Maybe you will see that I'm new in this forum, but that doesn't make me a newbie. Read the topic I wrote called "Backbone analogy for BTC current & future price movements" where I predicted that this dip would happen.

And of course this is only my personal view. Make your own responsible choices.

Analyst also advice people that it is too late for shorting thus it is a good opportunity to buy Bitcoin, they even suggest to wait a bit longer because there is a possibility that Bitcoin will go lower but who know when it will happen.  So I agree accumulate while others are fearful, and besides the upcoming halving seem to be or maybe a good assurance that Bitcoin will go up in price in the coming months.

Actually we are not really at the dip, the market is still in a good position. Yet we are anticipating the possible rise of price when halving is on. Having a choice to invest is not too late but instead, it is a good catch by then. It could be our opportunity, may we could see the price back to dip in the few days but we are losing a huge chance to generate gains instead.

Yeah now there is a decrease again for the price of bitcoin, it is great to buy it to prepare later after halving, it looks like the current price can be said to be still cheap if later after halving bitcoin will fly high. Maybe after many people have bought bitcoin at current prices, the price of bitcoin will rise again, because of the high demand.

can be said to be cheap if your goal for the long term because in my opinion if the price is still under $10,000 it is still relatively cheap when compared to next year we never know even it can go double. so if you want to buy it can start partial, because it seems the price will go down first.

Considering the price has gone down and it looks like there is a huge upwards movement coming in very soon, I agree that buying as of right now is a great idea. I was afraid of buying because it looked like going up and I hate buying when its going up, I prefer to buy when it is going down, so right now I feel like buying bitcoin is much better compared to 48 hours ago.

You may think I am crazy to buy when the price is going down but in reality nobody ever makes money investing into any hype or increase, if you buy something AFTER it goes up 40% then you will lose money, you need to buy it when its at the bottom and I feel like we are at the bottom right now. If it goes under 8k I will sell as well but until that happens I will just keep my bitcoins and keep on buying more until it goes over 8.5k at which point I will stop buying and start looking to sell.

It's still recommended to buy not yet late but the biggest opportunity was last year when Bitcoin was trading at $6000 to $7000 level, but like what I said it's not yet late as long as you are buying before halving you are in a good profit after the halving, that is if you can hodl your portfolio and sell it at the right time.

It's never too late to buy Bitcoins, even after the halving. I do not expect the price to skyrocket after the halving, but Bitcoin is unpredictable and all we can do is speculate. But I do not sell the idea that by simply buying before the halving you're going to profit.
You pointed out selling at the right time and that I believe is the best quality of a trader or hodler. Timing is the all important factor in trading; long or short term.

That's the good thing with bitcoin which is very unpredictable like you will not notice that can earn good profit by just buying on it, but take note not all the time you can gain by just buying bitcoin. I agree with you that all we can do is to speculate but by just doing this kind of stuff you can prepare yourself on earning good profit or losing a huge amount of money. Just like what I have said in my previous post that we still don't know what will gonna happen to the result of bitcoin halving. I like your idea that buying bitcoin before halving and it might be applicable if you going to buy now. Although we are not sure about profit it still good if you are ready for its result.
As long you can gain income from selling bitcoin it might be the best time to sell but if we considering the huge profit that we intend to gain maybe you should wait patiently like it will hit the highest price on the market and I agree that with proper timing of selling will lead to you a good profit.

Of course I have prepared money to buy bitcoin lower, only part of what I hold at the moment, but if it continues to fall, I will buy again.

We will never be sure of what will happen in the market that is just the reality of it, at some point you need to take a decision, do you want to buy now or do you want to wait for a better price? Personally I think the price will drop even further so it does not make sense for me to buy now but that is just my opinion and what I plan to do, you need to take your own decision based on your skills and even more importantly you need to learn how to live with that decision in the case you were wrong.

With a decrease of price like this is a hint that we need to restock our bitcoin upon selling when the price is high. But the best time to buy was when bitcoin is in $7k range although we can't go back again to the past. Let's just make a good decision this time since bitcoin is quite high enough.

But $8k is still big. Kidding, I don't think it is good to buy right now, when you are planning to sell it after halving. Quite an early preparation, there are still lots of possibilities that could happen anytime, and we ain't sure even if the price will soar anymore. Can't blame you for preparing but do not be so reckless, as in buying on a price which ain't even recommended by majority to buy. Well, either still upon for you to decide in the end.

I agree with you that we should take advantage of this dip.  I've already got my own, purchasing some when the price was down, I personally hold bitcoin as a long term, not for the halving, I see a lot of people buy and collecting bitcoin as much as they can only for the halving, so now this is a great opportunity for them, just buy before you'll lose that chance the price will skyrocket, stay hungry when others are fearful.

I also don't understand the errors some of the newly investors are doing. I once had an order 20% below market price and some guy really managed to sell me his coins for that price.

Hopefully more people would be given a great opportunity to purchase bitcoin on this price range at $6k. That's a very good chance for all of us to buy while price is low, and we won't worry about more crashes because after the dip we will see another good pumps. There's no exact date for when it could initiate a huge increase, but we need to prepare for the best bounce.

But maybe the situation will be changed in the next week because usually if the price is down at the weekend, that is for adjusting before it increases higher. We will see what happens the next week, and we can hope that the price can break $8500, and even the price will break $9000. Obviously, your points are right in this scenario, But still we have time to buy and hold the crypto. Because train is stop now and it will start to move forward again so those are believe the crypto potential, they only invest all the fluctuation. This is the normal fluctuation on crypto platform and if we can concentrate day trading we can choose desire project or If we choose mid term or long term investment Bitcoin and top altcoins are better investment.

Good decision but if you take a closer look on the price it is still good to accumulate today knowing that the btc halving will bring good run of btc price sooner. Lately the price are also slowly going down from $9,000 down to just $8,300. Theres still a good chance to fall below your desired level of purchasing btc.

Buying at dip is a counter trend strategy where it requires depth analysis, amateur traders and professional traders are also having hard time to successfully execute this kind of strategy. If you hear buying at dips, it looks like simple but in reality it is really hard to do. If one coin is starting to crashed, you cannot know if it is the dip. You still need to eait for confirmation of reversal before you buy or accumulate positions.

This is the time for buying bitcoin I have also bitcoin but I still accumulate bitcoin and I want to hold it for a long term. Hope that price is reach and I will buy some also to hold and wait for halving and I know that bitcoin will goes up again like 2017 price and it could it double the price. So keep on holding and keep on believing that bitcoin will goes up soon
