That's how you define how important they are? there is no contrast from the ICO you say. Because during the old days many have thought that ICO were going to last long and with the reward that they were distributing, it's very profitable to most bounty hunters. Good days for them, they collect millions to millions from their sales. Until the day came that many investors have finalized that it's useless to invest on them anymore as it became a haven for scammers, the same might come.

Deflationary is a garbage idea even if that was being combined by the decentralized finance and the result will be the same. It's not a good and profitable bounty and how did you know about that? We have 2 definitions for defi right now.

The big profit will only come for a hyped coin while those defi coins were not getting hyped have already dumped so hard and i have lost almost 90% on some defi coins.
This could  (defi) can be only used for short-term betting.

Interesting that there was two newbies that talked to each other and that was it, obviously a weird topic. At the end of the day, there was an opinion shared so I am not going to get too suspicious about the topic.

However, one thing I am certain about is the fact that DeFi was not intended to be "deflationary" finance, it was decentralized finance, and that is why it is not even that good, because people think even the name is something else and they are expecting something else and now they evolved to another thing.

So, I would say they are just a big hype that doesn't bring much to table and that is why they are not that good at all. I would say best use case for them right now is making the creators rich and the early investors could make some money and that's it.

only if the project experiences a pump from the hype defi, just know that not all defi projects have increased due to Fomo, some have experienced a decline when released on the market.
