Some exchanges listed there as top may have never been hacked yet but you can never use any of them confidently. They probably upgrade their security every now and then but they remain as a target for hackers. They are all centralized exchanges and they are like sitting ducks waiting to be shot.


Everyone should check out decentralized exchanges or P2P trading platforms.

Even decentralized exchanges or P2P have also been breached, Hacker Exploits Flaw in Decentralized Bitcoin Exchange Bisq to Steal $250K.

So it lead us to think that no one is really safe, no security features are good because hackers are simply one step of the game. As far as best exchanges, regardless if it is DEX or CEX, we just need to be careful and practice sound security measures like not putting all your eggs in one basket, specially in exchanges.

For those listed on it, I would personally say that Binance should be on top of my list, no hassle in so far as trading experience. Changelly as well, I used them before and so it OKex for about a month and CEX.io when I try to purchase bitcoin through credit card in 2018.

But I guess everyone here could have different user experience, maybe good on my end might be awful on other people. So I would say that we should experience a little and see what exchanges are going to be good on us and not just rely on reviews.

In my opinion all exchanges are good till they fulfill your requirements. I do not label any exchange depending on the security of volume. For me my local exchanges are far much better than all the listed names here.

But some time I do not need to trade on one of these exchanges as some local exchange might not have the cryptocurrency I need to trade.

So for trading purpose any exchange is good as long as it serves your purpose.

Agree, the Coinbase is only for US citizens, which most of the other country people cannot use its services. Penance is one of the best exchanges and it was hacked previously, but managed to refund the people who were in that attack, previously there are some exchanges hacked which they have not cleared the lost money to their customers.

Yeah coinbase will providing all of services for the specific region, a lot of north american countries got advantages buy/sell/convert. But mostly can use for keep store coinbase listed altcoins. Even they can use debit card as a payment method. Is the Penance are local stock exchange? I see the major exchange binance given refunded when it’s hacked. But it’s never possible to manage for the overall centralized exchanges.

It is not easy to say which is the best crypto exchange because we will have a different exchange that we used to trade. But we might agree to say that Binance is the biggest crypto exchange so far, and many of us used Binance to trade and make a profit. And Binance also provides a free KYC for their members who don't want to send their documents, but their account will get a limit for withdrawal. I think that will not be a problem for people who are trying to make a profit because they can still withdraw the profit every day.

I sue global exchange market for trading and selling my coin reward from bounty campaign and use my local exchange only for cashing out my coin to be cash money, always trade with global exchange market like bittrex, binance and gate io, some time with some exchange market depend which one my coin listed.

I agree, Binance is my #1 too because it offers the lowest trading fees and huge number of altcoins, futures and margin trading, the best liquidity, no KYC needed to withdraw up to 2 btc. I hope Binance will hold the leading status in crypto exchanges in future.

Binance is keeping their platform on the trend and almost of crypto holders prefer Binance in the top of their list. Binance continue to provide a no hassle and easy transaction to its users. I also use binance for long time since it's launch and other crypto exchange in the list is Kucoin and Bittrex. I think there will be more features will be give to its users to their upcoming updates since binance already acquired CMC.

Maybe the user who listed those is interested more in coinbase than other exchanges. Maybe the user is using coinbase from the start in the crypto world. If Im choosing one I will pick the one and only BINANCE exchange I know and we know that since this exchange site operate many traders transfer or move to this.  But they still a lot of good exchange right now in our market but binance is very unique to them so thats why it is most recommended by the trader. Are there any specialized P2P trading platforms available for crypto to crypto trading? They one platform for exchanging altcoins for another altcoin or for bitcoin is this forum still we must engage a trusted person for escrowing. For fiat based P2P transactions, localbitcoins and paxful are known for years. Please link me if you are already doing in any P2P trading platform where crypto to crypto trading is possible.

Among your list, i must say i prefer Binance exchange reason being it's the best and the most trusted exchange in the whole cryptocurrency market. When talking about best exchanges, people always talk down binance because of the hack that happened. Left to me, i'd say security breach is prevalent among cryptocurrency exchanges and i think that is the aspect every exchanges have to work towards inorder to leave no loopholes for hackers to prey on. When it comes to volume, liquidity, and intuitive features, i have to give it to binance. Although there are other great exchanges and your list comprises most of them

Currently the binance is the top crypto currency exchange. You can trade in binance. Because there is good liquidity in binance, you can easily sell and buy big amounts. But no exchange is safe. The exchange will only be used for trading. Never hold your fund on the exchange. Exchange owner can do any kind of drama at any time. So it's good to be careful.

I agree with you. Agree is currently one of the best (if not the best) exchanges for altcoin trading. It features plenty of liquidity and they've been around for a while now. Although a lot of people might feel otherwise but it doesn't change tjat fact. When Binance was hacked, they compensated users from their funds. I mean – nobody literally lost during the hack. Since then, I'm sure they've beefed up security. That aside, centralized exchange should mainly be used for trading purposes and not storing funds.  How to increase security?

1. Activate both SMS and Google Auth.
2. Don't use APIs (even though it's safe to use).

It's not just about security here. Many more problems are faced by different traders. Many times there are various problems in the account, which can be solved without much hassle. Honestly, when the whole system gets hacked, the security of your account will not keep your funds safe. The binance has returned the customer's funds, which is a good thing. While I won't argue the fact that Binance is hack proof, I think it's safe to say that no exchange's security is 100% hack-proof. We also can't deny that some exchanges are more easier to hack compared to others. Keeping funds in centralized exchanges  has always been frowned upon in the crypto community.  Also, a lot can go wrong even if one just uses Binance for just trading and their own wallet for storage with private keys.

I've got Bittrex and Kucoin before but Binance has been in the existence and competing against the others which seems to be on the top now. Thought about the OP's list are good exchanges, though we can hear some complaints and I think it was a normal thing to happen in all exchanges. We are not in perfection and even the mistakes of the other person could be blamed directly to the team. But anyway, it all been of different judgment, some say this one is good but some say also this is best. We can draw any conclusion if we don't try to use them.

I don't think which will hack the Binance market The Binance market is hacked but its recovery is feasible Like other markets not everything will end directly the simplest crypto exchange I even have is Binance. thus far I even have heard of any hack being reported.

Yes, The Binance exchange very simple to understand and through the Binance our investment will be safe because they will provide lots of security measures to user accounts, even though there is hack they will return the investors' funds because Binance will always save the reserve funds in order to help their customers when there is any hack to the Binance exchange.

I daytraded before in Binance, and it is kinda nice to start with that exchange although there are limitations to 1 BTC per day to withdraw if you didn't submit KYC documents.
I ain't a big trader so I don't think I would need that anyway. I used Coinbase before and I wasn't able to buy Bitcoin that day because first I don't have any credit card and second it wasn't yet supporting our country but from the feedbacks of it, it seems a good exchange to buy BTC.
