Bitcoin's dominance in the market is way too big for any altcoin to take over it that quick. It might take a lot of years, or it may not happen since bitcoin is the trusted and most successful crypto. There might be a lot of altcoins that is better than bitcoin in regards to speed, transaction cost and etc., but we cannot remove the fact that people love bitcoin because of it's potential not just as a technology, but also as an investment.
in my opinion bitcoin is the parent of all coins and trading also uses bitcoin to exchange it so i think it is difficult there is an altcoin whose price is bigger than bitcoin, i have never found a high altcoin price higher than bitcoin but it does not last long and ends in fraud

You are right, Bitcoin is the father of cryptocurrency which it is impossible for any coin to beat the price of Bitcoin, if a coin pumps more than the price of Bitcoin then we should consider soon the coin will become a fraud. Along with the price of Bitcoin, most of the potential altcoins will increase their prices.

if what you mean about multi-functional digital currencies like Bitcoin is of course difficult to drop. bitcoin is different from other crypto. although bitcoin and cryptoqurrency have similarities in terms of transactions but bitcoin has many advantages that other crypto do not have, especially in terms of investment value. I believe that bitcoin is a profitable investment of all time.
I don't think so. There are many coins out there although gimmicky still undeniable that they have more feature and more "refined" blockchain as most of them said whether it's true or not. Bitcoin nowadays acts like gold because it's the first crypto ever and most of people already have some idea about it. Some other coin might be deemed as bitcoin competitor but that's just some people's opinon not to mention the coins which are outright bitcoin rip off with no innovation whatsoever, they are created to fail.

I don't think it is going to happen, an altcoin overtakes Bitcoin. For years we saw how many altcoins called themself Bitcoin killer, crypto king, etc and aim at Bitcoin but an overturn hasn't come. Not yesterday, not today and not tomorrow either, never will.

Bitcoin's development is never-ending, I doubt if it can be replaced. But nobody knows what the future holds. There are a lot of altcoins with different use cases. With the current state of the market, bitcoin will remain number 1, not unless an altcoin can surpass everything bitcoin has started.

I read a lot of comments. I agree with them. A lot of altcoins, which are faster and younger in terms of technology. But this does not mean that one of them has a chance to circumvent bitcoin. Many generally pack bitcoin = blockchain. Although this is not so. But people think differently.

in some cases, the rise of other currencies in a short time may exceed bitcoin, like a bomb that occurs suddenly for a currency, but in terms of long-term demand, it will not last long or it cannot compensate for bitcoin.
some coin like shitcoin always get big pump in short time, but will be ruturn to normal.

Yes, I agree it's seems possible for the future that bitcoin could be overtaken by altcoin but it takes a massive adoption to it's users. It never be an easy way for this particular coin. Technology continue to develop day by day if bitcoin will follow to the latest and advance technology in the world, it will not be replace. I'm sure btc will still the no.1 cryptocurrency that people will respect and use. Btc will always no.1 for me.

Never ending? I think it did stopped few years ago. As the developer Satoshi abandoned it. The only good thing is that bitcoin is open source and anyone can tapped into its core to improved.  I think for moment none of the altcoins can surpass or even overtake the bitcoin popularity. Even though there are more superior tech than this, its being pioneered as an old testament proves that it would be the king of all coins. I like ethereum but its too early for them to takw over what they can beat right now.

No it's not going to happen, not even binance which is the most active team in crypto space today can beat Bitcoin, can't say about years in the future but Bitcoin is the main reason we are all here today, stop dreaming and support bitcoin today
Yeah, I think there will be no other to replace bitcoin as the top coin in the market even if they have the technology and innovations they have establish in crypto industry. Most of the coins mostly just like revolve around the Bitcoins I mean, whatever bitcoin's status reflects to the most of altcoins in the market.

It is natural when people think differently, because everyone has their own research in assessing the things that happen, even though most people see the same thing, but they have different judgments about it.

First, I would say in cryptocurrency world every thing is possible, the unexpected happens. Also it is imperative to know that other coins are also valued because they have their uniqueness and use case just like bitcoin has  but that does not mean it will over take bitcoin. Bitcoin has stood the test of time.

Taking into consideration the nature and redundancy of Bitcoin technology and the difficulty in scaling, I am very curious to know if Bitcoin protocol will be dropped one day and another coin build to take its place. because now it's almost like the redundancy of Bitcoin and the time it takes for a transaction to be processed is part of what is affecting its mainstream adoption as a currency. please share your thoughts.
Lol, if Bitcoin is having scaling problem, then altcoins will face worse than that. Right now, there is no altcoin that can challenge bitcoin for the top position. Bitcoin will continue to have that advantage as the first cryptocurrency that was ever created.

The only way that it might go down is if a big platform that has already made a name for itself around the world should release their own cryptocurrency, just like Facebook tried to do since last year, but was stopped by the government. If Libra was a successful project , it might have been in a position where it will be able to take challenges from Bitcoin.

there is no altcoin that can overtake or even replace bitcoin now or in the future, bitcoin has a very large dominance. If bitcoin is replaced it means it's the beginning of the destruction of cryptocurrency

Even though anything could possibly happen, I do not think any altcoin is capable of doing that. The altcoins that have been formerly launched and are active in th e space do not have the potential, let alone the new ones. Although some of them already have their use cases, but they are few in number and with the look of things, the world still see Bitcoin as the better of them all despite the challenges of has, such as scalability problem.

That's right, I totally agree with this statement that you said, because the average Altcoin is based on an existing system and even looks at examples in Bitcoin, so it's clear that any coin won't be able to replace Bitcoin at any time.

not only because of that, but you should know that bitcoin price movements are also influenced by very limited supply and very high demand because many use bitcoin as a platform to make payments so that many do transactions in bitcoin while there is currently no altcoin like that so I'm sure bitcoin won't be easy to beat.

There are many new altcoins that are getting better at technology than bitcoin, and their ideas are better than bitcoin. But clearly they cannot replace bitcoin because this is the king of this market. And as you said, if bitcoin were to be replaced by an altcoin in the future, this market would surely be destroyed.

In the future maybe yes but if we are going to talk like 1-5 years from now then the possibility is almost zero especially that big whales are backing up the bitcoin prices compare to other currencies. But if the big whales will boycott the bitcoin and they will support other currencies like eth or other currencies that has a potential then they can easily replace and overtake bitcoin.

But right now, the foundation of other currencies are bitcoin therefore there is no other currencies that were able to replace bitcoin up until now. Let's just see whether there will be other currencies that can surpass bitcoin someday.

Bitcoin is just staring out why speculate on something that will replace on Bitcoin, we must fully support Bitcoin this the first cryptocurrency and it's the only one, that started everything if there are going to have a replacement it should happen when everybody is already using Bitcoin

First, I would say in cryptocurrency world every thing is possible,
The topic is If Bitcoin can be overtaked by other altcoin so better try to check it first because for more than 10 years none of these currency get even closer to the value and capitalization of Bitcoin.
the unexpected happens.
The unexpected happen in price changing but not In ranking in Top,even ethereum is only few times that ha been over taken by ripple so what more in Bitcoin?
Also it is imperative to know that other coins are also valued because they have their uniqueness and use case just like bitcoin has  but that does not mean it will over take bitcoin. Bitcoin has stood the test of time.
and here you changed you mind?you have just said that there is no impossible in this market and now Bitcoin cannot be overtaken ?
