I have a list of ideas for inventions and tools, can I post it here?

Hi,

BM here, a really nice guy. And quite a super genius.

Every time I get an idea, which is pretty often, I write it down. Can I post my ideas in this thread? I'll go ahead and take a chance and do it. I will try to update this thread soon with my first idea among many.

Idea 1. This is currently what I consider my best idea: a social media platform where anyone can tip their own ERC-20 token to anyone else. Publish0x.com is doing something similar now so you can tip other people for free but the problem is that they don't allow everyone to list their tokens there. I have talked to Igor, the owner about it but he does not seem ready to allow that yet.
Think about it. All the people who are making tokens need to get them distributed somehow. And social media people love posting content and clicking on thumbs up or down or equivalent. Why not make every "like" a token transaction? This could also be the first step toward a global non-tax funded UBI.

How it would work:

Users post content on their timeline as usual. There is a tip button and when another user clicks that button he or she can choose how many xyz tokens will be sent to the OP creator. The tipper can choose from many types of tokens and will also receive a part of the total transaction himself. The tipping pools will be funded by token issuers who want to have their tokens distributed.

Never mind fair distribution as long as everyone can get at least some tokens out of the platform regularly. Use open API's and open source all the backend codebase and let everyone try to exploit or fork the platform as much as they want. The important thing is that the users themselves can moderate the timelines instead of centralized admins doing it for them.

Two other players in this scene: memo.cash - a nice platform and the dev does understand that it's valuable if anyone can tip their own tokens but unfortunately it is based on BCH so not that many users. Steemit, of course but not the brightest dev team. Let's see if the Tron merger will take the platform in this direction but I have no confidence in the Tron team either. So if publish0x.com, Steemit or memo.cash are not doing this rightly then someone else will. And I think this could become a billion dollar market pretty easily.

Idea 2. Decentralized search engine. What is the problem with Google search? The problem is that the search results only reflect the ideology of the Google corporation. All their search algorithms have been adjusted to bring back search results that are in line with the Google/US govt hegemony worldview. Instead, we should be able to choose from a variety of search results based on the interests of the users. Which brings me to another idea: recommendation engines. There is really a deficit of high quality recommendation engines for example for movies, music, but also for RSS feeds and so on.

Idea 3. An audio tool for Pinephone and Android where you can draw your own waves and hear what they sound like.

Idea 4. A Terminal based programming learning tool, similar to Udemy or other online courses but where you do all learning where it should be - not in a browser Terminal emulator but in a real Terminal.

Idea 5. A search engine for Telegram groups. There is currently no good way of finding interesting groups. (By the way Telegram itself could be improved in so many ways but I guess Durov is stuck in Dubai somewhere trying to get out of the SEC mess. Lesson learned: never, ever trust regulators of any nationality).

Stay tuned for more ideas and more details.

If you like my ideas you can send some tips to this address:

BTC:
bc1qvtekh9xsmclda0z2vsh95n6kk4wmula5709w89.

We can also start working on the ideas together, I can add more details and a wider variety of ideas and so on.

BM

FAQ

Why am I doing this?

1. I currently live a bit remotely. That might change soon but I'm not always in a very connected location.

2. I believe in open source and creative commons (CC0). Why not open source the ideas too?

3. I know how many good developers and investors there are at bitcointalk.org. It's actually a valuable community of resources and I have made many connections here.

4. I'm not into programming enough. I do a little bit of programming but I do not want to sit and code all day long every day necessarily. Also to execute all these ideas I would need a hundred hands or maybe a million.

5. Important! I am hoping that some people will tip me or even sponsor me. Maybe pay me to write and come up with ideas. I actually need funds now.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Why would you put your ideas into the world for free? You could make hundreds of thousands of dollars from your idea. E.G your Audio app idea, I once saw an episode on Shark tank where the guy developed an app with some hardware which utilized motion sensors to generate audio that guy got an investment of like $200k if I remember correctly... What I am saying why not keep your ideas private and make money out of them instead of just posting them here? Your DrawyourMusic app seems investable, why not develop it and put it in the market?

...

You're kind of exaggerating here dude. When you go VC hunting and pitching an ideea the minimum requirement is a MVP.
He is just listing his ideas (some good, some bad, some not crypto) in exchange for a tip or a partner with software knowledge (most likely the first option)
OP I wish you all the best and if I can use any or your ideas expect a tip from me Smiley

You might be right  and i think we still need to wait for the OP updated. In response to Thekool1s message, we still don't know if the OP idea is going to be helpful to the crypto community or not cause he hasn't the whole project. Besides, I don't like the idea of him posting his BTC address for the tip while it yet provides depth information about his invention and self moderating this thread.

Well a couple of reasons.

Hope that answers your questions.

Ok guys, the OP has been updated for today and I have answered most of the constructive replies.

Would be interested in feedback on idea number 1 if anyone is thinking the same way here.

Hmm, So your Idea 1 is basically an airdrop website in a nutshell? Users get tokens for doing certain actions but instead of sharing/creating posts about the project on their FB or twitter they post it on your platform, why would anyone want to do that? Plus I don't see how your business will generate those Billions, Either you offer everyone to list their tokens for free or become something like Publish0x where you charge the developers to list their coins... I can't think of any model besides ads which will generate revenue for your business...

Decentralized search engines have already been done, you can find many projects by doing a mere google search...

Your audio app has potential as I said before, however, after doing some googling I found a couple of apps which already do this... https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Kandinsky/ This one is mobile friendly and works on any device... However if you advertise and develop it properly, you can definitely make some money out of it...

I would like to thank you for that, because it may also help me and other crypto community. You're so kind to shared your knowledge to us, if other's? they want to post it in other platform to earned a big profit. I'll hope it may help more people to understand bitcoins and crypto currencies. But there are some information are so exaggerated because the other ideas are not related in crypto. I'll use some of your tips that may related to me. Once again, Thank you very much.

ideas are a dime a dozen, execution is whats important

This man speaks the truth.

Practically every man and his goat can generate ideas off the top of their head—well, maybe not quite that far. But a huge number of people (but not everyone) is capable of simple ideation.

The only ideas that are worth money are those that are built (or at least patented), and vague concepts just don't count.

That is exactly what I meant... They post their usual stuff on your platform and other users have the option to tip them instead of liking/upvoting and this tip comes from token issuers who want their token distributed. I do get your idea but it can be exploited pretty easily and doesn't ensure a fair distribution of the tokens. Fair distribution is a hard problem to solve without KYC... There are certain ways to limit 1 account per person but they all have their shortcomings... I still don't see what value it brings to the table besides being a middle man in airdrops... Anyway, Good luck with it if you decide to pursue it...

This idea about fair distribution might be overthinking it. I remember something Adam Back said about Bitcoin a long time ago. He was trying to solve the problem of Bitcoin being deflationary for a long time, instead of being an early investor, which he regretted later.

This problem doesn't need fixing. As long as everybody gets something it doesn't matter if some people get a lot. Use open API's and open source all the backend codebase and let everyone try to exploit or fork the platform as much as they want. The important thing is that the users themselves can moderate the timelines instead of centralized admins doing it for them.
