[CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+

We are increasing the reward up to 4 USD for Hero Member and for Legendary Member (maximum lumpsum payment of 100 USD a week for 25 posts), and up to 3 USD for Sr. Member (maximum lumpsum payment of 75 USD a week for 25 posts). Also, we will be paying a weekly bonus to 5 participants the quality of whose posts we find the highest. The bonus will be 30 USD for 1 participant (the total bonus for 5 participants will be 150 USD per week). So, the maximum reward for a Here/Legendary Member together with the bonus can reach 130 USD per week which is 1.5 times higher than the current reward.

However, the number of participants will be considerably reduced. From the current list, we will keep only 20 participants and we will open 5 new slots for Sr. Member, Hero Member and Legendary Member. We will announce the list of the remaining participants tomorrow (September 09, 2020).

It is cool to see these changes are coming and will go in effects since tomorrow. Whatever results for the list tomorrow, I appreciate your changes, in terms of quality and payment rates as well as bonus for top 5 participants each week.  

It's sad to know about this major changes in the campaign, but I understand how you guys want to grow more. It's been a long time being a participant in the best change campaign. Although it is sad for me as a full member only, I'm honestly glad that you guys are aiming to get long in the forum. I'm also glad that I've been part of your history. Kudos BestChange !

No need to feel sad and you can take it as a motivation to increase your post quality, rank up (in the process of ranking up, your post quality will rise, even you don't notice such daily changes). Later, you can come back with application and take your slot if you deserve it. If it is not BestChange, you will also be able to find another good campaign.

My disclosure
The merit system motivated me and its play important part to my post quality as well as my contributions on the forum. Now, there is no rank higher than Legendary but earning merit is my favorite habit. I feel bad if I don't earn a single merit each week, honestly.

As I said, even no new rank, I've still enjoyed my climbs on median, and interquartile range (for earned merits).

It's sad to see that I have no hope to be in the campaign anymore. Most importantly, I am 24 merit away to be considered for remaining in the campaign even. Thanks for the updates, according to you 5 new spot will open. So, I have a question, will removed participants are allowed to apply for the open slots? If no, then are new participants should apply now, or should wait till tomorrow for the final announcement?

We will start accepting new applications tomorrow. We will favor new participants in comparison with those that were removed earlier. Which doesn't forbid those who were removed to apply. This is not forbidden.

If you check this topic title you will see "Sr Member+" part, meaning that only members of that rank and above will be considered.

As far as I can recall, BestChange stopped accepting new Full Member rank somewhere around mid May. There are obviously an exceptions to that, but higher ranked members often mean better quality therefore more visibility. After all, that's the point of signature campaign, to bring exposure. These new changes and reductions are not a surprise as quality of BestChange members have been increasing constantly with each new participant and this is just another step in the right direction that will ensure longevity (and success) of the campaign.

I admire the desire for adapting the signature campaign to the forum needs. Not many services tent do do it.
You made some good changes like keeping the minimum required posts to 10 and paying per post which just reduced the HQ spam which gives you a better reputation.

I don't want to be pushed to post just because I'm missing 4-5 post. Ideally the signature campaigns shouldn't change the posting behavior of the participants, but this of course is almost impossible as many users are here just for the $.
Anyway, you can make it a bit more flexible if you want. Like the participant can choose to wear avatar or not, many people prefer to keep their own avatars and have only signatures on for reduced reward of course.

Sometimes you see participants from the same campaign in a discussion and it's a wall of all the same avatars and signatures and for my opinion it doesn't look very attractive, but again this is just my opinion.

The content of the posts should be more important than the number of the posts. Of course, every service wants a better exposure but the practice have shown that those who hire posters just to reach the weekly quota are not taken very seriously. So you are heading towards the right decision.

The CM campaign has put the bar very high but it's a good example how a sig. campaign can be successful in a long run.

I always lurking around here if the best change will open a rank for their full member again because they change the rules previously on payment to avoid getting spam a low-quality post just to reach the minimum rank requirement and I fail my expectation again that they will open for FM.

Looking forward to this campaign to make it longer and I will earn more merit to get a senior rank to join here.

You are absolutely right here.
it also needs to be redefined rule "Post made after page 5 we usually consider as a spam." very often there is a constructive discussion after 5th page. For example, ANN thread may contain relevant information and quality posts on 7th page, more than some useless topic on the second page. it is noticeable that one part of the participants posts only in the first five pages, regardless of the quality of the discussion. motivating users to post only in the first few pages almost has the opposite effect and produce some spam here.

As for the app, it is not the company’s priority at the moment.

Although its your team decision to launch mobile app or not but in my personal opinion your registered users will like to get connected with your platform through mobile app. I hope you will keep it in your future roadmap.

Let's be honest, almost everyday in the world, there are people who are accessing it. If bitcoin can be used to it and bitcoin can be adopted in this way, it is more likely that this cryptocurrency have a lot more to explore with.

We are often compared with CM. It looks like a lot of signature campaigns are compared with CM and we are not an exclusion. They have their own path, and we have our own. We are simply acting out of our business interests, but we do want to include interests of our campaign participants as well. It is important that the campaign manager understood interests of the campaign participants, and campaign participants understood our business interests.

As for the avatar, we will have to think about it. At the moment we do not have a final decision.

I support that this specific rule needs to be changed. The way it is now, your members are incentivized to post in new threads only. For the sake of reaching their quota they would rather stop commenting already existing threads for new ones.

Don't get me wrong here, but TBH, spam has its own definition and you have the right to choose which posts to be counted and which shouldn't and you are not entitled to give any explanations whatsoever on those uncounted (or discounted, whichever suits) posts. I believe you should remove this rule at the first place because even if your signature is on the last page of any thread, it is there at least which means that your name is there in that thread that's old enough and/or informative. If you'd like to get a sureshot suggestion, I'd ask you to extend the number to 10 pages, that too for maximum half/quarter of the posts a user makes. That means, if I make 10 posts, 5/7 of them are allowed to be on any page and the rest 5/3 should be on or under 10 pages. How's that?

While we need some reasonable impressions (views) gained for our signature, this thing that bounds us from posting in old threads and rather make posts in new threads should be revoked as our posting habits should not change because if quality matters, you are there to check it out and decide whether or not to count a post. We can't deny the fact that many of those newly created threads by different users are meaningless and we just can't create a new thread just to reach our minimum posts).

With all due respect to BestChange decision in the rules of the campaign, this just makes sense at all. I really had hard time looking for threads that has less than 5 pages to post, sometimes I think opening a new one will do the job for me but the content that day or week does not seem to be interesting.

I think what the BestChange needs to amend in the rules is this one, make every participant post freely on the first page of the section regardless of the page count, but you have to have an examiner more likely a post examiner that will decide if one's post will count towards the week quota.

This could be a lot of work to do but if you are really changing for good, bringing more quality, I think this will do.

It's not like it was banned to post on threads with more than 5 pages, Best_Change still allows up to 4-5 afaik. Besides imo, 5 pages is pretty long already, and most topics would probably have diverged from the original topic. My recommendation would then be to let the new discussion be done in a new thread, which would make it a lot cleaner and easier to talk about. Additionally, they already implemented the new payment system, so it's just a matter of getting paid more or paid less if some were to post in mega spam threads instead of new ones.

Probably the best if there was some sort of vote regarding this? If most are dissatisfied, Best_Change could probably compromise BUT only add 1-2 more posts since as they said, megaspam threads may have useful discussion, but MOST of them are actually just spam, which just adds a lot of workload for Best_Change. That or, use @Stedsm idea of a quarter of total posts since half seems to be a bit too much.

Seeing how BestChange has made several changes in recent times, the more we see the seriousness of BestChange in prioritizing quality, not only about quantity.
How not, if only prioritizing the number of participants who use the Signature from BestChange, of course, they will prefer a large number of people to participate in their campaign and will not change to this latest rule.
However, BestChange made an interesting and important decision, namely to reduce the number of participants from this signature campaign. And of course, the selected participants will be the best. I am sure that all participants in the BestChange signature campaign are very good participants. And of course, every participant will hope that they can still be part of this signature campaign. Regardless of the outcome and whoever is selected, it is BestChange's right, and of course they have their own criteria and consideration.

In addition, note that there are additional payments and interesting bonuses for the 5 best participants. This is very interesting, where the participants will try their best to be 1 of them. And this will have an effect on the increasing quality of the participants' posts. I remember when being in the previous signature campaign, there were rewards like this too and need more efforts to get the rewards, but, nothing is impossible. And in any case, it is very motivational. (Of course, the participants here may not intend to make posts just to get a reward, but rather a better contribution to BestChange and this forum).

- Don't spam. Post made after page 5 we usually consider as a spam. We can accept no more than 10% posts of weekly post quota (for example 2-3 of 25), if posts are written after page 5.

• Mostly, problems of OP can be answered in a few first posts or a few first pages. Honestly, after page 2 to 3, discussions tend to be repeat what are presented in early first pages (1 to 3 or you can expand it to 5). It is why the forum has a lock button, when answers are given, lock topics. Unfortunately, many members don't lock their topics)
• The rule does not say that all posts after page #5 won't be counted for weekly payments. It is at 10%.
• Disadvantage: sometimes posts after page 5 can still be helpful -- when newbies join topics and ask for answers, if you write a good post, it can help them. However, as said, answers can be found at early pages (mostly). They are simply too lazy to read first pages and look for available answers.
• A helpful post in early pages is more helpful than another helpful post in page 10, 20 -- if contents are similar
• 4 posts per day don't kill you
• The rule can help to reduce debates on how posts are counted and accept rules of campaign during participation time is a must.

Its been a while since they implemented the 5 page rule about spam ans counted post. I know that everybody has their own reasoning and nobody is wrong here. But the only one who could feel the improvement regarding this rule is bestchange company itself. They know if the system favors the advertisement strategy since then. I assume its working but of course, as a participant of a paid signature, and a user dedicated on this forum who wanted to continue posting on mega thread with quality topics are not wrong. Thats why there is a 10% allowance given to us as approved by them when the rules are amend.

The improvement bestchange made probably working on their need here. Everybody will not be pleased by the news as some of us will be removed but for the benefit of the company they are doing all what they can suggest and improved.

Because I always remember what bestchange keeps reiterate about the ads. They dont want their signature to be swarming on old post which is reasonable. I do hope that best method can be implement for both parties that gives the benefit for everyone.

That was the same thing I was going to write.
But there's another feature on this forum which only a few know about, the Google Search feature on this forum.
How?
If a user wants to search for a specific phrase but are willing to write it as a question, do it like - What is "Bitcoin"?
If something is to be searched which covers two different topics, search - Bitcoin + Blockchain.
Many more ways are available to possibly reach some specific threads where these users can easily find their answers, but who would like to do that when they want to increase their post count? Hehe.

Not to forget that even if newbies try and search their questions on Google, they can get instant answers to almost all their questions as internet has too much of information available to questions which we can't even think of, and Reddit, Bitcointalk as well as quora are all your best places to find all your answers.
