Italy has made a bold move in acknowledging Bitcoin and this is also allowing its people to have the opportunity to benefit from it. This movement should be adapted by every country in the world so everyone can be united in the universe in fighting this pandemic disease that we are facing today. Bitcoin has proved that its existence has been a great aid in different point of our lives and I hope people would often see its potential and take its significance as they take the importance of different form of currencies.

I guess the initial was just a test $10000 worth of bitcoin was not that but. And then think they that it might work to get more people to donate in the cause, and what better way to do it but to utilise crypto currency again. I agree that it should be adapted by other countries, but majority are really fighting very hard that's why we haven't seen them readily accepting bitcoin as donations.

That’s good. In my country it’s not like that, the red cross in my country is only accepting MasterCard, Visa, and PayPal. Though that’s not something I’m worried, they can accept whatever they want, I believe that’s a method they are convenient with and it makes things easy for them.

So, a few times that I have donated to them that wasn’t of concern to me, I just donate with my MasterCard card. But it’s good that the organization in Italy is recognizing bitcoin and allowing people to make payment with it. I know for sure that some people who make use of bitcoin will feel motivated to donate, there are lots of people who are looking for this kind of opportunity of using their BTC for good.

If there is a disaster like this, one's social life is questioned.  To provide a little help to those who experience disaster.
But this time almost all countries in the world experienced this disaster, it felt like to help this activity for Italy.
But on the other hand my own country is also in this disaster, so this time I prioritize my country, which is currently experiencing a death rate of up to 8% due to this Corona virus.

Yeah, most of us experienced these kind of situation and have the feelings where we have much priority in our own country.
But I think it is much pretty nice first to appreciate what some entity allowed in Italy where you can give a donation using Bitcoin.
Let's hope it will become also available in our own countries.

Not all countries have the option to donate in their respective Red Cross via crypto. But the good thing here is that they are now recognizing the power of btc transaction in situation like this.  No third party interference. Just send some satoshis to their wallet from your wallet and that's it. I hope there is something like that also in my country where we are also currently lockdown. I guess we are all in lockdown.

With the condition of the economic weakening of the euro against the dollar, it will certainly be a very good impact if Europe can accept bitcoin to combat Covid-19 of course this is also a tool to stabilize the price of the euro against the USD given the pace of the economies of European countries in recent weeks indeed very weak because of the lockdown that occurs, hopefully this is also applied by some countries that have been exposed to corona

In this time of crisis everything any help is welcomed, including Bitcoin donations. Like every bad situation has also the good sides so this corona virus crisis isn't exception. Many people will use more online services and some will also use more cryptocurrencies and accept them better due to this heavy situation for economies and especialy if this will last for a longer period of time. This is a very good thing, there are people who would like to make their donations in Bitcoin and this will give them the chance to do so. I have seen someone ask question once on this forum whether there are any Charity organization that are accepting Bitcoin as means of donation. I didn’t know of any one that was accepting Bitcoin as of then and it was earlier this year that the question was asked in this forum. So, I know that there are others that might be looking for such an opportunity to give what they can afford to give and this is that opportunity.

Italian president have already said that he no longer can control the situation and it is out of hand , with the death toll increasing day by day am really scared for Italy , the Corona virus is showing no symptoms of slowing down , they actually need all the help they can , at the time like this the government has to accept Every means of donations and prayers .
This pandemic that we lightly brushed off in the beginning is now something which is Turning out to be a catastrophe.

Just wanted to share this, the Italian Red Cross is now readily accepting BTC (and altcoins) as donation to fight the corona virus pandemic.

The project has reached the target goal of € 10,000 to purchase the AMP: we did it thank to your generosity!

Italy is really facing the great burden because of the virus. They have even higher deaths compared to other countries. We have to admit the power of Bitcoin in this situation. This project of Red Cross is very much helpful in providing extra care and assistance to the medical field. At this very moment we should be exercising compassion and generosity by way of donating even with a small amount of Bitcoin because it will still matter. Maybe all branches of Red Cross in othe countries could adopt the same thing because it will make a very big difference.

This shows they didnt get ready and unprepared during the rise of covid. There are other countries that implement a strict rule on locked down. From what Ive seen, I think its not the government that has problem here but those people. They are very hard headed.

Now even the usage of crypto is now at their disposal asking help. I think all means of help are now being utilized by Italy to survive this mess. Good thing Italian RedCross are indeed accepting crypto. Sincr they are hopefully many crypto enthusiasts are open up their hearts to this and donate as they accept bitcoin and even altcoin.

I wouldn't say it's because of desperation, yes they've become the ground zero, but we have to understand that Red Cross is a Humanitarian Organisation, so they are committed to protect every Italian citizen and one way to do it is thru our donations
