BTW, What progress is happening in your country?

In our country, Bitcoin is already legalized and for years I don't see any development to it.

Scams all over the country are not uncommon and to be honest, even common lines of scammers are still effective here. That is the reason why a lot of people do not want to use or even invest in cryptocurrencies.

now the name of cryptocurrency is bad because I see many who have misused cryptocurrency for bad actions so people are also very difficult to accept cryptocurrency anymore, cryptocurrency should be able to have a good reputation so it will be very easy to make the legality of its use and some countries do transactions using cryptocurrency.

In my country, the government is showing no interest for cryptocurrencies which makes the people feel like bitcoins are just a bubble and not actually a source for investment. There were some random news on some official new channels asking people to stay away from investing into digital assets like bitcoins or anything like this. This might always be demotivating several people who would like to start their career with bitcoins but the country does not support them.

Individually, I have tried to educate most of my friends and family members about bitcoins and some have started getting deeper into the field but yet there are some who would only follow what the government says and would stay away from investing into such assets.

I feel very inspired right now. I just came across a video in which there's a Bitcoin ATM in the country! I feel so glad to see how Bitcoin is getting adopted. This proves that after all, our promotion of bitcoin is helping in spreading the news. And we aren't planning to stop the promotion anytime; we're even planning to hold more seminars to help people know about bitcoin. Now, one of the advantages of this Bitcoin ATM is that anyone who doesn't know what Bitcoin is and sees it would ask what the machine is used for, and from there, it just keeps spreading!!! Watch the video here to see how it works. BTW, What progress is happening in your country? If none then try doing more in favour of bitcoin (for countries that find bitcoin legal).
I don't really see it as adoption, it's more like enabling the Nigerians to get some BTC in an easier manner. A little but sweet development for BTC in your country, and I'm happy to know you've now got an option to purchase and sell in a physical way.

It is just the beggining maybe we cannot literally say that it was an adoption, if more and more people become aware about bitcoin they will probably try to buy some of it and maybe share the news with their friends or in social media. In this case we can generate mass adoption and finally if more and more people buy bitcoins to the price of bitcoin will go up.
The information about bitcoin is spreading all around the world as time passes by it is reaching every person who is using social media where almost all of the promotion is being held there since there are actually lots of users in social media as of now. In my country, using cryptocurrency is not illegal nor legal, so we are free to use bitcoin on our own. We can also really convert our own bitcoin into fiat into some online banks who are accepting bitcoin without any taxes to pay.

As for our country, really not sure if there are already Bitcoin ATMs here, but as far as I know, there's none yet. But I know that there are a lot of people already know it because it came a few times on the news, some of the merchants here are accepting bitcoin as payment. Not bad, right? This will be a start of the bitcoin era and this will be a great part of our lives Smiley
For me, bitcoin ATM is not that really relevant because of why we should promote ATMs if we can really access bitcoin using our phones with the internet also. Everywhere you are, you can really access cryptocurrency, maybe they are thinking that it is very convinient when they buy bitcoin with that ATM but it is less hassle when you buy online using your device while you are at home or wherever you are.

hopefully, one day we shall have bitcoin atm also in my country. The adoption of blockchain technology is growing increasingly in my country and Africa at large but I have not heard anybody or see where you can make a withdrawal with the atm bitcoin machine. All we do is to exchange the bitcoin into local currencies through local exchangers and withdraw it through atm or bank transfer. Although other services such as airtime purchase and power bill payment are being done using crypto

That’s really good and from what I can see that’s the only bitcoin ATM in that country. Imagine that people come across it and ask what it is all about and whether it’s the normal ATM and then they are being told its not, but is a bitcoin ATM.

Even those that don’t know about bitcoin would be interested in knowing what it is. It is very good, though that doesn’t show that there is any adoption. The ATM is owned by blockstale, a retailer exchanger for bitcoin in that country. It’s just a way to make their retailing easier but doesn’t mean that it is going to increase the adoption for bitcoin in that country. It’s a really good thing though.

The reputation of bitcoin was ruined because of people who take advantage of the opportunity to deceive and exploit other people's funds. It negatively affects their perspective on bitcoin because they are finally aware how risky it is to invest on a cryptocurrency, especially nowadays that scammers are consistently looking for a chance to trick people who doesn't have enough understanding on securing their funds. People are doubting bitcoins capabilities because of lack of knowledge, they just let the news be a foundation of their decision. We can't literally take that feeling away from people because they are just afraid to lose their funds for nothing. I just hope that despite of that they will still try to see the good on bitcoin because it isn't a problem, the people is. Anyway, the adoption in my country is improving because stores starts on using it as a payment method and people are becoming more aware that a digital currency like bitcoin existed.

I live in Ukraine and BTC was most popular in 2016-2017. Now it's less popular, I don't know the reasons

I think that is because bitcoin price is down deeper now than in that year so people will not invest their money in bitcoin for a while. Maybe many people get stuck at a higher price in that year, so they are regret to buy in that year because they think that the price in that year will still increase higher. I think if bitcoin price can grow at least hit $15k, people will come back to bitcoin and invest their money in bitcoin but I am not sure if in that time will be a good time to invest in bitcoin.

Lol, it is actually the beginning. However, it is adoption. You can't find a bitcoin ATM in a country that isn't adopting bitcoin. I don't know if you're getting my point. Also, this is just the beginning; there's more to happen.

Woah! This is pretty bad. I mean, this is more serious than I was thinking. And with the case that their lines are still effectively remembered there, there will be a very slow rate of adoption. Well, for the first time I don't have an idea to counter an issue.

In my native country since it is democratic , people won a hard fought war against the government , now bitcoins is not legal but the government cannot ban it , for now .
People are very active considering how they are putting up new ICO's online and new platforms are emerging.

The country where am living in right now just made bitcoins legal , this is amazing considering how now people will find projects concerned with bitcoins since they are not that enthusiastic about it I would say.
The majority doesn't even care about Bitcoin but am sure the remaining population is gonna work its way in . Hopefully we soon have some ATM's coming up and conferences here .

I'm so glad that your country has an bitcoin ATM machine that you easily convert your money into bitcoin. Yes, your country is trying to support bitcoin in that way and it's really appreciate to all bitcoin users. Here in the Philippines doesn't have a bitcoin ATM machine just like your country but there's a way to convert our currency into bitcoin by just cash in our currency into stores that supports e-wallet and after that if we want to convert our currency into bitcoin, but before we successfully converted, it added some taxes or a transfer rate fee. So that it is an expensive for us to convert our currency into bitcoin.

I'm glad to hear that there are countries continually being more engaged to Bitcoin now than before. In our country, there are numerous cryptocurrency enthusiats, regardless of age, gender and ethnicity. Through the years, the numbers of Bitcoin users have been multiplied yet, none of these posted major adoption here in the forum such as ATM machines and physical stores accepting cryptocurrency has been witnessed in our country. In my opinion, the legality of cryptocurrency is the main hindrance as to why no one would to dare to let out into action their enthusiasm in making a move to raise awareness and adoption in the community for the reason of being charged for legal grounds.

It's hard to adapt something that is not known especially when you live on a third world country, although we are not poor but the technological advancement here is little in progress, and the cabinet members of our government consists of old people and has a little knowledge about cryptocurrency but there are some huge celebrities here that uses crypto like manny pacquiao and many more, so i think it might take a while for crypto to be recognize here in the philippines and to be adapted by my country.

The same also happened in our country, even if the government is not yet fully open to crypto currencies but still XRP team was able to convince one of our banks to launch a crypto ATM in our country.

As what I heard so far, there are already crypto ATM's that are present in our capital and I am very impressed how crypto currencies are spreading that much. I also got excited about it and I am inspired to earn more profit in crypto currencies from now on by using my skills, knowledge and my effort.

less precise if you say this is adopted but it is more appropriate to accept bitcoin as an alternative payment but not replace the applicable currency and not make transactions using bitcoin.

Great to see that good development in Xrp side since there are more chance for the other top alt's to be listed on crypto ATM machines, but I don't know if there's a crypto ATM available on our country but the good thing is our local cryptowallet provide already accept XRP and BCH for deposits and withdrawal.

Scams all over the country are not uncommon and to be honest, even common lines of scammers are still effective here. That is the reason why a lot of people do not want to use or even invest in cryptocurrencies.
this is the problem if the country who adopted Bitcoin is not ready yet,i mean only the  knowledgeable people will benefit from this like what happening now in your country.

this is also why i think we should not rush Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency to be accepted of legalized, for me?we must let people learn what is this first before the adoptation of each country because only Bad Impression will come each time like this one.

people are not really aware in what can this be?how can affect their life and how can they be a Victim if they have no deeper idea of the uses of Bitcoin and crypto.

I think that average people needs help to understand btc potential and how to use it practically.
I have one very good example in my country.
Many young tourists asked apartment owners if they can pay in btc.
Finally,  one local company developed application which allows tourists to pay in btc,  app echange btc to local currency and apartment owners receive payment for their service  in local currency.
It's good way how to promote btc in public

This might always be demotivating several people who would like to start their career with bitcoins but the country does not support them.
Individually, I have tried to educate most of my friends and family members about bitcoins and some have started getting deeper into the field but yet there are some who would only follow what the government says and would stay away from investing into such assets.
It is true that until now there are still so many country who are not adopting cryptocurrency or bitcoin and their citizens wants to adopt it but their country doesn't like. It would be pretty hard to adopt something that you doesn't have any support from someone.
Let's be honest to everyone that cryptocurrency is really a risk to invest on, but how about those people that wants to risk their money in order to gain more than enough money that they can have? This pretty disgusting if your own country doesn't want that. Lets educate other people in our own way on how we will be adopted bitcoin in our lives and hearts.
