Let's wait for this contest to officially end and then we can discuss about the rules, I see that pretty much we all agree that several things must be changed and the contest should be held only on the forum, not on Discord.

This competition was not perfect but I believe next year's event will be better. There might be some flaws in the voting proceeds but without evidence, they remain mere speculation. Maybe the monetary benefit spurred some participants to go the extra mile of manipulating the votes. It could be that people also did some publicity and campaign encouraging people to vote for them. But one thing I am sure of is that we had a great time in this pizza competition. They might try to exploit the loopholes but they cannot stop me from having fun and smiling at some pizzas. I got 8 votes and didn't make it to the top 10 but I am proud of myself. See you guys at the 2024 Bitcoin Pizza bake-off contest.

It seems to me that if it is difficult to figure out if the vote (or the voting) was sufficiently fair, and if there is an intention that forum members vote, then it could be a good idea to re-do the vote - and to do it on this forum and connected such vote to user ids.. but yeah whatever..  

Based on Cyrus's earlier description of the rationale of the discord, I do understand the idea of trying to promote and wanting to have another way that forum members can communicate..and wanting to promote that other way of communicating.. and provide incentives to use that other communication channel... so having the vote finalized in the discord might be the preferred way for this particular contest.. it's kind of a discretionary thing regarding the specifics in how to conduct this kind of a contest and not as many people would want to participate in a contest that is not fair.. even if such contest had been meant to have some funzie objectives, as well.

You don't have to be a detective to see that a large number of people who voted for this year's winner created their discord accounts on the same day (June 10) that happens to be the last day of the voting and all these people have very similar generic cartoon avatars.

Anyway, congratulations to all who made it into the top 10. All your pizzas look yummy.

I haven't followed this year's competition much as I was on the road but was it the case yet again, that vote of those who joined Discord server after this event started also counted? I am asking because in the first contest we had exactly the same issue and it was said that for the 2nd contest you will have to be a member of bitcointalk Discord server prior to start of the contest in order for your vote to count. Then again, its easy to manipulate that rule as well as someone might park bunch of his alt accounts months before contest even starts but at least it might prevent the most obvious voting abuse.

I have been aware of all drama going on with the pizza contest and to some extent, I am not surprise as rigging is actually now a fix act on most human habit but with that being said I still support for us to just patiently wait for Cyrus to upload the official result since their is actually nothing we can do about the voting system so instead of deliberating now, we should just all take a chill pill and just booze off as the main purpose of this competition was actually just to enjoy the spirit of the bitcoin first pizza purchase.

I think making voting available only for older discord accounts verified with phones numbers could reduce cheating like this, but it won't eliminate it like this.

Dont know if noticed , but Discord has or will be made some changes of the intern Usernames you have !

The formerly intern Username was your Username and some kind of number , for example my one was Lafu#3216.
This will be changing and everybody has to give his self some kind of intern Username on Discord.
Its possible to see the formerly known Username if going to your profile and hover over the sign next to your Username as you can see in the picture bellow.
I changed my one to .lafu

The only interesting thing on that list is that I don't recognize majority of those names. One would think (well at least I would) that majority of bitcointalk Discord server members are also active here, but I guess that's not the case.

As I mentioned in one of my previous post that's certainly a possibility, that someone gets bunch of alt accounts before contest starts in order to be less suspicious. That is much harder to prove though, than what happend in your case when few hours before voting ended 9 accounts were created and all of them voted for you. Can you maybe give a plausible explanation for that?

Here is the list of those accounts and the exact time of creation. 9 accounts in ~1 hour makes me think that the same person is behind all of them.

The accounts you've listed as proof of suspicious behavior were at least made BEFORE the 10th of June.

You're saying that Fillippone's votes are suspicious because the voters registered in 2022, while some of your voters did that on June 10 2023, the last day of voting.

It's awesome how you accuse me of being full of shit when I haven't broken any rules.  When you bring me the rules where it was written that I couldn't invite my friends even in the last second of the contest, I'll agree with you and maybe some merit.  Until proven otherwise, you'd better write elsewhere because I think it's quite useless.  I had to mention Fil because he is the runner-up and with so many votes otherwise I would never have allowed myself to point it out.
