The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Sunday lunch time through until 8pm on Tuesday. I was a senior programmer working on a real time mainframe project for stock brokers, and we were getting close to going live. I had to cat nap behind the printer a few times, and I didn't get paid overtime, as I was on a monthly salary. I was called in on Sunday because the mainframe operator had put the wrong paper tape loop on the printer. That shows you how long ago it was.

That's insane since you were on salary, do you feel you got more opportunities down the line for the sacrifice you did for that company? Or did they just expect that from you?

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

10 12-hour days then 4 days off for one year as a land surveyor for the Appalachian Trail mountains in the 100 Mile Wilderness. Often had to canoe on remote lakes with our supplies to get to our ad hoc website.

I did usual 12-hour shifts 2/2 for about a year or something around it. I wouldn't say its exhausting if you at least somewhat enjoy your work. However its kinda funny how people were making unions and were fighting for more hours and days off work to be with relatives and just live. Now people trade their free time for temporary goods.

I worked a 14 hour shift 8am-10pm
Well, currently I am working from home with my first shift starting at 1am-9am with overlap at 7am-11am, then another shift from 2pm-6pm which makes it a 14 hour shift.

I worked a 14 hour shift 8am-10pm
Last year, I worked straight 17.5hours from 7AM to 12:30Mid. The sad part is I have to go home in the middle of the night without having the assurance of my safety and my house is far away from my office then on the next day I have to go to work early again. That time, I think I only sleep for 1 hour.
