I'm so happy with these guys, My only complain is I was the myminer.io page gave some stats, like Hash and temps. So I don't need to check half a dozen tabs Cheesy lol

I second this, even if just for having the hash rate visible.  It would make my efficiency tracking a lot easier!

New gen is for industrial mining only. No home units.

It's true that our first 3rd gen design is targeted large scale deployment. However, if the market demand will exist, we might create a smaller form factor.
It took us less than 2 month from decision to a working SP20 prototype.

i am intrested but without PSU . what i to do whit my 12V 2500A installation and rack.

Large. Completely unsuitable for home / garage installation. Still use air cooling.

in my humble opinion, such machines would not be competitive in a long run because of a large capital expenditure.
By the time they mine 50% of their cost, new machines with better efficiency will run circles around them, but I digress.

It all depends on the system $/GH/h (and J/GH...) ratio.

You make it sound like it will be a 7 foot 60kw tower :p

While the average person might have 100 amp service and could maybe spare half of that,  some others may have 200 amp service, half of that is about 24kw at 100% load.

you would have to ADD a very large, I assume, shipping charge to your true cost to own and $/Gh. in this context, $/GH/J have less meaning.
If the machine cannot fit in a garage, I could think that it will weight at least hundred kg or something like that.

I would have thought up the same modular way, as this saves on the exterior, multiple small fans, and controllers and MB.  Bitfury, and ASM have been doing it for awhile, they probably have custom Unit-sizes in house that the public does not know about, in their mines.

if that's 1 unit...I'm out. 3-5kw is all I can handle atm. That's not big, that's a behemoth!!!

All I can say is I hope Spondoolies can see there is a big market for home miners and will help us!?!?!?

12U and 16KW, wow huge density, about 80TH(at 0.2W/Gh) will probably be game changer

The SP35 was already 2U at 3650 watts.  So form factor is similar.

Or maybe a SP320 at ,5 efficiency

Or SP400 at .4 Smiley

No home miner,no crypto-coin.

And that's the bottom line!!! I just can't see warehouses full of industrial miners keeping
Bitcoin alive. There are Thousands of home miners that keep it going. Spondoolies is a good
company and we'll see if they wanna keep the Bitcoin Spirit alive.

12U, 16kw, 10 replaceable hashing boards.

You might be surprised... I have 200A service and a highly underutilized 100A subpanel in the garage.  67A@240V is nothing!  Seriously though, that is going to be way too costly for me.  Maybe a mini-farm scale miner could do it, but it is certainly not for a nano-farm scale.

How about a 2u-3u chassis that accepts 1-4 of the same replaceable boards that the 12u uses and also uses our own PSUs?  The chassis would need to be standardized in a way that would last years and instead of replacing the entire miner every generation we would buy new boards for it (considerable savings in the future).  Due to the dimensions, it would probably have to be "some assembly required" to keep the shipping cost of the chassis down.  I'm not sure if this could be done cost effectively, but it could be an option to consider.

I'd even consider replacement boards for our SP20s instead of a whole new miner, but I imagine that would require you to spin a whole new board design and would be costly, thus the chassis suggestion (two chassis sizes, same hashing boards) might be better.
