What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed?

Here in India, some of the casinos are operating illegally (first of all, casinos are banned everywhere in India, except a few rare exceptions such as Goa. So even before the COVID 19 epidemic, they were operating without a license). The cops have raided a couple of such illegal casinos and arrested dozens of people who were indulging in gambling. I guess hardcore gamblers are taking this risky step, as they don't find online gambling exciting enough.

The worst part is that by visiting those illegal casinos during the quarantine they are not only risking their own lives, but also the lives of many others. They might be not killed by the virus themselves, but older people around them have big chances of being the victims. In short, going to illegal casinos is manyfold more irresponsible today than it was previously. If they don't like online gambling, it's fine, they can stop gambling completely, at least for time of the quarantine, but they surely have no excuses for visiting crowded underground casinos these days.

We dont know if there are underground casinos as of this moment who do illegally ran even in todays situation.If there is then its totally dumb
for people who do consider on visiting out those crowded place and into its owners they are just too much greedy and risking  every lives of
those people who visit on there.

People who do visit out in spite of the danger are total fools that cant even control theirselves on not to play gambling.

It is most likely they are getting bored by now or they are probably having room to Gamble online and feel comfortable with. May others will think that they are stopping( I hope they will) but probably they won't. Gambling addicts won't find their comfort zone if they can't gamble and I believe that they have to find a way in order to please themselves as the crisis continue.

^ They won't for sure, not a gambling addict but a person who treat gambling as a daily habit. There are too many ways to find alternate just to gamble even not in a real casinos. We have the same sentiments. Once you are addicted to something, it's hard to change it even if you are willing to change. Now because of the lockdown, gambling addicts were forced to stop gambling and stay at home. They don't even want to stop, yet they are being forced to stop because of the virus spreading. This may trigger their emotions to gamble more because something is stopping them to do what they want. Most addicts will do anything just to get what they want, it means that they will find ways to gamble even inside their houses. They can gamble online. And after this whole quarantine, they will go back to gambling.

There might be physiological affects because everyone is forced to sit at home as no one has experienced that in their life time but if someone gets addicted to gambling because they are forced to sit at home, then they will be addicted even during normal circumstance. If something takes hold of your life because of addiction then you need medical attention.

I doubt your submission, we'll know that, addiction come through by doing a particular thing repeatedly IMO, if this is true, then, there is a possibility of many individuals getting addicted to gambling, most especially those who have been gambling and doing other jobs alongside their hustle. Lockdown here is not friendly mate, the only thing most of my friends are doing right now is engaging themselves on online gambling platforms. This has actually affected some of them because they spend all their time gambling online.

Sad to hear this: their parents called me few days ago to help talk to them on limiting their times spent on online gambling platforms. These are friends who before the lockdown go about their normal hustle but forced to stay at home has changed their ways of doing things (gambling) and this is gradually going to addiction if not check by parent.

I don't know with other countries but here in my place it seems it is the opposite. There are so many gamblers who are hard-time fanatics of their specific gambling hobby that it is either that or nothing at all. I don't know, perhaps it is not really gambling itself that attracts them but more of the game. I have known people who are only playing Mahjong, for example, and not other games. There are also those who are hard fans of cockfighting that even if there is a very strict policy prohibiting gatherings during this time of physical distancing, they're sneaking out and hold matches in the hidden corners of the cemetery or even at the rooftop. They simply cannot take a break from it or enjoy other forms of gambling.

Well that's their only escape, online gambling is the best alternative to contribute also something to the community, staying at home is a big help to everyone, for the virus not to spread any further, to cure this pandemic as fast as possible. I also don't know if playing gambling will cure their boredom but I guess it's fine as long as you have the privilege to do so, but for me, I donated some money to my country men to help those family who can't even have 3 meals a day because of poverty.

That's why restoring the humanity in this moment is very needed. I'm not saying you should also donate some money instead of using it on gambling but I'm just giving you an idea to help, for you guys also to get out of your room, because the many people donating help, the easier we could defeat this disease.
