Crypto Conferences getting Postponed.

Better safe than sorry. Vietnam has just recently quarantined a commune near Hanoi. It'll get worse especially now that we know that the incubation can be as long as 24 days.

If this gets worse at least cryptotraders can still make money while staying at home so it's not all bad. Many info about crypto can be found online anyway. Would be interesting if they decide to just do a stream event. Crypto users tend to be tech savvy.

Indeed. What matters now is the health first before anything else. And the fact that there's travel ban in some countries to prevent spreading the virus while medical teams are still in the process of finding solution.

It's okay to adjust crypto conferences because they can still do that in other times. It's just hard to interact with other people you don't know, especially coming from different countries. And most conference stated were located in China so it's too risky for the attendees.

this  could be the reason of the dip but there are pumps before during the virus happens . now im confused if virus has a positive or negative effect in the cryptos but one thing is for sure , if there is no virus occurence , no conference will be cancel so more up in the price will happen due to adoption .

Corona Virus has been a hot issue for weeks. Aside from all the topics here relating the price to ncov, this also results in postponing some crypto-related events in Asia. Governments are trying to prevent spreading the virus inside and outside their country. Travel ban and postponing of some events were some of their actions about this issue.

Due to this virus, Binance Blockchain Week in Vietnam was postponed that was scheduled from February 29 to March 04, 2020.

Hongkong blockchain week in March 2020 also got delayed with a new date that will be announced soon.

Annually Major crypto conference TOKEN2049 in March was also moved on October 2020. "Over the past weeks, we have been monitoring the global developments around the Coronavirus closely. Whilst Hong Kong is managing the situation well and has taken strict precautions to contain any potential impact, uncertainty prevails.” noted on a blog post of TOKEN2049.

Not only crypto conferences were being affected by the said issue, but even Asian trade fairs and conventions are also postponed. China's oldest trade fair, The Canton Fair, has postponed the event that was scheduled to be held on April 15, 2020. Other events in China are The East China Import and Export Commodity Fair, SEMICON, the International Building and Construction Trade Fair, and the annual China Development Forum.

Singapore also postponed its Food & Hotel Asia’s trade show and Travel Fair NATAS Travel. While in Europe, the annual Mobile World Congress have witnessed many companies pulling out, including LG Electronics and Ericsson.

This shows how Coronavirus can affect not only in China but us globally. As a precaution and for the sake of everyone, bigger events with bigger audiences and guests mostly coming from different countries have to delayed their events.

This issue isn't just about health because even the economy can be affected by this. Companies were also being affected especially those who are based in China, stock markets are down due to the said virus. Most events stated are in China and some other countries near China. Even in my country, non-related crypto events also got postponed because it is said to avoid going to crowded places to keep yourself safe.

We can see this as an unfortunate event which can make a huge impact to the crypto market but on the other hand, we should atleast be thankful that such precautionary measure took place to avoid possible contamination of the Corona Virus. It's been so long when the virus outbreak started and we can already feel its impact to the market value of different currencies. It has given a positive effect somehow since pumps occured during the panic but we cannot still be certain that having such phenomena can help our coin's value rise up.

It's better to take preventive measures than to ride against the government measures to controlling the spread of the virus. For now, I think things can be done online with various social platforms pending when this global epidemic has been put under control. Life comes before anything.

Since crypto is on the cutting edge of technology, or at least presents itself as such, it would make sense to move some crypto conferences to virtual reality or at least make them accessible over the Internet in some other way. Not only it would avoid the risks of the virus, it would also save lots of money and allow much more people to attend it.

These are some good measures taken by various governments, but can't they use filtered air that's been used in airplanes? Such air could prevent them from getting infected from the virus if a distance of at least 1 meter is maintained between each and every person in the conference as well as everyone remains face-masked? Just saying, I don't think that a flight flying from above China would get cancelled by another country be it the country of arrival or be it the destination itself because the virus won't chime in if the flight doesn't get a hold in China and goes to another country non-stop.

This is a typical approach if there is a contagion. Government are trying to avoid public gatherings as much as possible because they are preventing the spread of disease. It is in the best interest of the public that the government are trying their best to fight this contagion. This conferences can wait, would you rather have the virus and get tips about investing in an unstable market or stay safe and get to see the future where cryptocurrency becomes stable.

It's really frustrating that even crypto events are affected by the pandemic virus. I thought it would only affect China but it's now affecting even the global economy. We only have to follow the precautions because our lives are a lot more important than any events. even government conferences and other important events are now getting postponed and canceled. Staying indoors is the best thing that we can do now. I just hope that things will get better soon.

Every events are getting postponed, sports, entertainment and businesses and not just events, even companies that are in widely affected areas are now asking their employees to work from home. All these are being done to ensure safety of people.

This outbreak is really contagious and people shouldn’t be in a crowded space since it can be spread easily.

I am a fan of football and even basketball, but if you have been following up, you will notice that during some matches the field were empty with only just the players in the pitch, people didn’t come to watch sports anymore.

With the fast spreading of covid19, almost sll activities that needs presence of many people are now postponed and delay. Here in my country, which is Philippines, almost all school classes and works are now postponed. Classes are now done online and employees are working from home. Also, there are many business that stopped priduction for the meantime because of the outbreak. This is the effect of covid19. Many activities are postponed, which is a much better way to stop the spread of the virus.

It is safer to cancel conference if it is not healthy to be held in designated venue if it is confirmed to be at risk or fear of it. Corona virus is really a fast killing demon and everything thing needs to be done to check its spread.

I believe that the reason is not only security but also that no one will come to the conference to a place that is potentially life-threatening.
Therefore, the main problem of holding a conference is whether people will come to it at all. Organize a conference now, that would be a complete failure.
