COVID-19 affects so much in different countries, it is really dangerous virus to the point that it affects so many people lives, businesses, etc. and the government decided to implement community quarantine to prevent the risk of spreading the virus but still, many people are still going outside to do their stuffs which results to add more infected person.
Actually one of the reason why this virus can't stop is because of those people who don't care about the virus, those person who don't care about the rules of the government. It made me realize, does COVID-19 is the real dangerous or the people?
With that, the government decided to have total lockdown just to kill this virus, this lockdown is really hard for those poor people, it would be hard for them to survive for that total lockdown because not all people would be given a support by the government.
Well its clear the virus exploits two human weaknesses: The need to socialize, and the urge to disobey authority.
It is true that if people voluntarily remained at home two weeks, and then another two weeks, the situation would be over (in exactly a single month). But, humans are humans, and the virus thrives...
Some countries with an iron fist government, such as China or North Korea, successfully contained or completely prevented the virus. While in others the virus have gone out of control, afraid to take the same measures (despite their emergency powers allowing them to do so) fearing.. whatever possible repercussion (economic? popularity?) without giving the due attention this required.
Ironically, it is Europe and the United States of America who had become Super Spreader, this in turn infects poor countries who really have no means to handle their own problems, let alone an imported virus.
I guess people never paid attention to the warnings about a biological disaster. You can bet terrorists are taking notes...
I have said so before: Your freedoms are suspended the moment emergency powers are used, yes including property. When the situation is over, you can take your time suing the gov, but while this is happening, you just shut up and obey period. STAY HOME. People should be doing this voluntarily BEFORE waiting for their inept politicians to tell them to, like i warned people here in February when it was evident Mr Trump (and European leaders) were too busy to order the measures that should have been taken BEFORE the virus even left Wuhan. Then after a month everything would have been over.
Oh but no, "muh freedoms", there they go...
This virus is horrible. Yes, some people won't even feel a thing, but some people can't breath until they die, many of them could be saved in ICU with a ventilator, but there are simply not enough for so many patients at once. The first death in my country occurred simply because no such a thing as a ventilator even exists in the region where he lived (there are almost no ventilators in this country after so many years of gov negligence). Which is why, prevention is our only and last hope.
Many spend at least two weeks in bed with headache and fever (from lack of oxygen, probably like altitude sickness) and no energy even to drink water (which they desperately need) and much less eat. I'm taking this report from a 32 year old model who go it in New York and brought it to Florida in March 10, and was taken to a hospital 12 days later, but was finally released having endured the painful nearly death condition, still recovering with coughs at home. She is from my country, if she was still living here, there would be no hospital, or no ventilator but you don't understand this.
You laughed off the virus, and now the virus is laughing back at you. America has claimed the first spot as the country with the most cases worldwide.
