The Government keeps saying that decision to lift restrictions in different areas will be based on science but in reality, it is based on economy na. If we look at the number of confirmed cases daily based on the public data, hindi naman talaga siya bumababa pero tinuloy pa din ang pag-downgrade dahil na din siguro sa recommendations ng mga Metro Manila Mayors. Hindi talaga sustainable ang ECQ in the long run. The good thing that ECQ brought though is it enabled the Government to build more facilities and increased the testing capacities (mas marami na din recoveries per day).

I know the Government said we cannot afford a second wave pero tingin ko doon pa din pupunta seeing how people flocked the malls in Metro Manila after being downgraded to MECQ from posts on social media.

At least 6 countries reimposed lockdown measures as new coronavirus cases flared up again

I know the Government said we cannot afford a second wave pero tingin ko doon pa din pupunta seeing how people flocked the malls in Metro Manila after being downgraded to MECQ from posts on social media.

This pandemic season nga mga kasama dapat talaga magingat tayo. Kung kayo mga bounty hunters, mga day traders, mga entrepreneurs that uses crypto as modes of payment, we need to reflect that somehow maswerte pa rin tayo kaysa sa karamihan dahil tayo may means to earn a bit by staying at home. So I just leave it here nalang guys na magingat tayong lahat at dapat tatagan lang natin pasasaan bat mawawala rin ito.

Rules for Private Transportation
If you're using your car, note that there should only be two people in each row. We suppose this means the driver's and passenger seat can be occupied at the same time. If you're using a van for transport, be sure to follow this rule.

Companies providing transport for their employees must ensure their shuttles are only at 50% capacity at any given time. Rented shuttles should have a special permit from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.

Folks can also opt to use either bikes, motorcycles or even e-scooters. Do note that e-scooters are subject to existing traffic regulations, according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr). Plus, only one person is allowed on these two-wheeled vehicles.

It is such a dilemma if MECQ is really a good decision or not e. Parang normal day lang dito samin traffic, at siksikan na sa ibang public places, stores at malls and 'yong pinaka-essential practice pa 'yong nakalimutan ng karamihan which is 'yong social distancing. It indicates how indisciplined people were, and it show how important talaga mag-impose ng strict rules.

I am afraid sa magiging outcome nito after few weeks. Would number of positive cases would blowout and babalik nanaman tayo sa mas maraming fatalities than recoveries? ('Wag naman sana but parang doon pupunta if it still continues). I get it naman na 'yong iba need na mag-work pero 'yong na-miss lang lumabas, damn.

Same thoughts sa baka magkaroon ng second wave, kabayan.

If naging katulad lang tayo ni SoKor sa pag-handle nitong suffering na'to wala na siguro dapat pang ikatakot pa sa pag-labas.

Just look how their cases drastically went down. Mass testing, and right there isolation agad, if I am not mistaken may 0 cases report sila for a several days which is somehow a good outcome nung action na ginawa nila on handling this terrifying battle. Businesses are now open and so the jobs walang nang iwo-worry sa economy and for a stomach to feed. If naging SoKor lang talaga tayo. But wala na it is what it is, kung ano man maging consequence siguro nito government is there to clean the mess.

Quote
“Wala nang aral, laro na lang unless I am sure that they are really safe. It’s useless to be talking about the opening of classes.

We will study this carefully, but for now, we think that it’s safe if we will be opening classes by August 24),”

it's weird that I wasn't surprised when I heard and read this article(link below). amidst this crisis people really can't control their greed and have empathy towards the people in need. sana makulong lahat ng mga kasangkot sa SAP corruption para mabawasan namang ang mga kurakot sa pilipinas.

134 barangay officials face criminal charges for SAP-related anomalies

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Monday, May 26, said that 134 barangay officials are now facing criminal raps for social amelioration program (SAP)-related anomalies before the Prosecutor’s Office of the Department of Justice (DOJ). There has been an increase of 320 percent in the number of suspected violators.

Prepare for the worst lalo na kung nasa area na maraming cases. Sana napalakas niyo mga immune system ninyo during the entire lockdown.

According to Dr. Domingo, patients confined as probable or confirmed cases can avail of the benefit packages as follows: PHP 43,997 package for patients with mild pneumonia confined in Level 1 to 3 hospitals;  PHP 143,267 package for those with moderate pneumonia in Level 1 to 3 hospitals; PHP 333,519 package for patients with severe pneumonia confined in Level 2 to 3 hospitals, including ICUs; and P786,384 package for patients with critical pneumonia confined in Level 2 to 3 hospitals, including ICUs.

Kahit sa private or public hospitals?
according to this. yes
These packages cover the rates for a private hospital room, management and monitoring of illness, laboratory, diagnostics and imaging, medicines included in the guidelines and protocol of the DOH, and supplies and equipment, including PPEs.

Has anybody here, especially in places with GCQ, managed to get a travel pass? If so, what did you have to do to get it?

This is the info that i have to acquire a travel pass. You need to have a mayor's certification then health certificate that you are COVID free. You need travel pass if you want to go to another region and better to check also that the region you are going to are already accepting travelers.

You are in Cebu, right? The governor of Cebu said she will lift all the border checkpoints on June 12 and by that time also passenger ships will start their operation. I just read it on the online local newspaper and don't have a link to it.

In the building where I am, a retired police officer got in trouble for collecting the SAP meant to be distributed to the rest of the people in the building, and not distributing it... Maybe they had connections to the local barangay office but I don't know for sure. All I know is some of the people here aren't very happy about it. A lot of other people don't even realize they were due to receive SAP money.

we had a similar problem here in my area. our whole neighbourhood had no Idea(since no barangay official informed us) that the registration for the SAP has been happening at the barangay hall and by the time someone in my neighbourhood got the news that the registration has been happening it was the day before last. a lot of my neighbour that badly needed that cash assistance almost missed it since the barangay decided to withhold the information regarding the SAP registration from our neighbourhood. I just glad that those who badly needed it were able to register.

OK, interesting, thanks. We'll probably just wait around here until then if the ferries remain closed until June 12. It's hard to find exact info about what is correct but I did see a Manila Bulletin article that confirms what you're saying about the borders here re-opening.

In good news, at least they are allowing liquor sales here to resume, thank God. I was getting tired of there only being Emperador and Kula Fu at a higher price... Not really my favorites. I would honestly rather be sober, lol. I had a San Mig Light for the first time in a couple months yesterday and it was delicious.

Hope you all have weathered the covid storm and are doing well. Can't wait for things to finally get back to normal.

Don't they need barangay clearance too?
I went last week at our barangay hall and there is a really long line.
I overheard some people which are trying to get a travel pass. Don't know though if they are on the right place.

Here in Cavite liquor ban is also lifted (June 1) but deliveries of liquors just came now.
Near sari-sari store is now selling Red Horse beer.  Grin I still prefer San Miguel Pale Pilsen but there is no choice.
2 bottles later.  Grin

COVID-19 Vaccine Update:

LONDON, United Kingdom — British pharma giant AstraZeneca is "on track" to begin rolling out up to two billion doses of a coronavirus vaccine in September if ongoing trials prove successful, its chief executive said on Friday.

this confuses me. other pharmaceuticals firms think COVID-19 vaccine will not be ready until 2021 and they still think that having a vaccine ready in 2021 is a long shot. yet AstraZeneca said that if the trials proved to be successful they will be rolling out 2 billion doses of the vaccine by September.

Hoping that it will be rolled out by September and that's really the vaccine we are waiting and it's that effective to fight off the virus because as what I've read on the article it will still be a trial and error.

"Our present assumption is that we will have the data by the end of the summer, by August, so in September we should know whether we have an effective vaccine or not."

But I know we are all that positive when something like this news comes up and I'm praying 🙏 this will be a success, like most of us hoping for.

https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/multimedia/photo/06/07/20/playing-outdoors-as-lockdown-eases
