I have these two movies on my list for a while now, especially Fatman. I still remember feeling a bit of confusion and mixed feeling when I first read the synopsis of it :

To save his declining business, Chris Cringle, also known as Santa Claus, is forced into a partnership with the U.S. military. Making matters worse, Chris gets locked into a deadly battle of wits against a highly skilled assassin, hired by a precocious 12-year-old, after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking.

I mean... why? Just why? This seems like a random straight to VOD movie with a famous actor name attached to it. But if you do recommend it I guess I'll have it jump a few spots on my list ...

A great old movie, starring Liam Neeson, which somehow I missed for so many years (shame on me!):

Oh the feelings man... The girl with the red coat... Those last minutes of "brighthness" that the main actor feels at the end of the movie ... Those two scenes opened my heart and broke me in two (without saying "excuse me!"). It was the first movie that I saw that trully made me cry watching the performance of Liam Neeson. Gosh I've got to rewatch it.

The above horror movie helped me to find that a TV serie was also created about the Dyatlov Pass Incident. The serie is not actually horror (excepting a few scenes), but it is a very good Russian thriller. It has 8 episodes:

Hadn't heard anything about these but being based on a real life story has me hooked. Will definitely try to see at least the pilot!

I am not a fan of Russian movies / series (who is?!), but the above mentioned serie is really worth watching. Somehow, it reminded me about another great TV serie (not Russian):

Awww Chernobyl has a special place in my heart. The tremendous amazing performances, the script, the settings, the raw and pure emotion given in each scene.... Incredible piece of art.

It is more like a movie you can watch on Sunday to relax... It's not great (i.e. like a blockbuster), but enjoyable... Actually, both movies with Mel Gibson follow the pattern of being enjoyable, without being great.

The Dissident - 2020 - Documentary, Crime, Thriller - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11382384 - This basically follows the story behind the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. I've already knew the major points but seeing that even the Turkish government knows that this was an premeditated assassination just blows my mind. To this day justice wasn't made for Jamal.

Assassins - 2020 - Documentary, Crime - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11394276 - Based on true facts (again). This time around regarding the murder/assassination of Kim Jong-un's half-brother, Kim Jong-nam. The plot that was put together to murder him and having two innocent girls to act as paws is astonished. To this day justice wasn't made for his death (and never will probably).

Normal People - 2020 - Drama, Romance - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9059760 - Just pure beautiful acting in this one. You feel chemistry / connections regarding the leads on the very first episode. Their love story is relatable (the pressure from our group of friends in HS, what happens when we follow separate ways, etc). I'll miss Marianne

This is one of the greatest hack movies that I watch love the plot twist.

I just finished watching the film Nobody, actually the storyline is almost the same as John Wick. Where someone who has a terrible past wants
to live a normal life and some petty criminals wake up his past. What's interesting in this film is the trigger for the main character to become evil again,
is only a cat necklace. The rating on IMDB is also quite high, so those who like the action genre must watch it.

I'm in the process of gathering all the movie recommendations that were posted in this thread and I'll be trying to organize them in a way that's easy to read / search. I think this will both increase the number of different movies entries and we can then get a glimpse of what genres our user base likes to see.

Yup! I am reporting them and peter too. And apparently, we have also helping hands which were not aware of (see in post of Chato1977). However, if there are posts not respecting exactly the rule, but they give much info about a movie, these are not supposed to be reported (like this one). The rule was to improve the posts quality, so when someone was mentioning a movie others would know a bit about it. Of course, also for limiting spam, as many newbies not aware of rank-up criteria are trying to get many posts thinking this is how they rank-up lol. But if someone gives more details about a movie is okay. Practically, the problem is not about guving more details, but about giving too few

This is very nice of you but it'll be very hard. For example, at the beginning, I posted once about 1500 movies in a single post However, if you do that, it would be amazing!
