Pivx Lite is a pure POS v3.0/masternode coin.
As the name suggests, Pivx Lite is a fork from Pivx but with 4 major differences.  

1. As of this posting (February 3, 2020) there are only 9,468,00 coins in existence.

2. Block reward is only 4 coins in order to maintain low supply of coins.  

3. 70% of the block reward goes to masternodes and 30% to POS.
 
4. Masternode collateral is set at 100,000 coins and are awarded 2.8 coins from a block.
   (as of February 3, 2020 there are only 12 masternodes online)

PIVX LITE was originally launched under the name Quark 2.0 (Qrk2). It was re-branded to PIVX LITE on December 23 2019.

9,321,106 coins were mined (exact amount of Quark 2.0 coins in existence) for a 1 to 1 coin swap with Quark 2.0 holders.  
The Quark 2.0 code base was not compatible with Pivx Lite therefore the new coins needed to be mined on the new Pivx Lite blockchain.

after the completion of their swap, what would be in store for this coin? they have put some items on their roadmap to accomplish for this year but nothing in particular that caught my attention that will give them a solid reason to prosper in crypto space. can they attract companies to use the pivx network rather than other network?

70% of the block reward goes to masternodes and 30% to POS. How exactly is this implemented?

It is based on see-saw mechanism in the code take from Pivx code.

Block rewards received by the staker and winning masternode vary based on the amount of coins held for masternodes vs amount of coins available for staking on the network allows for Variable rewards based on needs of the network to keep the network services (Masternodes) and the security of the network (Staking Wallets) evenly distributed. When there are fewer as the number of masternodes rises the portion of the block reward that they earn is reduced, it increases when the number of masternodes declines.

The reward is static in that the winning masternode will always get 2.8 coins and the winning POS staker will get 1.2 coins to = 4 coins per block reward.
