 I am from Europe and just know about the stimulus Checks out of the Media. I would like to buy one as a collectible piece of monetary history.
How would I go about?

* Can you keep the physical check after redeeming?
* If that's not the case - how long are they valid?
* Can they be verified somehow?

I want Donalds Sharpie Signature.

That is a funny idea.

If you are physically depositing the check to the bank, then no, you can't keep it. But I know some banks have apps where you take a picture of it with your phone and send it to the bank, and they deposit it electronically. It would still require whoever to write their signature on it, and would have their name, and possibly address... Don't know about the whole verification thing. You also have to take into account that many Americans have direct deposit so they won't ever get the check. Good luck!

I also agree, I think these checks will be a collectible item in the future. I got mine via direct deposit so I don't get a physical one

Afaik it contains too much private information. I'm not convinced that the idea is feasible. Good luck though and let us know if you manage to acquire one

I am much to European to understand the whole check thing... we don't use them since the 80s.

Is the name of the beneficiary on it? Is there no way for me as a buyer to check if it has been cashed? Can it only be cashed by the person mentioned on the check?
Could somebody sell me the check, then cash it?

This whole check thing seams so very broken for so many years that I just can't wrap my head around it.

Basically and if possible I would like to buy "the real deal", meaning an uncashed check - what maybe could turn into the first stepstone of the crash of the dollar...

Will it look like that? Will it also be valid for a year? Guess there is no way of telling if it has been cashed after a year?

I dont think anyone has got the physical checks yet. If I'm not mistaken, two days ago was the first batch of payments and that was only to people who had direct deposit setup (money sent directly to bank, no mailed physical check).

So apparently Trump insisted that he have his name on the checks ( which ticked a lot of people off because it'll like hold checks up a few more days/weeks ).  I don't believe there will be any picture of him on it.

Apparently there are letters that DT is sending out with his facsimile signature on it even if you did the direct deposit so that might be something you want to collect instead/in addition.

i saw some guy on reddit post his letter. the letter explained his check was for four (4) dollars.

I don't really know to be honest - there are many unknowns for me...

Is the name of the beneficiary on it? Is there no way for me as a buyer to check if it has been cashed? Can it only be cashed by the person mentioned on the check? Could somebody sell me the check, then cash it? Will it void?

Unless its different than any other check, it will have the beneficiaries name on it. To cash it, you'll have to sign the back of it and write other details on it, "for deposit only account # signature" and I suppose with electronic check cashing it might be possible to cash it after selling it. And yes, all checks void after a certain amount of time.

I'd guess your best bet would be to buy one thats already been cashed so you don't have to worry about the other details.

That makes it much less rare... assuming most people will cash it electronically. Would still like a cashed one - make me offers
