What's the point of using that when you have the preview tab which is to enable you see what you want to post and how it will appear on the forum, this way you can check for errors in spelling, grammar,  quotes, image and so on. Notepad does not show these so I don't see any need going through that lengthy process for something the forum have a better option.

Although, Op didn't give a better explanation but I think why he brought this up is not all about previewing your post and making corrections, it more than that. The notepad comes very handy because there are times you may be typing a lengthy post using the forum's editor, there may be some network challenge at your end. The page would reload and you could lose everything you've typed.

There is a preview feature before posting, I do not think that there is a need for a notepad for this.  Aside from that, anyone can use Grammarly as a plugin for checking spelling, grammar, and sentence structure corrections.  And once we preview our post, it is automatically saved.

A draft is now saved whenever you post or preview a PM or post. You can see your saved drafts here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts

In case there is a connection problem, a simple copy and paste can do it. You can also click the arrow on the browser to go back to the previous page if ever there is a problem with the connection when you click post.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Most of us here are not English native speakers and that's fine. If someone is struggling to post in English language, there's always the local board of your country where you can discuss and practice.

I agree to the folks that have said that preview button is enough or even without the need to preview it, just read and review your post before pressing that 'post' button.

I know that with these tools will make you look good but use them as a guide until you think that you can stand alone without them.

But it's not an issue whether you use them or not. Whatever makes you feel good and free, follow those tips.

Dear, there is no need to use Notepad before creating posts for bitcointalk and if you feel you have some grammatical problem or spelling problem you can use the Grammarly extension on Chrome that can help you to optimize/remove your post mistakes. On the other hand, creating posts on Notepad does not provide adding tags easily while here on bitcointalk it is more handy and easy to use/add tags so in short it will take less of your time to create posts on bitcointalk rather than creating posts on notepad.

I'm of the opinion that the preview tab is good enough for you to review your posts and see how it appears on the forum. Using a note app may be ideal if you're working on a lengthy topic that requires research and may take days to finish. Other than that, the preview tab is better as you will be able to see problems with url links, embedded images and so on.
