I just realised that airdropped merits aren't counted towards the BPIP rank. This always confused me because I noticed some users with more merits, more activity, and more post counts still fall below my BPIP rank. For example, my BPIP rank is in areound the +-1300 range, while other users, who seem to have more stats in terms of merits, posts, and activity are ranked in the 1600-1700 range. I just couldn't get the math, it never made any sense , until I decided to mess around with BPIP options and found out they had lots of airdropped merits, which wasn't considered in the calculations.

Yup that's the one...or this one below..both are same though, it seems..

One more tip for you. 
I saw you use the BPIP browser extension. There, you can enable the showing of how much merit a member has earned.



For example, you can immediately see how much total merit someone has earned and how much has been airdropped.
You can also turn off showing of an airdropped merit if you do not want that information.

Yes, I have been using Bpip extension for as long as I can remember. It's just I never explored additional options. The *show earned merit option was turned off from my side. That's why I couldn't make sense betwen the user ranks. After turning that on, I saw those users had like 500 earned, and 250 airdropped. Hence their rank was 1700+ and mine 1300+.

I just saw this user in the gambling board started posting after a long period of inactivity. But why does bpip still says inactive where the user just posted twice today?
Um is this a bug or does it take some times before that badge is eventually removed?

I believe it takes some time for BPIP to scrape the user's profile and notice he is active again.

Isn't BPIP supposed to check all new posts for activity too? I thought it did! If it doesn't, I'd be happy to provide a continuously updated list of the last 10k userIDs that made a post.

Yep.

"inactive" on BPIP is any user with a last active date >90 days ago.

"archived" on BPIP is when a user becomes "inactive" and has 0 trust, 0 merit, and 0 posts. Autoban & nuke'd users are also get automatically set to archived when the ban occurs.

The "Geshers" account mentioned in the OP will have both "Archived" & "Banned" status on the site. The extension appears to just display the banned status for those accounts, but any banned account would also get archived.

Once an account is archived, our parsers no longer check the profile. If an archived account makes a post, the parsers would see that and remove the archived status.

In Roy443's case, there was a locked job interfering with the check on recent posts yesterday/today (thanks for the alert!! ), so parsers didn't see those posts, and the account didn't get its "archived" status removed. The locked job is clear now, but in unique situations like this, anyone can also use "Refresh now" on BPIP's profile page to queue parsers to check the profile and get the status updated for the site & extension.

The longer an account is inactive the less often it's updated. This particular one will be updated in ~9 days unless someone clicks the refresh button:

I have an enhancement planned that if a new post is detected it would update sooner but it's going to take a while to implement.

It does normally check the recent posts page, although it looks like my parser was locked on the recent posts job again.. at some point we need to write in some sort of auto-unlocking mechanism on the job check, to at least see if the job has been locked for an unusual amount of time and auto-clear it. The last check on the recent posts page would have been around 5 days ago, but this job is cleared now, so it should be checking again.

Not sure what went wrong but I don't see any change. There aren't any options to add personal notes. The script is running, enabled and everything.

Edit: Apologies, I hadn't turned on the developer option, that's why it wasn't working before, it works now, perfectly.
IMO, it would be a nice addition to the "all in all extension".

Not sure what went wrong but I don't see any change. There aren't any options to add personal notes. The script is running, enabled and everything.

IMO, it would be a nice addition to the "all in all extension".

The script works, but it may not be perfect. I created it months ago for myself. I was inspired by a script already written by Tryninja and modified it to my liking.
I released the code under a MIT licence, so anyone who wants to can use and modify it if they wish. They can even insert it into another extension such as bpip.

I remember few years ago TryNinja released similar usercript called BitcoinTalk User Notes, and I have to say it's very useful.

I didn't test and compare both scripts, but I will do that in next few days and try to find pros and cons.

Yes, I already mentioned that it's not really my creation. I took inspiration from Tryninja's script and then structured my own script based on that, which was initially only for my personal use, so much so that you won't find my userscript on Greasyfork because it's not indexed and can only be found via the link I shared!
However, you're right, I'll give Tryninja credit on Greasyfork too. It hadn't even crossed my mind to do so, and I wouldn't want to be considered rude.
