In Italy we can at 14. In many countries this is not socially acceptable and 18 is the requirement. Happily I am not born there.

This is very interesting. I believe not many people aware of this distinction and varying terms.
In your personal opinion. An 18yr old with a 16 yrs old girlfriend is a ephebophile. This is a sicko, or perfectly okay?

For my own interest and opinion. I feel a distinction should be clearly made between an 18 or 21 years old guys having sex with their 16 yrs old gf or even 14 years old gf, and someone clearly suffering illness that would drive them to seek sexual contact with young young children less than 12. Clearly the younger the child the more serious their problems are.

I know it feels like that at your age, but there really is no "urgent necessity". You've got plenty of time, and you really should take advantage of it by waiting until you're more emotionally mature before getting involved in sexual relationships (and avoid getting involved with anyone much less mature than yourself).

I think the topic of sex is too exaggerated in the modern world. We all need to pay more attention to the soul, true love and all the brightest in this world.
What morality can we talk about when people often have the desire to satisfy their needs (imposed by society) in their heads, rather than development and harmonious relations.

But this decisions is about the age of valid consent. Child cannot think for their physical health and are easily influenced by many things. The consent given by a child is not considered a valid consent and a sex with a child with consent is a rape.

different cultures have different ages of maturity.

for intance americans are notably quite dumb. hense why they cant have alcohol until 21 because they have been known to not have the self control.

there are other nations that have good education in life skills and general better moral compass as to how to interact with others. which is why some countries have lower age restrictions.

I think at 14, and surely 16, a boy knows if they want to have sex with their girl friend or they do not. Forced is unlikely. Girl not really going to force.
Girls may be more vulnerable. Also as you know,  boys can't really have a sex for real if not aroused, where as girl can do if even sleeping (why some people use rohypnol ).

I estimatate the core of the concern or interest here was that society should be given new terminology (franky said there is now already) therefore a clear distinction in their perception of the correct scenario.

I didn't know about the other term I thought it was only Pedophile.
But what about the teenager who is about 16 yrs. old that have an older partner would you still consider them sicko since they are near legal age and already aware of things?

The problem is when the young person doesn't want to have sex with the older one. This is what is called pedophilia.
If both counterparts agree then I don't think that there is any problem even if there are 14, 17 or older. In modern life girls and boys have sex even from 13 years old.

Well the technical definition of a pedophile is someone who has sex with a pre-pubescent child but people often use the term pedo or nonce colloquially for anyone who has sex with people younger than them. I do think doing it merely by age isn't always right. That makes it ok to have sex with someone on their 18th birthday but you do it a day before and you're a sex offender? Obviously that isn't right and there's lots of factors that should be considered. The age of consent in the UK is 16 and I assume you're talking about Prince Andrew??? If so, I think the controversy was more around him being a married Prince and Epstein possibly having groomed/trafficked these girls than having sex with a 17 year old which wouldn't have been a crime, but might have been if it happened in the States. Either way it doesn't look good for the Royals.
