There is a complected scam accusation is going on against Coinplay. The team has enough evidence that the player was taking advantage of arbitrage betting but they don't want to explain their methods of investigation. I suggested them to pay the guy even if they are the victim but the management seems to be strict with their own decision.

I can not share more information but according to their terms they have right to confiscate the players account balance with the deposits he made. For those who are very keen to know why they refunded the deposit of the player is because they wanted him to understand his mistake. According to them if scam was in their mind then they would not even consider to give him a penny.

To me, it's now a case where Coinplay don't want to lower their guard, I left them my suggestions of what could be a better solution to this case. If they do then we may resume the campaign until now the campaign is on PAUSE.

About relating them with 1xbet, it was resolved long time ago. They already cleared their side of story and it was convincing without any question. According to my investigation they are not associated with 1xbet people. The only similarity was the script they used, later they updated the wording of the contents which were missed to update at the time of the launch. That's all latest from Coinplay Signature Campaign.

Post counts are done for Week#20 and I will make payment later today.

It was nice 20 weeks with Coinplay team and looking forward to the case to be resolved.

If they're saying he's arb betting on their site, that's one thing.  But there's no reason for them to want to keep their method of detection secret, he's either doing it or he's not.  They just need to look at his bets and do some basic math.

What I suspect they're trying to say is that they think he's arb betting across multiple sites, which is obviously a ridiculous reason to keep his money, especially without any warning.  And the only reason they would want to keep their method of detection secret is so that they can freeze more funds.  If they were actually concerned about players arb betting, they would be open about it and players would be less likely to do it.

I'm sorry but this site has 1xbit written all over it.  Same software, same scummy tactics.

That's bullshit.  They have refused to tell him anything.*

Yeah yeah yeah.  Every crypto casino has the right to scam every player.  But it should always cost them their reputation.

*Note: I'm giving the player the benefit of doubt at this point in assuming he's not just fabricating all of the evidence or leaving out important information since he has by far been the more reasonable party of the two.

I'm sorry but this site has 1xbit written all over it.  Same software, same scummy tactics.

I looked into it pretty thoroughly before joining the campaign and it appears Coinplay always operated under the Envision gaming license as opposed to the 1xCorp license. That part never changed, just what was displayed on their website. How do you know they are owned by 1xbit?

Regardless, I already changed my avatar & sig, a bit disappointing they did not want to give AskGamblers the information they wanted.

Whether or not they're actually connected with 1xbit financially or otherwise isn't what I'm trying to say.  Just that they seem to have the same business model and philosophy.

Mainly it's just the way they have handled the few accusations I've seen.  If I just read the accusations and casino response without seeing the name of the Casino, I would've bet it was 1xbit for sure.

If you're seizing players funds on any sort of regular basis, and you're only giving vague explanations if any at all, and your terms are ambiguous, then I can't help but assume that they consider seized winnings a regular source of revenue.  If an honest casino is seizing funds more than once in a blue moon, they will see that as a indicator that they need to make a change somewhere.  That's not how 1xbit or Coinplay sees things.

Regardless, I already changed my avatar & sig, a bit disappointing they did not want to give AskGamblers the information they wanted.

I bet there wasn't actually any more information to give.

Thanks for your extremely nice gesture of pausing the campaign until further notice. That is truly the best I could have expected from you. I appreciate it a lot that you put your moral values and honesty above your financial gains. I hope this move finally wakes Coinplay up and they can resolve the case and then move ahead with a brushed up reputation and better handling of such situations in the future.

So, Coinplay told me nothing except some vague copy/paste of some rules, which still left me guessing. Only now, after reading this post of Royse777 I find out that the reason for the confiscation was "arbitrage betting". Let me tell you all that I am NOT doing arbitrage betting. All I did was deposit Bitcoin and place 7 NBA bets, NOT betting on both sides to create arbitrage. Also not by covering up my bets on other sportsbooks. I simply place my bet and live with the outcome of the game, like any other bettor. I will admit that when I am betting, I have about 5 sportsbooks open at the same time, and whenever I like a certain bet I do a quick lookaround among those 5 and I place the bet at the sportsbook where the odds are the highest at that moment. This is completely normal and fair behaviour and it's the same as buying your bread at the cheapest bakery out of the 2 bakeries which are located next to each other. Nothing cheating or misleading about that, simply common sense. Note that the odd differences are small, for example they can be for a particualar bet: 1,57 with sportsbook A, 1,58 with sportsbook B, 1,60 with sportsbook C, 1,60 with sportsbook D and 1,62 with sportsbook E. And in this case then Coinplay would be sportsbook E. There were also situations where Coinplay was not the highest and just in the middle, and in that case ofcourse I would place the bet with the other sportsbook which was the highest. Those other sportsbooks also didn't come complaining to me that I took their high odds for that particular game, and certainly they didn't confiscate my funds over it.
So yes, by default this means that all bets I placed on Coinplay where slightly higher than others, maybe 2 or 3%.

But let me show you a text which Coinplay has in their "about us" section:

As you can read it says "Coinplay offers its users higher odds than other betting companies for both regular and crypto betting"

So how can you offer higher odds than most others and then when a user bets on these higher odds claim that he is doing arbitrage betting?

If you claim to offer high odds then don't be surprised there can be some value among those odds. If you don't want the risk that players can grab some value among your odds, then simply offer lower odds structurally. You don't even need to change your odds provider for that, you can simply say to them give me all your normal odds and take 5% off from them.

There is a massive difference between "cheating" and simply shopping around for the best odds. I can totally respect it that Coinplay want to protect themselves from real cheating, such as bonus abuse, using of robots or software, or even fixing smaller league sports games. But shopping around for the best odds and placing a bet at maybe 2 or 3% higher odds than market average on a world famous league like NBA, cannot be seen as cheating in my book. If you are confiscating funds for this reason then you are just a scam sportsbook and then it's starting to look like confiscating funds is simply a business model. Normal run sportsbooks do the following when they spot someone as an "odds shopper": simply limit their stakes to zero or 1USD so they know for sure the user cannot bet anymore in the future. And then simply pay out the existing balance. This is how it should be handled in this case too. If you handle it that way as a sportsbook, you will not see any scam accusations against you.

So, Royce777, please take this text and pass it on to Coinplay since you seem to have a good communication channel with them (they have never even responded to one of my emails or PMs) and hopefully they can see their mistake. I personally think Coinplay should just man up and pay me my winnings, but if they truly insist that it is unacceptable what I did, then I am willing to accept a solution where they look up the market average odds for each particular game out of those 7 bets I placed, and pay me out according to those average odds. In that case I would be getting maybe 10 or 15% less than my normal winnings, but I can accept that even though I find it a bit on the childish side if you are a sportsbook priding yourself on offering higher odds than other sportsbooks.

Once again, thanks a lot for your stance Royse777 and I hope to hear an update soon!

Guys this is not a place to discuss about what is going on with the brand. Besides I have no time to engage in long discussions too. I will appreciate if you continue it on the accusation thread.

@GekkeBelg, they are already aware and I left them my suggestions, I don't think it's necessary anymore for me to push them more contents. It's up to them how they will handle their PR but I hope whatever they decide it helps their brand. I have worked with them for 20 long weeks and my experience with them is A++. They never delayed any payment in fact if you check the escrow address you will see - after making the payment for this week, the address still have over $7k worth of BTC.

Whatever happened between you and them is unfortunate (either from your side or their side), as an outsider it's hard for me or infect anyone to conclude the case. You have done well in presenting your arguments. You can not do more than that.

You all can remove the signature and avatar until there are any update about the campaign from me.

It was great time working with you all and thanks to the Coinplay team for your business.
