The rate of desperation in the cryptocurrency industry is really hitting the roof.

I decided to take this medium to enlighten users to protect themselves and their assets against a new scam in town.

A guy by name "Allen Stanley" messaged me on telegram.
He said he wants us to make money together.
I told him to go on, he said he works with  https://betxloot.com/, a crypto betting site. Below is his display picture.

He said he could make anyone he likes to win the bet, that he can proof it if I want, but I had to create an account on the above site and bet with at least $70.

He said he would have done it himself, but the team already knew him and his wallet address, so he wanted to make another person win and share in the winning 50/50.

I told him I didn't have such money, so he insulted me, after which I told him to bring the $70 for the betting, then he will take 60% if he makes me win.

He told me to give him my username on the site, which I did, immediately he sent $70 to my dashboard.
He told me to place a bet, which I did, when the bet which lasts about 2mins was up, he made me a winner.

I won $4998, he dropped his btc address and told me to withdraw and then send his 50%, to me it was too good to be true.

So I attempted to withdraw to my btc wallet, and a message popped up, it read "because it's a new account, your assets are frozen, you will have to deposit about $100 - $170 to unfreeze your account.

When I showed him a screenshot, he pretended as though it was random, he started persuading me to deposit $100 to unfreeze the account,so I could withdraw the huge sum I had won. I refused to deposit as I knew it was scam.
I played along so I could get enough information about how they work.

I believe by now you too have come to understand that it is a scam site, Allen Stanley is working to get people deposit $100 to get a winning that is not real.

Even other members of the platform were chatting of a game that doesn't exist, making it seem like a normal activity, which we already know they are all part of this scam group.

Please do not fall for this new scam betxloot.com, they might want to entice you with huge winnings, but a they want us your btc, don't give in.

He said he wants us to make money together.

The moment someone offers you something like that, you can be 100% sure that it is a scam.

What you shared is a standard scam scheme, and unfortunately inexperienced people still fall for it, despite being too good to be true and an obvious scam.

Well you are not the first one to report such scheme. You can read it here, [BUSTED] A new type of scam has arrived.

Exactly the same MO, but I suspect that the name is fake as well. Good thing that you didn't deposit and fall for the trick. I'm sure that they have victimised unsuspecting people already that's why they kept their scam running for a long time now.

Looks like the Crypto industry is now full of scammers. What bothers me most is that they can't be regulated. I hope we all shine our eyes and not be greedy to fall for scams.

Every time someone chatted me on Telegram and I didn't know that guy, I automatically block those users.
Why would someone offer such amount of profit in return? and if you're not interested at all you better to deny them at the first place.

Scammers have their own way to get your money, if you entertain them for sure you can be a good prospect for them so better not to reply at all.

The rate of desperation in the cryptocurrency industry is really hitting the roof.

You are probably new to all this, but I will not be mistaken if I say that anyone who has been active on this forum for 5+ years can easily write a book on crypto scams. 2017 was similar to what is happening now, but due to extremely high prices, many have left their honest jobs, and now they are trying to earn their money by cheating others, because only one lucrative victim can bring someone an income that he could not honestly earn in half his life.

Please do not fall for this new scam betxloot.com, they might want to entice you with huge winnings, but a they want us your btc, don't give in.

Free advice from me, do not use Telegram if for some reason you have no other choice, and if you do use it, report such people to Telegram immediately and then of course block them from bothering you anymore. Legitimate and honest people do not spend time on social networks and share money or free ideas on how to legitimately earn it.

Any activities/things involved with money, there will always scammer behind about it.

Not only on cryptocurrency, you'll see scammer in real life or something like that so called self proclaimed professional traders.

Regulated or non regulated can't prevent scammer, even though it has been insured. If the fault are from yours, not the "centralized entity" fault... you'll funds can't be recover back.

I have had similar discussion with an unknown user on telegram telling me to predict games for me, he recommended the gambling site I will use to predict on, I didn't bother to complete the discussion with him because I know already he is a scammer trying hard to steal my funds,
I will advice everyone reading this comment, that you should be careful with unknown telegram chats, admin of a project would never pm first, so be careful of the chats that comes in, impersonating to be admin of any gambling site that contains some malicious malware.

Now? It was almost always full of scammers, the moment it went mainstream there was no going back. Even if it takes 1 in 10, or sometimes 1 in 10000 for the scammer to have a positive ROI on the time spent trying to find victims to exploit, they're still going to keep doing it.

Most of the time it is a scam, I mean who on their right mind would want to make money with other people, humans are selfish by nature so the only reason that a stranger or an acquaintance will approach you saying to make money is when they know that they are going to get something big out of it. The problem with people falling for this scam is that they are afraid to be rude so they don't ask the right questions that will make the scammers sweat.

ICO's are not regulated and many past ICOs were scammers, it's up to us to educate ourselves, so we will not fall into these scammers, scammers are always looking for methods and ways to scam newbies and naive, and people's greed are not moderated also that is why many scammers create traps to trap these greedy investors.

Money is the root of all evil, as the crypto space continues to grow expect that bad people doing scams will likely grow too. There’s no solution to this if people will not educate themselves first before getting involve in crypto, as long as there are weak people to exploit this will never stop.

If you want to move forward and to be wise and save your money, better how these scammers work even if you know how Cryptocurrency and blockchain work if you do not know how scammers worked to scam investors you are at risk of losing your investment, these scammers are good in impersonating and making things realistic and they always capitalize on your greed, so be aware.
