In any case, Deshaun Watson has been suspended for 6 games. He should be thankful that he still is playing in the NFL. There are some players who might not be very lucky. He can relax for those 6 weeks and have his favorite massages if those relaxation therapists are not hiding from him.

Re divisions: I think 2 divisions would make the schedule fit nicely into the 17 weeks. 8 games within division (twice with each team), 5 games with the other division (once with each team), that's 13. 4 teams into playoffs, two-week playoff round, two-week championship match. Total 17.

Alternatively we can have 8 teams in the playoffs, and three one-week playoff/championship matches, total 16 weeks. But 8 teams out of 10 into playoffs, and then a top team possibly knocked out by one bad game seems a bit too random.

What we had last year in terms of league length and structure was not ideal. ESPN is probably the only platform that has its default leagues set to have two weeks per playoff round. I won't even get into the hassle of having to play in Week 18. Lol
 
Two-week playoff rounds are the most unnatural thing there is. It's win or go home, can you imagine the Super Bowl being split into two games?

15 weeks regular season is not that much...before you know it, it will be Week 10 and every game will be a must-win. With only one division, at least three or four teams will have a chance at making the final playoff spot in Week 15.

We haven't talked about the forum league in weeks. I thought it is a good time now with the Hall of Fame game next week and pre-season there will be only 4-5 weeks left. We should probably figure out the draft order first, i'd really want to know my draft position, i've been drafting against the cpu on fantasypros for the last week and a half.

...then let's create the actual league with all of the rules/settings as discussed, pay the entry fees, and agree on a draft date/hour. It's a lot of work, and it may take some time to get everything in order, so why not start early?

Dolphins owner being suspended for several weeks, losing a first and a third round pick, as well as being fined 2 million (pocket change) is nothing surprising to me. But the news of Brady having been chatting with them while still playing with the Patriots was kinda crazy to hear. I guess it’s not completely shocking, but not sure how I feel about it when he still had a season to finish with another team.  I guess I’m surprised the news seems to not be focusing on Brady’s part of it ad much as Bry are the dolphins owner.

There were rumors early in the off season that Ross was trying to woo Brady by giving him partial ownership, he was pretty desperate.  As for yet another Bradygate, I don't think the rule applies the other way; i.e. if a contracted player initiates contact with another team, it's that team's obligation to not break the rules.

So it begins, the Hall of Fame game in less than two hours, hell yeah! I couldn't help myself and placed a couple of bets: Jags +2.5 and U30.5.

The Jags surely would like to move on from their disastrous season under Urban Meyer, and a couple of preseason wins could help. Someone mentioned Doug Pederson's positive preseason record in his first year with the Eagles on a podcast i caught the other day. I mean i didn't bother checking to see whether it was correct, but i do believe they have a little more to play for today. As for the U30.5 points, defenses dominate in preseason games, and we won't see many of either team's starters...so yeah!

Sorry to hear that, it's not looking good so far.  I don't like putting money on preseason (meaningless) games.  So all my bets are going into phutball across the pond.  

It's the season so nostalgic to see Nick Mullens, 'tis the season, lol.  I can't believe we had him as our starter for while.  He's a smart quarterback, but he's a runt with a mediocre arm.  He'll make a carrier as an emergency "third string," on various teams, and we'll get to see him in the pre-season for at least another ten, maybe twelve years.  In reality, it's probably the best job a guy could get.  He won't make the big bucks, but he'll do quite well (by my standards, anyway,) and his chances of becoming a vegetable are greatly diminished.  Really, it's a win - win.  I'd fucking do it.

Do we need to give the quarterbacks such a demotion?  I think we had 6 points for passing TD, and 1 point for 10 yards.  I don't think QBs made many more points than a good running back or Deebo.

N/M I forgot about the 1st downs, that adds essential points and 1/25 really only affects long plays, so whatever.  The passing TDs are fine as well, not sure I agree with it but again, I can see why some would think a pass should count for less.  I like all the other setting, too.

It appears that massage therapists in Cleveland will presently feel safe. The judge included a mandate that only massage therapists that were hired by the Browns will touch Deshaun Watson's body hehehe.



Robinson’s decision also contains language that mandates Watson receive all massage therapy from Browns therapists, according to a report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Edit: just an FYI, everyone should keep in mind when voting for IR spots that having more than normal is a good idea with Covid and all.
