Coinmarketcap or Coingecko?

I am using Tokenncoin. It is much way better than these 2. Tokenncoin is an all-in-one platform that ranks and analyzes all the blockchain-based coins and tokens in the crypto market. Tokenncoin caters to all the research demands of investors, traders, and crypto holders.

 

Tokencoin is nothing more than a clone of coin marketcap, exchanging with fake volume into top exchange there is the same as CMC. So I think Coingecko is better.

respect the opinions of others, it's up to him to use Tokencoin or Coinmarketcap, I think be it Tokencoin, COinmarketcap or Coingecko is very helpful to compare prices with each other

I feel there is not a reason to compare 2 wonderful services.

Coinmarketcap is exceptional and excellent in price and volume reports of crypto currency tokens, while coingecko is an able deputy.

As long as they provide an accurate information, they'll be helpful. Big and small site they are needed so will not be able to focus in one site only, more sources the better, it gives us a wider view of the market status or the status of a certain coin/s we like to check.

it's not just a matter of accuracy, but I also often seek information about tokens that are relevant to the market. in fact, if we take advantage of both sites, then both sites will be very good. so far, both of these sites have been very useful to me.

Whereas on Coingecko P2PB2B is ranked 114, Does coingecko know if it's bullshit exchange? so it's not in the top 3 like in coin marketcap

I believe that we need to give some more time in order to make sure how the Binance will affect the coin market.  if so far there have been certain comments regarding the provision of incorrect information, including an increase in trading volumes for certain resources, then I have a hope that these problems will disappear.  but nevertheless, I used coinmarketcap as before, and I continue to do so until now.  And I turn to coingecko services only if some cryptocurrencies are not listed in coinmarketcap.

I basically use Coinmarketcap most of the time to find out details about any coin. After that, I don't know why I prefer more to use Coinmarketcap. As far as I know, both are quite similar in terms of informations.

Neither platform seems to care too much about cryptocurrency exchanges faking their trading volume to get to the top of the rankings.

And they also don't seem to care about altcoins that have been pumped to the high heavens to appear on the market cap ranks.

They should only consider volume from the top 3 exchanges for these rankings, anything else is just noise.

I only use data from Messari Pro instead, since it doesn't have these flaws.

of course i choose coinmarketcap for my analisys volume and trading some coin i trade.
i don't really know about coingecko but some my fried said if on coingecko is fully of scam token and fake of volume trade.
because of that i don't bealive in coingecko. that why coinmarketcap is be the best of this choose.

it could be that coin marketcap has another way of monitoring prices that occur. so the point is we can judge which is the right thing for us to make a reference to see price developments. especially between coinmarketcap and Coingecko only as a forum for us to see the price of coins only.

Honestly, they are not really all that different to me. Coinmarketcap is a lot older and has a lot better website, the UI and the likes are all perfect, the coding and the design is far better. Coingekko on the other hand shows the numbers a lot better, it is easy to show the price of a coin that is given and simple, the volume however is the hard part and coingekko works on that a lot more, they are trying very hard to stop with the fake volume thing and show the real one, they are probably not 100% there yet but they are definitely better than coinmarketcap.

It means both place has their shortcomings and their positives as well, whatever you pick, as long as you do not use it for something serious, you would still get the info you are looking for.

To me either, the prices are not that far from what they've posting on their trackers. As long as they are providing the information that we need, it's all good.
Some coins are not on coinmarketcap which you can find on coingecko and vice versa.

I am afraid if Coinmarketcap will stay independent after Binance bought it. Because why would Binance paid hundreds of millions of dollars for something that will not bring them any advantage?

firstly, i use both for finding info about coin and exchange. but, as we all know, CMC now is acquired by binance. just be careful for exchange that use fake volume, they are working on it right now!

if there are other options I will choose it, but if there are two options coingecko still so consider because usually for new coins will usually always appear in coingecko and because of this I chose it and also coinmarketcap is very strange despite rumors said that binance has bought this site but still some exchange that indicated fake volume is still in the top 10 rank

It takes time to clean it up and with readers demands it will surely be cleaned up by new holders, coinmarket have this behaviors but with binance management reputation will be on the way to work it out with people who are using this site, in other other side, coingecko receive the credit since they've list new coins and provide information much earlier.

As of now, we need to wait what's gonna be changing on CMC under Binance management. But one thing I noticed, one inactive alt which had some figures before is now showing "Untracked Listing". Maybe they are now categorizing those alts without active trading or needs to be updated as "Untracked Listing"? They are slowly cleaning the mess.

I observed that in Ethbits coin it’s dead coin, and delisted of a several exchanges now trading is still live on through forkdelta. Those coins are getting delisted on cex exchanges CMC mentioned untracked listing. It’s happened by cmc management before binance partnership i think. There're no trading history in thousands of coins instead of 2500+ coins, Binance should be filters in coming day's.

In my opinion they are equal in term of accuracy, more or less they probably have the same source of data for their site and maybe with minor differences. I'd say that using each of them is basically the same thing, even if the data is not really accurate, it won't off that far and still useful data.

Maybe one of the reasons why Binance bought coinmarketcap is to advertise their upcomming ieo’s? It is known that binance charge a lot for running ieo and they earn a lot from trading during ieo. And now they could earn more because their services will be more demanded.

For now coingecko rating is more trusted but since many know about coinmarketcap they go with CMC rating, even new project developers use coinmarketcap rating to choose exchanges, I hope coinmarketcap will fix things in near future, they are more popular than coingecko

indeed coinmarketcap has very high popularity and many traders who rely on coinmarketcap to find information about a coin but you should know that the efforts of coingecko are also very good because coingecko can overtake coinmarketcap which currently provides many valid information such as coinmarketcap.
