It's very difficult to be able to uphold the bounties to the level that we do with other contracts, but there is absolutely no reason why people should be getting underpaid or not paid at all for their work when they were promised pay.

As you say, it is probably a good idea to stop advertising for projects that have very little prospect of having legitimate development in the future. Advertising for them will only perpetuate their idea that bounty hunters are essentially free labour.

I wonder if there will be a union structure in the future set up for hunters, that would be interesting.

The problem is too much bots that promote twitter and facebook campaign and they didn't care to analyze the project first. As you can see that even when the bounty has already closed and the people are still creating more and more report to the social media bounty.
This is a very difficult task as you can do nothing to suggest them all caused by they are using bot.
I just try to take softcap as a minimum requirement to participate in the bounty but the majority of hunters are still blindly promoting the campaign.

You are right. Mostly, bounty hunters experience this. In fact, this condition cannot be ignored completely as long as there are still bounty campaigns.
This will relate to the success of a project. It relates to how we promote the project to gain more investors and to be successful, at least reaching their soft cap. However, once more, due to the strict regulation and sometimes complicated rules after the bounty ends, this makes bounty hunters feel mad. They have worked for several months and get nothing,  or they should get the reward by only fulfilling additional requirements that are announced after the bounty ends. Although the manager has the right to make or change the rules, it is unfair.

Well, just simply said "This is the risk for us".
If we are still welcomed with the risk, go on. And if we don't, just stop and look at the BTC or eth paid bounty campaign.
You can find them on service, but of course, the rules are stricter.

But of course, there are actually still several bounty managers that give fair rule and regulation. Just follow the rules, fulfill the tasks, and trust them to give you the rewards (of course it needs more research and choose the popular BM).

That is the reality in bounty hunting it seems like it is gambling too. Betting or entering a campaign without knowing that you will really earn from it unless it is BTC paid or ETH but campaigns like that are rare mostly signature with limited participants. To minimize the risk we should DYOR too even unique projects now fail because the lack of supports from the community no investors because everyone is being cautious and careful and not ending up being scammed.

Yes, you have a point.
We should be here as bounty hunters to have a mindset and be compact in terms of payment that we only want to be paid with BTC, eth, usdt or anything that already has a price. It aims to sort out also the fake projects because the fake projects certainly do not have initial funds and only try their luck to raise funds here.
At least that way, payments to bounty hunters are guaranteed because we help promote not beggars.

Absolutely you are sad that the current situation of bounty hunters because there is almost 80% bounty campaign gone without any rewards to bounty hunters due to they have not reached the targeted funds in the tokens sales at any those platforms ICO or IEO. because the investors lose hope in those Platforms due to increasing the scam projects day bay. a better option is to get the bounties rewards in altcoins with a weekly staking base.

This is the nature of most of the Altcoin Hunters in this community they will promote 20 projects and sometimes only received form 2/20. this is the reality of bounty hunters. but there is no losing here, if you really want to have that single high payment bounty, you really need to join that many because you never know where are the legit one, that's why you join them all and sometimes you catch the big one and earn a lot of money from bounties.

Yes, you are right as you have point on what you are saying but not all the bounty hunters think the same like you especially if they are desperate to even earn some few bucks in spending their time and effort.

There are plenty of newbies who have no capital, most of their doings is to join as much as many bounty campaign that they can handle while hoping to earn a few bucks for free in the end of the bounty. But for us who have the experience already, we consider this thinking as free promotion to those shit projects but we have no power to stop them as they have freedom on what they are going to do.

I'm pretty sure that you know promoting bounties takes a lot of risk. Because you really don't know if you are going to be paid or for how much money you are getting.

Again, as I have said, if you think that the project are not going to pay you in the end or the risk on your part is huge, then stay away from the said project. I don't think that projects are going to bend their rules just to cater to bounty hunters sentiments, just saying.

I think before doing work as a bounty hunter, we really need to prepare it. however, we do not know which projects are actually paying and which projects are not paying. however, before entering 20 projects, you need to check from that. Sadly, i think the "golden time" for bounties may be over nowadays... Too many shit projects, too many hunters
Alot of projects are taking advantage of bounty hunters, making them work for nothing yupp   others yet change the terms after the ICO.
At the same time the competition is rising, more and more people everyday being told they can "strike it rich" doing bounties

I always try to check how strong that project is. But still, sometimes shit project came and we work for them.  I think some projects failed to launch their product because of the lack of support from the community. But still, there will always be some projects that worth working as long as the crypto world survives.

So far as there are no specific rules governing the way bounty campaigns are launched on this forum, bounty hunters will always end up promoting Bounty projects for free so far as there are no specific payment system here. Project managers will always take advantage of bounty hunters so far as there is no specific payment option.

Since i know bounty is not profitable anymore i only focus on signature campaign. If not paid, i am not really have big effort in it and keep do my real job. Since first, bounty hunters must know if project for now not really good, beside careful to pick project, maybe if not get paid it means project is bad and it will have impact for the project itself. I will prefer to get paid from 5 bounties after promoting 20bounties because it's not easy for many new projects, they mostly have hard time raising funds now and so they can fail easily, as a bounty hunter you should consider this as normal risk

before the ICO trend started, i remember that every campaign we participate treated as the same as normal campaign.
unlike now that developer think that they are just given us free tokens, well in fact its the payment and  we are not asking for it for free they should prepared the payment for the job we done.
The solution for this is stop participating in bounty let them realise how important the advertiser is , and do not follow they give rules they are the one who should follow the rules first.

Does the developer of altcoin care about the bounty hunter community? I think not.

I think many altcoin projects cannot afford to pay for promotional participants because of funding reasons. In general, many of them do not have fresh funds to pay for promotional participants because they only expect participants to be paid after the project has managed to get a lot of funds from investors. If the project is underfunded, the promotion participant will not get anything even though it has worked for months.

One of the reasons why I dont promote altcoin bounty anymore is that there are no guarantees that participants are paid for the work done and which I think is a mistake.

Only advice for them:
1. Every altcoin project developer must have a new reserve fund to pay for the participants promotion fee.
2. Funds must be held by Escrow
3. Pay participants weekly or monthly according to the price of their product.
4. Etc
It is about what I think so that not many bounty hunters complain about similar things in the future because they are not paid for their work as promotional participants. But I am not sure they will implement this system in the near future, because there are various goals for altcoin developers there and one of them is to enrich themselves.
