This is a problem that must be found a solution, so that Bitcoin can really be used by everyone. I am sure that there are more and more Bitcoin users and many countries have accepted Bitcoin. There will definitely be a tool that can help blind people make Bitcoin transactions without the help of other people. But now the best solution for blind people is with the help from normal people around them.

maybe there will be obstacles if it is done by a blind person because they need help by a normal person where it can be ascertained that the confidentiality that should only be for him personally but eventually is known by the helpers. will the person not cheat later? although it may be the family itself because when it is called money it is difficult to understand and explain there is always a conflict of interest.

For me the idea is good, but it would be definitely difficult. Maybe they just need someone really close to them to guide them, a trusted person those who will not take advantage of them. As long as the person is willing to learn and can accept the risk of anything could happen, he can do it. And because of our new technology today that's why it will not be impossible to happen that kind of adoption.

I've been into Bitcoin for quite a few years, and I'm impressed to see how far it has reached in the mainstream world. It's the most widely-adopted cryptocurrency for decentralized payments worldwide without the need for a middleman. In its current state, Bitcoin works wonders for ordinary people like you and me. It's only a matter of putting the right BTC address and the number of coins to send to get started using the Bitcoin blockchain. However, my concern is how blind people are able to get used to Bitcoin? To my knowledge, wallets (either with a GUI or CLI) don't have "text-to-speech" features to make blind people's lives easier. It'd be great if developers keep blind people in mind to help increase the adoption of the pioneer cryptocurrency in the mainstream world. The only thing I've found is an audiobook of the Bitcoin whitepaper which is a great solution to introduce blind people into the "mechanics" of Bitcoin. Any thoughts? That's actually a good point. I never considered a blind person owning such wallet because I assume that they will have an administrator for their property or investments. Well, having an administrator always has the risk of committing fraud so investing a wallet that caters to such disability will be definitely helpful. If they were to add a text-to-speech feature to a wallet, hopefully they also add extra security so not all people can have access or hear it as that would be very counterproductive their end.

This is an absolutely excellent idea. I however think it will take some time for such life changing idea to be adopted if at all implemented. This is because the focus is still channeled towards making even the able bodied, I mean those that are not blind, adopt bitcoin. It's an excellent idea but I do not think now is the time for it. A lot of measures have to be put in place for this to work. There have to be extra security measures for the wallet of the blind people in order to avoid theft by those who hear them when they use the text-to-speech feature

That was certainly a great idea and that was pretty impressive to think if that would be possible to make happen to find ways on how blind people could be able to make use of crypto currency like Bitcoin on their daily life basis. The idea was really kind of advance and futuristic to take concern on how every individual can do access the usage and adaptability of using crypto currency which includes the blind people having disability which adds more complexity for we ordinary people are having mistakes on doing transactions for one mistake in address could lead to sending to another wallet so how about them lacking of capacity to see what they would be doing. I think it is really very challenging in nature and for the developers to create a blind friendly feature that can help blind people to make use of Bitcoin. It is a futuristic thought that might be very difficult to execute and would take a lot of time. Inch by inch anything is being made possible by the modern technology, let us just see if this idea would be possible to make happen in the near future that there would be a feature suitable for blind people to make use of Bitcoin.

Yes, that's right. It may be very difficult for them to use and also manage access to Bitcoin. Moreover, there will be some difficulties in: 1. Creating the BTC wallet, including storing the wallet address, private keys, and other personal crucial data. 2. Accessing the Bitcoin wallet will make it a way for trading or something else. 3. Managing their assets in wallets or exchanges. So far, I also never know such information that supports the difficulties of them. If they intended that the other people will help them, I think that it is also too risky because it includes very basic personal data. But because of this weakness, probably only a few blind people that come to the crypto world. Except that they have other people who are very trusted like their family and help them to use BTC.

Well, the interest to have bitcoin is not limited even to the blind or whatever disability that one has can't stop the interest to have bitcoin.
However, people with disabilities had different priorities or needs and that will depend on their interest of things that could make them living a good life. These type of people should be given chances to make things comfortable for them especially if they themselves are doing for their own and not being dependent to anyone.
I have seen person with disability at the same time a bread winner. Shame on those who scam and did not make their own living as like what these disabled person do. People who are scam are worst than disabled person.

There's a lot but having Bitcoin is totally different, not even those people who have no disability can perform well and understand it, how much more to a blind person? What is the sense of having Bitcoin if they can't even use it for their own? I'd never think about reality when it comes to this situation. It is sorry but they are less fortunate and not have time for this than enjoying their life what they feel. We don't need to give them stress thinking about investment or anything, this is not at their comfort. And this Bitcoin is only for ordinary people who can clearly understand this, not for them.

Like with most things in live, businesses will first develop software for the biggest target market and then when the market gets saturated, they would start adapting the product to offer special features for the disabled. The technology is still very new, so it will not cater for all the needs, but as time goes on, people will see where the additional needs are and they will create plugins for these wallets to cater for the blind or visually impaired. If you look at the solutions provided for blind people to handle cash notes, like the small money identifier cards.. then you would understand that third party providers would quickly see a gap in the market and then develop something for that market.

There are some percentage of our community that represent Blind people and some of them are professional and can afford to be in crypto if given a chance.
So this is a Good thread OP to give them at least attention since we need to gather more and more investors here in our market.
i think this is possible but hard to initiate because of technicalities but with the help of technologies behind crypto? for sure Blind people will be on our line of investing.
Hopefully sooner as the market really needs another set of investors so even Person With Disabilities are needed.

We still have plenty of rooms for improvement and Bitcoin isn't really going to replace Fiat anytime soon. It is just sad that with all the hype and good things that is going on crypto some people couldn't really get into it because of their disabilities even if they want to. It is hard to trust your money with others so I understand that they want to keep it on their own so they doesn't have a choice but to ignore crypto even if they want to invest in it.

That's the another problem why bitcoin is not fully adopted by all people and country. There's a lot of things need to consider. It's not the same with fiat currency that even blind people can still recognized despite of their disability. But I believe that someday experts in crypto specially in bitcoin can make a solution for this.

first and foremost is, how can blind people understand about bitcoin. Blind people have a very sharp sense of touch and hearing, that means to explain the content about bitcoin is by voice and braile. Anyone can dictate the bitcoin whitepaper and upload it to a sharing website which blind people can listen to. It is easier than we all make copies of the bitcoin whitepaper for a blind person to touch using braille code. For transactions themselves, it is possible that there must be a tool that combines voice and braille on the device. Can use braille for input, then voice for output information.

After so many years we are seeing that the bitcoin is continuously growing and it's a community as well. Bitcoin is the biggest cryptocurrency that is running and occurring in the market, this probably because of those people who have been continue supporting it. If I will be able to go back to the past I will continuously support bitcoin and buy it.

This is an interesting topic I was also wondering how could a blind people be able to access Bitcoin, text-to-speech could be easily be implemented. But the thing is that the Bitcoin is not fully legal around the world and just started to recognize to be a currency to be accepted as a mode of payment, we could wait for a few years on what will happen to Bitcoin and hopefully it can be accessible to anyone.

Explain to blind peoples regarding bitcoin or bitcoin technology is quite easy but real use by them is almost impossible. Although there isn't huge amount of blind peoples who want to involved with bitcoin but it would be a nice idea if someone would make a new technology for blind people's. I have real life example on my family, my father almost blind (can't read anything even via power glass), I have explained him regarding bitcoin. He know there is a virtual coin which is called bitcoin. But unfortunately he is unable to use it. I don't if there will be something new in near future to use bitcoin for blind people.
Thumbs up for this one. It is indeed easy to introduce what cryptocurrency and Bitcoin is. They can understand how it works through an explanation. However, the main problem is they capable to use it? can they use make transactions through with it? probably they can if they have someone can help with them but I don't they can if they all alone by themselves. That is why I hope for developers would come up with an idea of giving such privilege for non-ordinary people to use this kind of innovation as well.

This makes me wonder how they will be able to fully used Bitcoin safely/privately, control their keys/coins without exposing them to people, etc . Not all blind people for example will be able to afford hardware wallet but all can certainly afford papers and other cheap materials for writing/storing their keys. If you use audio to read out the keys, hackers could be listening to through the devices unless maybe you have some special devices for this, which could easily be expensive. I think you could encrypt the keys and print them out in braille form, then use some sort of DIY external decryptor made by themselves or for them to decrypt the keys. Or you could have application that could divide onscreen keys in different parts for the blind to gradually snap with camera and print with printer, then rejoin together physically.
