The real waste of money was the unending baseless Russiagate investigations as well as the prolonged impeachment show process in The House. The problem is not the rules, if the rules were actually followed none of this would have happened. She wanted to feel powerful that's why she held on to the impeachment articles and she knew very well that there was certainly no way that the whole thing was going to go through in the senate with the Republican majority. A president is generally called impeached when the house of Representatives votes to. Some people argue whether they need to wait for the senate trial.
But the real trial is going to happen in the elections. And the people (actually the electoral college) would decide on him.

You aren't making a retort at this point, simply repeating your premise. The Senate can not move forward until the impeachment is transmitted. Since The House's job is not complete, and The Senate has the constitutional right to try the impeachment, until it is transmitted, it its not legally a complete process. The vote to transmit the articles proves as much.

Now that they have done their own part to the best of their abilities. Thank goodness the writers of the constitution did not leave the fate of the President in the of just one calibre of people. Now the ball is in the Senate to decide whether those allegations would hold true or they would't. Although my opinion does not matter, it still does not mean it cannot be given.
