it got some demand but i dont say alot because why the price is only at 10k levels ? alot of demand means the price is already over 15k or much more than that . the rise of the price is not only made by halving but also because of the corona virus because before when there is no corona , the value of cryptos were only stable . 20k usd seems hard to achieve still , so yes your right that we first need to see a 15k usd and the things will be more easier because the more the price gain the more people are dying to grab thier hands on crypto due to fomo . |

YES, IT CAN! However, I do not think that it would. $20,000 before the end of the year falls within the realms of possibilities. The bitcoin halving later this year could also be significant, but I do not see it's the effect influencing the price in that direction before the end is the year.
2021 should be the year bitcoin skyrockets.
This is just my opinion and should not be taken as a financial advise

Many people want to see bitcoin cross $20,000 this year, and it might be possible to happen because bitcoin will halve in the middle of this year. So that can trigger the price to increase higher, but we don't know if bitcoin price can increase fast or slow because until now, bitcoin price increases slowly. We can hope that if bitcoin price is down, it will not go down for more because if bitcoin price down for $9,000 level, it won't be very easy to rise to $10,000. But for reaching $20,000 will still a mystery to happen because we don't know when it will happen. |

Of course it can happen, but as long as the market continues to grow and not collapse. $ 20,000 is not too high a target for Bitcoin at the moment, just a large pump works, I believe the price can go up in just 1 month.

I wouldn't count on that. Don't base your predictions only in form of wishful thinking. Everything is possible when it comes to Bitcoin, that is for sure but I don't like exaggerated predictions that are not based at some data.
We all expect that every new year would be the best year for Bitcoin so far but market isn't always following our wishes.
To my opinion Bitcoin price this year will not go higher than 15000$ if it comes that high at first place.

It seem's that most of the TA's are expecting it to break a new ATH because of the up coming halving.
And I think that it could cross $20,000 if the bull run continues.
There is always a chance that it could make it since we still got plenty of time or day before the year ends so many things could still happen.

Bitcoin can do it! We have seen in the past how bitcoin surge from one level to some higher one's, in days price can move in thousands of dollars. If I remember correctly in 2017 bitcoin made ath in just 2 weeks, from 2k to 20k, that can be checked who wish to know accurate info, to me that's not so important, bottom line is that bitcoin can rise in price exponentially in short period of time, but that is a two way street, it can drop too.
As a gambler I see everything in some odds, chances, call it as you like. Chances for bitcoin to make new ath this year are low in my opinion. What we currently see is some preparation for some future bull run, but that will not happen soon after halving. The halving is a big event for bitcoin community, but except hype around the price there are other important questions too. We will have to wait halving, some time to pass and things to settle and only then we will have a bull run that everyone waits for.

We all see and wait for that bull run. Many people predicting the bull run this year, some predict bull run for the next year. Some experts talk about specific months when will it happen. I think that Bitcoin price is capable of achieving $20k this year. If more people joins, if we get more interest from governments and companies Bitcoin can go to $20k in less then a month, and until the end of this year we have 10 more months. |

precisely ATH previously occurred on Dec 17, 2017, at a price of $ 20,089. it is the highest price since bitcoin was made and has a price. if you look at prices at the moment, it is clearly needed more than a 100% increase. I'm not sure about the price of $ 20,000 at the end of this year, but there is little hope from halving that could push the price of bitcoin closer to that price. if prices can reach $ 20,000, I'm quite optimistic that it will happen in 2021. |

It theoretically can, but no one knows if it will. If you want a more precise answer, I suggest asking your nearby fortune teller.
@GmAdvice I’ll answer yes and at the same time I’ll tell you that, it’s quiet possible that bitcoin prices may not cross $20k by the year end because of it’s volatile nature. @mk4 while I’m not a fortune teller, but I can see how it’ll go with the fortune teller as the FT will tell him the same thing like we just said here. I hope now you’ll understand that no one can predict what will happen with bitcoin prices, as we all try to make predictions based on our gut feeling. Therefore I’ll advise you to do more research about bitcoin prices, as I feel you lack the necessary knowledge regarding it. We already have so many fortune teller when it comes to crypto just visit twitter and you could find so many fortune tellers who are predicting the crypto price. You could always ask the same thing every year and all you could get is the same answer "Yes it could get up to $***** by the end of the year" . |

The last time it happened was in April last year and what happened in April? Bitcoin went from ~$5k to ~$12k in a 2-3 months period.

X-price mostly a higher ones" Then they probably watch some responses hoping for the bullish ones among us and based there quick rich buying upon those  Every other day the same thread, can BTC do that in this period of time ?? No one knows and please buy cause you know its good and world changing material, buy because you learned something about it and why its convenient etc Not because you only think its gonna increase % in a short period of time.... |

Last year I answered a similar question and I answered yes because I am very optimistic that bitcoin will make a new ATH last year but it didn't happen, so this year I will still believe it will happen, I won't stop believing and actually this year has a great start and I like to believe that people are really hype with the upcoming halving.

Why not put a realistic goal of like $12,000-$15,000 this year and wait for 2021? Yeah, like that prediction, but people here wanted to see the price goes to $20,000 and relieved that 2017 again. Different time folks, as much as we wanted to see that price goes on parabolic rise, much better to wait and see what happens after the block halving. It could reach more than $20,000 for all we know, however, it will really take some time and maturity again before we can see the next big bubble. |
