Update sw and see if issue reproduced
Updated software about an hour ago!  Smiley

It was running slow all last week and this morning I did the update.  After turning back on, I put the Max Watts to 1360.  But it doesn't get up to 4.0.

Firmware is 2.3.43
Do SW update again?

Yes. Last FW is 2.3.46.
OK- doing that now.  I didn't see the 'New!' label in the Firmware Upgrade tab.  So I assumed I was current.  But I see that it did indeed get a newer version.  I'll report back after an hour of observations.

Thanks!

Edit: Ooops - got worse.  Loops 5 - 9 are now off.
LOOP[5] OFF (test serial failed)
15: disabled (i2c BAD, btw!)
16: disabled (i2c BAD, btw!)
17: disabled (i2c BAD, btw!)

Reboot -
OK!  Now it looks like they all came up fine.  Now I am running at 4300 4455 on that one.  Been at 3000 all week.

It is funny. It is called emotions i guess. I would do the same as well sometimes. Point is spondo, bitfury, bitmain & AM are all serious but very different competitors and businesses. May the best one wins. ^^

Actually, I didn't say anything positive about any products. I just stated you could get x amount of y for the cost of z, making z terrible value. Also, given that I'm not promoting any miner and that I don't even have a mining banner in my sig, how could you possibly accuse me of being a shill for a Spondoolies competitor? How does that even make sense? When I have an AM banner in my sig and I'm promoting AM products (like you and Spondoolies) in competitors threads, then you can call me a shill.

I'd like to congratulate AM for dramatically decreasing the $/GH cost of equipment and shipping from stock.  I'd like to boo them for the shocking controllers and terrible power consumption.

I'd like to congratulate SP for the excellent engineered products, good power consumption and first class customer support.  I'd like to boo them for the high prices compared to similar products and not having stock.

There you go pleased and upset everyone in 1 post Smiley

Bitfury has >30% of the network. Bitmain has TONS of hashpower too (no idea how much, but it must be 10-20%). AM has what? 200TH/s on BTCGuild? Come on. Don't put the big boys in the same line with AM because they still have a long road ahead until AM equals Bitfury and Bitmain.

More bla bla bla
Thank you for posting. 9 more pages and we'll be the third longest threads in "Hardware".
Not bad for less than 6 months.

Still in good mood.

Yea, this thread is a little ridiculous.  Nothing but complaints about prices and "ROI".  I personally am looking forward to my SP20, and yea, I will get my ROI.

Simple solution that has been posted many times, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE PRICE, MOVE THE FUCK ALONG!

I have respect to AM and Bitmain past achievements, but they're not high on my list. I don't believe China will be able to compete in 2015

... shocking controllers ...
Not upset at all.
I do envy those low cost controllers, especially in the SP20 form factor. It's something AM did right, IMHO

Everyone has its own strategy and technology (and market - ie. china is not that small i'd say). Not everyone are public tho. From chip-making to self-mining or retail selling there is plenty of space to explore.

Right?  I don't like the price of a new DB9 Aston Martin either.  They really need to lower that.  As soon as they put the price down to match a Ford - I am going to buy one of those.

Well, at least when you drive a DB9 off the lot you know you'll get your ROI when you're done with it.   Roll Eyes

Why low % of rewarded shares on Eligius for SP-30?
83%? What could cause this?

<snip image>

That's nothing to do with the SP-30 and everything to do with bad luck on eligius.

I have SP-30 on Eligius and S-3 (multiple) also on Eligius.
Sp-30 produced 83-84% awarded shares
S-3 (all) produced 94-95% awarded shares during THE SAME time period on the same pool (Eligius).
I would like to to know what the possible cause could be (certainly NOT bad luck on Eligius).

Those percentages relate to the luck of the pool during the time it was mining.

You can't compare the SP30 stats and the S3 stats unless they STARTED mining at the EXACT same time and have both been mining for 100% of the time.

If you check several users in the contributors list you will see everyone has different percentages, if you don't believe me ask in the eligius pool thread.

...
Always pleasure to have another AM devotee in our little thread.

I must say, compare to his horde of zealots, FC in person is a great guy.

Usually, I would have asked abour dividends, but since AM gen4 is around the corner, it saves me the trouble.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirage

Beside, Athens is great and I have good mood.

Guy

What was the point of that little rant of yours? It is a fact that you can buy 3 AM Tubes + PSUs for less than you can buy an SP20 + PSU for. That's why you didn't even bother trying to deny it. You just rant about AM zealots coming here which is even funnier considering that you were actually trolling the AM thread yourself, have spouted lots of misleading nonsense over there and an actual zealot - RoadStress is still there making up crap and pretending its facts.

Talk about hypocrisy.

Instead of trying to create diversions, why not respond to the actual issue - the price of SP20 being far to high. If you don't like that fact, you actually have the ability to do something about it.

Chances are the tubes will not work though...the fail rate is amazing.  I agree SP is expensive, but at least it works. AM does 0 quality control.

I guess the awarded shares have to move closer to 100% over the longer term, correct?

Wasn't it actually your Ethernet controller which failed? You know, that cheap, separate component you were told by FC to buy a couple of because they were known to be shit? That component you only bought 1 of for some reason despite being warned about their failure rates? That component you can just easily swap for a new one? That component which isn't even actually necessary to mine with?

Didn't you sell the Tube anyway?

I think the long term average on eligius is around 98% (mine is 96% but I don't mine there all the time), it'll never get to 100 due to orphans, but it will certainly rise though 2x 8.5 hour blocks today won't help, just bad timing starting during a bad luck period Sad

Take a look around...tons of bad boards, controllers, and dead chips.  Yes I ditched it ASAP after seeing feed back on them plus dead controller.  Fact is they are poorly made and no QC.

Sorry SP I will not litter your thread any more.

Any actual numbers about the P2Pool performance of these devices?  Is anyone out there willing to mine on my 0% fee p2pool node for a while so I can see what one could expect out of one of these devices?  If so, please PM me.
