3 and when all things lined up I would have got 3 for 930 - 145 in coupons = 795 + 96 to ship = 891.  So I went to the site ready to buy  they had btc at 217 coinbase had it at 232.  It was Late I was tired .  I said I will get it in the morning.  Btc jumped to 245 over night they raised price to 340.  i said f it.

btc jumped to 320 last night they raised the s-5 to 370. I really said f it.

I hosted one from lee in china for  390  but I used paypal got an 8 discount from paypal to  make the price 382 with psu supplied and hosting paid up until feb 20. My bill to paypal is due on march 12th.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934581.0

he is still asking 340 so he is better then bitmaintech!

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Guy,

Is there any news on PickAxe? I really like the SP20 and SP31 and am very interested in acquiring more efficient mining gear soon.

I suppose more efficient gear probably won't be out until Spring 2015.
Patient my friend.

this is a form of recovery from some hw errors. Nothing to warry about sinse this is not corolated in any way with machine longlivity or performance. The effect on hashrate is under 1% even if you have cgminer restart  every hour.

Allright thanks for the answer. Appreciated.

So i got an SP20E that is a bit more "sensible". I will take it this way ;-)

EDIT: the unit has indeed a very few HW Error, got 2 in the last 18 hours (CGMiner) I think the stats got reset for every CGMiner restart tho.

EDIT: Second unit just did the same thing. A first in the last 24 hours.

i got much less restarts recorded on 2.6.7 and 2.6.9 vs 2.6.1 (this week vs prior week), but beware that 2.6.9 has been downgraded to a test version.

and soon bitfury gonna start replacing their current boards whit the new 0.2W/G

Source? I don't believe any mining manufacturer currently has 0.2W/GH gear, and suspect they are still a couple months away (Spring 2015) from producing gear that efficient in quantity.

When someone does start producing gear that efficient in quantity, the difficulty will start shooting up again.

if the price cooperates. it won't at $50-100 BTC. BTC price is already in a depression, and in my opinion difficulty has to halve before we turn around. Difficulty did drop ~50% in October-November of 2011. I prefer difficulty to drop at current prices, of course  Wink
regarding mining-it payed to be late in ordering in the last year or so.
