If he had stopped communication and disappeared I may agree with you, but he kept communicating the whole time.

He's still in debt to DireWolfM14 who was willing to help him out and take on the wait time instead of Irfan.

I think this is a bit harsh.  It's your tag, your choice, but since irfan_pak10 removed his tag, I don't see why anyone else would leave their's.  And it's not like elmanchez ran off, he was in communication with irfan_pak10, just requesting an extension that wasn't granted.

This seems to me like you were asking DT members to tag elmachez preemptively.  Which I think is also harsh, but whatever.  That's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it.

Just want to correct this, elmanchez doesn't owe me anything.  I offered to help him out this morning, but he refused because he had money coming in.  He then asked me to provide him an escrow account to hold on to his earnings, and to pay back irfan_pak10.  As a matter of fact, I owe him.  I have ~0.03 of elmanchez's bitcoin in my possession at the moment.

Don't do that.  Make up your own opinion and leave tags the way you see fit.  As I see it, this wasn't about a loan default, this was about the borrower wanting an extension, and lender refusing.  I personally don't see any reason for a red-tag in this scenario.

I mentioned above that this morning I offered to help him out.  The offer was to lend him 0.01BTC, but he refused.

I reviewed my rating and changed it to neutral after reading DireWolf's post yesterday and changed it. It is hard to come by users who are willing to pay and are good in communication with the lender despite paying nothing against the loan and requesting for extensions. Most of the guys would run away here but he didn't. There are too much plus points here with elmanchez (as I think) and hence I think we should be a bit relaxed in this case.

However @khaled0111 also has a good point that he should not run away with it but I think negative is a bit harsh. Point of negative feedback is when a lender gets scammed but he didn't, instead he was late. Being late should be highlighted as "neutral" IMO and not "negative" as :- "he didn't scammed, he was late".

I don't even think that it is legit to damage elmanchez further trades with not only red but those alarming neutrals too. As DireWolfM14 said in the faith of the current pandemic and economic instability everywhere it's wise to expect a delay even from an honest and faithful person. Although there are no such previous experiences of high risk with the user.

From what I read, elmanchez said he was working on repaying before this topic was opened. The red tag was meant as a warning so that others wouldn't give another loan before this gets resolved, and the tags have served their purpose.

If red tags can't be removed after users do the right thing, I think it becomes more likely users just abandon their account at the first tag. Mistakes were made, mistakes were fixed, so I suggest to turn your negative into neutral.

I couldn't agree more! Good people with good intentions can also have their life/income turned upside down out of the blue nowadays.

These are tough times for all of us and anyone may find himself unable to repay a loan in time for one reason or another.
I appreciate that elmanchez repayed his loan after all. Hence, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

After this, he asked me a few more days, and I waited for 3 April, and meanwhile, I gave him warnings. It means we were in the continuous discussion he used to ping me at telegram. At the end of 3 April, I decided to red tag him asked other DT members just to prevent other members if in any case if he asks for another loan. We both agreed with a red label, As I told him at telegram that I'm going to red tag you until you repay, and he said sure, and he also posted in my lending thread that he is ok with a red tag. I know he is going through difficult times, and life is tough on him, and also I'm obligated to let people know about him to prevent further suspicious activity. This is all about I'm obligated to do it, nothing to do with elmanchez. As I mentioned before, I knew he was going to pay. That's it.

So, After reading the history I think elmanchez has not any motive to not pay the loan. For that, he was continuously contacted with irfanpk. Actually we are all human and all of us face some problems in real life. And I think elmanchez was also passing hard time in real life.

BTW irfanpk believed that the guy will pay him soon or later. And this thread was a warning so that elmanchez start to more care of the loan and repay it soon. Since it all resolved and now all should remove/change their feedback even DT/Non-DT. And elmanchez should have repaid the loan in the first extended time.

I know elmanchez for arround 1 month, maybe 2. He is definetly a nice and cool guy and had some serious problems, he was good and got over them. Even the neutral feedbacks should be in place, he was most of the time here, active saying that he is late, speaking of his circumstances (being able to login only from a phone), he did an extraordinary effort to pay it. I also helped him with some small bucks at a moment and I am sure he will be able to build back and start having the life normal.

There is no reason even for benefit of the doubt, he was active, he said he is going to be late as things happen. I saw arround 5 years members defaulting and dissapearing over 50 bucks. This guy that's relative new here was online and repaid those ~160$.

That neutral trust is not welcomed and it shouldn't be there from the first place. It demages a lot in his maybe future deals through the forum.
