Will the price of an airdrop token increase significantly if it's under a big project/company? Or does it really depend on how that new token and its team perform?

Such things cannot be predicted easily. If you are staisfied with the team and the project development in general and believe that the project will do well in mid to long term then you should hold the airdrop coins as well and wait for good price to make decent gains in the end.

So since you indicated guess it when the airdrop will become from the major project then we can guess it price will be good enough. But It is very hard indeed guess the correct price of these airdrop token. So according to this market situation, we can not expect more than 20$ from an airdrop IMO.
