There's no point: clicking "
bump" has much more bumping power, and there's no public record of those. For example: see
Announcements (Altcoins), and guess which thread I just bumped
I've also done some small experiments with bumps, by bumping a certain altcoin thread that I used to follow and have some coins left. It dropped about 99% in value from the peak, but shortly after my superbump it went times 4 in value. I didn't sell, and it's down again. I can't know for sure if my bump had anything to do with it, but it could happen on a small coin.
Yes and no. Getting some thread to the 1st page by hitting bump is good. Having long term legendary high merit members with bumping power post in your thread is better.
If my favorite alt coin all of a sudden get to the 1st page it's nice. If you and I start having a discussion in the thread it's better.
Btw, i haven't seen so many complaints regarding the new bumping rules, old style bumping services are still available and getting new clients quite often eben they are not doing anything except to generate fake volume. Strange...
At a guess most people don't know about or understand the way the new bumping works. The people providing the service don't care because they are getting paid to do what they do. Kind of like "SEO" people who tell you they can get you 10 million hits for $1000 and then go and buy 10 million hits of shit traffic for $199 and keep the rest.
