Technicals were supporting the growth. Leaving 2018, there wasn't a time when Bitcoin just went down without recovery or went up without correction. It always happens. Market after testing the most important support, went up and now it is correcting. The old typical Bitcoin price movement. That was all technical based on volume and support and resistance. Pretty much every investor was waiting for the jump. Only the entry point would have varied.

I have 3 things in my mind about this rising price again

1. The current situation between Iran and US, with the price of oil rising, everything goes up, so as crypto as it can be use for funding by the government and other people may also be preparing for the worse,

2. We may be witnessing the second bull run, it is what we are waiting for right, just dont be get too excited ofcourse.

3. Whales might be doing something , or maybe they are trying to rally the price and then dump it, like always.

But no matter what is the cause you should be very careful on what we are going to do next , always keep in mind what happen before but, if you feel this is the time don't hesitate we might be witnessing something more better this time.

Well there is the USA / Iran war scare, this is more against markets than pro bitcoin, it means some investors flee to metals and crypto when they see any potential problem with the global economy. Nothing new.

Bull run? Well there may be one for the halving, but it is a bit early. The push wasn't too strong in the end, but if Iran continues shooting I'll go back up.

So what is causing the price of bitcoin to drop now?  People easily draw conclusions to any little changes that depends in the market value of bitcoin.  Personally, I'm fed up with all these assumptions made by bitcoin and its market value.  Please we need enough evidence for these assumptions...

It offers a new and progressive technology. It is not surprising that in times of instability, people prefer to buy Bitcoin.

Despite of the risk of investing in Bitcoin they were facing people still choose Bitcoin as an investment asset. But we can't deny the fact that more people are still using fiat than crypto because fiat is less risky than in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is just there to be use as an alternative of fiat and also is an investment.

With this, I highly doubt bitcoin's market price could easily be manipulated or dumped by the whales. Yes they are the whales but even if they hodl allot of bitcoin, they still couldn't obtain most percentage of bit that is why these whales need to be coordinated first, their action should be in relation to one another for them to succeed in pumping and dumping the market price of bitcoin though, it is easily evident in the market on how fast bitcoin could go way up high and decline. But one thing for sure that makes it possible for the manipulation to happen, is when there are people getting manipulated. They support the dump or pump to still make profit.

I agree with point 1 and 3 of OP. The main reason was Iran and USA tension and whales are taking advantage of this pump and giving this pump massive air. Whales will sell their coins which they have bought at lower price and many will buy these coins at higher prices and will struck after this bull run is over. That’s how whales keep on getting richer and richer.

As I mentioned in some topics here about bitcoin's pump, the market has linearity that makes assets rise when others are also rising. It's true when the oil's price hike, BTC price also surged.

Maybe or maybe not, bitcoin halving is near, so chances of 2020 bull run are getting high. We already witnessed the recent pump of BTC, it might be a sign for the bull run.

IMO, It's possible also, 1 and 2 are the closest possible reason for bitcoin's hike but 3 can be the main reason. Whales are always there, waiting for an opportunity, it's just a sleight of hand for the whales to manipulate the market if there's a chance.

That's always happening though, as you said, I mean this high volatility of bitcoin's price is really familiar and currently I think this increase of the price was due to the Iran and US wars probably, It can be always because of the whales which they always manipulate the market as they wish.

1.Agree with this. I think the war seems to influence a lot of people I don't think is just a coincidence that the bitcoin is increasing its market price the same time the war started.

2. I think this have the war is obviously dangerous but it is also affecting the market price of bitcoin. But I think bitcoin will have its way in pumping as the technology rises so I think war doesn't really the thing that will go to get bitcoin to the edge.

first reason more Suitable with condition now. few days ago news of Iran and US war, its make the bitcoin price go to up not only bitcoin but also gold increase price.. very Advantage for trader and investor unfortunately this condition can not hold for long time
