Coinmarketcap should stop doing this shit job. They are helping scammers in a different way. CMC recently added liquidity option then why they still ranking these shit exchanges on the top! Bilaxy is the number one exchange according to trading volume, Fatbtc is number 3 and the hall of shit IEO P2PB2B exchange on 4th place where Binance is 13 ranked exchange! Such a hypocrite, ridiculously job by the CMC. They should stop it right now, these shit, fake volume exchanges are ruining the honesty of the crypto world. What do you guys think about it?

This is really sad that a top platform works like that. CMC is one of the most used website or tool in the crypto world. When we talk about Bitcoin dominance, altcoin's price, the volume we collect information from CMC, not from coingecko or Livecoinwatch! But look at what they are playing with us. Most of the calculation from CMC is wrong nowadays because they list all the fake, bot trading things Comparing this, coingecko is doing far better. OP, you raised a good question, CMC should look at this and change things into positive.

Absolutely agree with your point this kind of attempts are creating so much confusion especially for new crypto community there is no doubt that cmc is top rated platform for getting knowledge about cryptocurrency and exchanges but somewhere I think cmc is misusing its huge reputation maybe it's happening because of money anyway the present crypto community is smart enough and they know very well the deference between right and wrong so this kind of attempts won't work for cmc.

This has been a big conflict even before. CMC just uploading files that comes from volume on their listed exchange. Unfortunately they can't monitor efficiently which exchange uses bots and manipulated the markets. If you would noticed they segregate their volumes into adjusted and reported to make sure that people can recognized which is more accurate volume. Maybe in the future they could fix their set up to more precise market outcome cause to be honest, these exchanges uses these data to fool investors but when you actually check the market its just a wash trades cause the buy and sell order dont match and lots of gaps.

Yes, you are right. It seems CMC is misusing their high reputation. I heard they took money to rank up many unknown exchanges, even they were a partner of scam IDAX exchange. We all know it but still suing CMC instead of Coingecko. So, the CMC team should realize this and get out of these scammy activities.

Actually this incident has been a while. Unfortunately at this time the CMC platform does not work well, or cannot distinguish between original volume and manipulation (price/volume). To see coins or tokens at the moment I still use CMC, and not to see the exchange volume. And also the rank of coins/tokens is 1000 and above I think it's also shitcoin and doubt. in CMC I only believe up to rank 100 only.

Yes, there is no such Marketcap website where scam exchange is neglected but Coingecko is doing a bit better than CMC by listing real exchange in the top rank. In CMC, Bittrex ranking is 93! I just can't believe how hypocrite C being now, but in Coingecko Bittrex is on top place, that fascinating to see.

The exchanges that are on the top list are very known to us unlike in CMC, I'm not familiar with those at the top. I guess CMC allowed themselves to be paid just for the sake of this ranking since they have the huge traffic for market cap website.

I prefer Coingecko over CMC, in my opinion CMC only retrieves API data from markets that upload fake volumes. this is unfortunate the market reputation is bad with the highest volume.
many top markets with the largest volume are in the 20+ ranks such as binance, huobi, bittrex and others

This is something about the fully reported fake volumes. And I don't think CMC is guilty about this issue. In other words, is it wrong to publish this not really causing the problem?

We should at least be a little bit more conscious. Everyone who spends some time here (in the forum) knows that exchanges like P2PB2B, Fatbtc and bilaxy are impossible to reach those volumes. There is already a saying in it. DYOR!

CMC is massively adding various advertisement and this time CMC is a money-oriented site. Just never use this site again to get the real volume from the market and all of the volumes that already written by CMC were fully manipulated. You can use https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges as an alternative site to the CMC and just suggest you take a look at the comparison between the actual volume from both of these sites.
CMC has placed so many scam exchange sites at the top of exchange sites by daily trade volume while coingecko was putting all of the reputable exchange sites with actual volume and it's not having washtrading volume like CMC. What we can do just never try to open CMC and use another site. That's a better choice right now because im doing it.

Very sad that CMC is still taking no step in formating the exchanges. Most of the times I see fake volume exchanges are in the top. However, it's true that CMC has changed/added a lot of things to give the best impression to the users. They have recently added some more features like adjusted volume, on-chain analysis, ratings etc but they need to do something for the exchanges I think. Most users have already switched from CMC but to be honest there is no more good option too.

It is better to fix this problem by cmc because it is not good to give wrong informations especially when money involved. If they don't fix that  probably no one will visit cmc website and they must bear in mind that they are not the only one who have this kind of platform. I think their requirement for categorizing exchange has to do with trading volume. However, we may not be able to blame them because most of those shit exchange work their way up by using bot to increase trading volume in order for them to rank up in the coinmarketcap exchange rating. The worst part of this that most new project dev consider CMC as a resourceful site and give them high priority in determining listing site but at the end of the day they do not get what they want.

We can't completely blame coinmarketcap, because they only display a data from an exchange, I don't think it's easy for coinmarketcap to be able to distinguish between genuine volumes and fake ones.

choose other website if you want to look for legitimacy of daily trading volume of every exchange. Coinmarketcap adding the list of top crypto currency exchange base on volume and they dont care what exchange as long its in the top volume  that day.
And those exchange doing that fake volume want to be in the top list because they also want to have more user's and being in the top volume is the easy way. Other than that it can attract dev to list to them and earn money from listing.
