Sorry, getting over this pandemic isn't about abiding by whatever rule or social distancing. Getting a cure is what can become an antidote to the disease. Some quarters say it is here to stay but whether that or not, I believe medication for it should be found and then it can be treated as any other disease in the world.

social distancing does not break the spread of COVID-19 but slows its spread..  New normal sounds more frightening to me than Lockdown, Herd Immunity is added to the New Normal program indirectly (Herd Immunity is making the immune system or more clearly, people are left exposed to Covid-19 to believe the disease exists).  There are so many positive sufferers in the US because there are many who don't believe this disease exists, they assume Covid-19 is just a conspiracy (fake disease)..

Doctors are the ones who should make vaccines for this and all other viruses. Instead of investing in the war industry countries should invest in doctors and vaccines would be found faster. There is no way we are getting a vaccine anytime soon, there are many labs blowing their brains to come up with a vaccine but we are just having clinical trials and it will take a long time to get to an end product that can be used in a medical facitlity.

I think it is hard to get the people who create the virus, even we don't know from what country this virus comes from. China refused to claim they made the virus, they blamed USA. How we know those people in this condition, no certainty at all.

Its amazing how the man has quite a deep and clear understanding of communicable diseases, vaccines, testing etc. He mentions about the opening up of Microsoft China that the chinese are still being conservative about opening up and are encouraging people to work from home. They are following this even though the peak has passed for them for a long time now.

I feel worried here back home in India because we have all but opened up. There is no official communication to stay inside and the govt is relying on the self-awareness among the population to maintain distance and wear masks etc. The infections are still climbing in major clusters like the hugely populated and congested metro cities Delhi and Mumbai. The smaller towns are also starting to see an increase in cases. The demographic is such that people cannot afford to remain indoors. The corona virus is said to be in the air and has some limit of time to spend in the air.
But the virus keep spreading even if it cant spend long in air or anywhere.

There is much research about the Coronavirus and some have proved that Coronavirus is actually man-made or at least it's not from nature. Despite that, I still think finding the origin of the Coronavirus is difficult if not impossible. Yes, The quickest way I can think of right now would be to just get as many precautions as you can and just let people do whatever you want. Will this cause a lot of people to die? Sure it will, and most of them will be upsetting because it will be people who have no other choice but to go outside. I heard some noble prize winner cum economic analyst said that if the total world stops working for 14 days that will script the end of covid19 more easily.

However when you allow people to get sick or die, you are also dropping the amount of people who could get it as well. That is literally what governments are trying to achieve unfortunately, one more dead means one less covid case, that is how they see it

Herd immunity was proposed in the UK as the first response and the authorities later retracted their view, after probably witnessing the enormous load on healthcare system in Italy. This response from authorities will vary from country to country. For sparsely populated, developed countries with concentrated centers of population, the cluster approach will work and they will not have to play with citizen's lives in the hopes of herd immunity.

In poorer countries with huge population like India or Nigeria, people themselves seem to have accepted the fate that it will spread, no matter what. If you live, you live. If you or someone you know doesn't survive, well, mehhh. The govt will be happier with the herd immunity outcome. The problem is that coronaviruses are not like say, measles, smallpox or polio where immunity if for a lifetime. The most worrying phenomena is that it may only be seasonal immunity. That is why we can never give up on the approach of finding and isolating cases. This fucking virus needs to be starved of human bodies.
