My prediction is we will see a swing from the large operation to the smaller ones in time and again factors such as price weigh heavy into this prediction.

I really also want's to see this again, since i bought my first S1  Cry   ... The problem is, i think. How many Trillion $ can BTC handle without the big farms, securely Huh   ... no way to find a "middle way" i think. On top of this, there's just a "new Chinese pool" arrived after the halving with 7 EH :   Lubian.com   ... just another one of the Chinese mining Cartel, that's holds much more then 50% of Bitcoin Hashrate ...   Huh

Any ways out to get Bitcoin finally in the hands of the majority of World population??? ... I didn't found one myself, only earned mistrust in trying to help the people i like most, to get to a financiall state where they can decide by there own what to do, ... next.

However, Yes!!! Let's loose 50 or 80 EH of Chinese Hashrate and see if Bitcoin can survive  Cheesy   !!! ...

Lubian has been around for some time now, ~ 1-2 years.

Ok??? I've never seen this name before the halving. At least not at https://btc.com. But, when i look at the stats, it says it has 159 blocks in the last 6 month, so, maybe i'm blind  Wink. By the way nothing against China! But "Hash Monsters" started to scare me, a while ago.  Wink

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

This pool was cooing up as "unknown" for sometime.
I guess they finally graduated.

I feel a little bit ashamed that i'm not also pay 0.01 right know for the server. But i will do so, as soon as possible  Wink

Thanks for showing support, by the way, 0.01 BTC is not the minimum amount for donations, people should send what they can afford, 1$ 10$ anything they are willing to contribute with and if someone is worried about the network fees, put 1-2 sats per byte and let the order sit there for days, no rush, we did cover the first 6 months for the server, I believe we should also pay the extra 6 months and CK got once funds reach the threshold again, with that being said even those who can't or don't want to donate can still use the pool, don't be ashamed, mine on.

New pool is currently in testing. There are quite a few code and bitcoind updates
If someone has some spare bandwidth and would like to see what it feels like to solve blocks, please do some testnet mining. This is not guaranteed to stay up so please keep an eye on this thread.

Please mine to newsolo.ckpool.org:3334
Use a testnet bitcoin address as your username; if you don't have one, please use tb1q7zc4hw8g7j3gnap5yca5gfchmp386v7amx9fpe

Current testnet diff is only 1 million, so it won't take much to solve a block.
You can monitor solved blocks here:
https://tbtc.bitaps.com/

Blocks solved will show testsolo/ckpool in their coinbase.

Tried it with nicehash but they want a minimum diff of 500k and the test pool starts with 10k.

edit: waiting for some coin to reach nh so in the above I meant their pool verificator, will test with a real order when the coin is credited.

Thanks, but try port 4444 in that case which is a high diff port on the test pool.

Ah, just like the 'old' pool then. should have tried that  Cheesy

Nicehash isn't crediting my deposited coin (normally after 3 confirmations and it has 7 now) so no mining from me yet but I saw that a block was found by someone else.

SURPRISE
You've all been transparently migrated to the new server without any interruption to your mining thanks to the magic of cgminer and ckpool's inbuilt redirection support.

All statistics have been carried over to the new server. No change to any configuration is required by any miners. This server is massively overqualified for the task now and has extremely fast block changes, propagation, and bandwidth.

In addition, as per the last pool, it supports both IPV4 and IPV6.

As noted on the new pool home page though:
Code:
Note that solo.ckpool.org supports both IPV4 and IPV6 transparently.
You may wish to find which is lower latency for you and specify one or the other directly.
IPV4 is solo4.ckpool.org
IPV6 is solo6.ckpool.org

Mine on, and let those blocks fall!

I've taken the testnet pool down. No need to run anything at all on the server that's not needed so that it's a lean mean block finding machine.

I have no idea if the hashrate is being routed from same place as the nicehash domain, but pinging nicehash.com from the server I get nice low latencies, but IPV4 seems to be faster.

Code:
ping -4 nicehash.com
PING nicehash.com (104.17.254.46) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 104.17.254.46 (104.17.254.46): icmp_seq=1 ttl=57 time=1.40 ms
64 bytes from 104.17.254.46 (104.17.254.46): icmp_seq=2 ttl=57 time=1.53 ms
64 bytes from 104.17.254.46 (104.17.254.46): icmp_seq=3 ttl=57 time=1.44 ms
64 bytes from 104.17.254.46 (104.17.254.46): icmp_seq=4 ttl=57 time=1.42 ms
64 bytes from 104.17.254.46 (104.17.254.46): icmp_seq=5 ttl=57 time=1.52 ms

Code:
ping -6 nicehash.com
PING nicehash.com(2606:4700::6811:ff2e (2606:4700::6811:ff2e)) 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 2606:4700::6811:ff2e (2606:4700::6811:ff2e): icmp_seq=1 ttl=56 time=19.6 ms
64 bytes from 2606:4700::6811:ff2e (2606:4700::6811:ff2e): icmp_seq=2 ttl=56 time=19.7 ms
64 bytes from 2606:4700::6811:ff2e (2606:4700::6811:ff2e): icmp_seq=3 ttl=56 time=19.5 ms
64 bytes from 2606:4700::6811:ff2e (2606:4700::6811:ff2e): icmp_seq=4 ttl=56 time=19.5 ms

Nicehash seems to be in the same datacentre! But anyway the lesson here is if you're renting hash from nicehash, I suggest you use solo4.ckpool.org:4334

Amazing! great work CK and great work to the community showing Con the support.

CK could you ping MRR to see what the ping is like from there I'm more of a MRR fan than Nicehash would be interesting to know where there ping to the server.

Mine on everyone! Good Luck!
