I do not have a specific study to support my claim, but I can tell you that I received 100s of queries from my friends and their friends that usually gambled at the Brick n mortar casinos with us for help with their Bitcoin wallets. They want to use the bitcoins on online gambling sites like Stake.com and Bitcasino.io and Freebitco.in ( I used my referral to create their accounts and my weekly income from referrals has increased significantly)

My affiliate support page has also given me access to see how much they are gambling, so it was astonishing to see how much they are dumping on gambling.  Shocked

It will also be interesting to see if there is an increase in online gambling sites now, because the Brick n Mortar casinos cannot operate now under lockdown and they will have to shift to online gambling to survive now.  Huh

I really think there are a bunch of studies that were made by many analysis in what may happen with gambling when there is a crisis like this back in the time when there is no COVID, I guess there are studies like this and it will surely impact the gambling industry and mostly sports bets was the one that has taken a big blow, but right now I think it is already slowly getting back on track because there are many indoor sports that is still on a play and the recent UFC continuation with their fights was keeping the sports bet alive again.

I don't think that such study exists.
Maybe some individuals have made it.for their own purpose or for curiosity but I don't think there is comprehensive, expert one.
However, I have the feeling that online gambling profited from lockdown because all physical casions were closed so probably even players who were not online casino fans took that possibility to continue with gambling even in quarantine.
The gambling industry continues to this day many gamblers do this because they know in the lockdown period they can also bet on what they want to study so that it will be there but still traditional gambling is still closed today and it makes the gambling industry increase because turn to online, especially now that sports betting has begun to return, of course this will be a good increase in this quarantine.

They will always be at stake because they know that now is an empty time so long by betting on gambling now.

I've searched as in-depth as possible to give you a good, detailed answer and I fortunately found a good study you could take a look at:

Studies made by Omer Liss @Optimove

I've also found some articles talking about the effect of lockdown among different countries or states, I think they're pretty useful too:

As far as I understand from these studies, gambling is mostly on the rise (some parts of the world having a quite significant increase) while, interestingly, some groups have actually answered the opposite - so some studies are in contradiction.

Hopefully I was able to retrieve the information you need Grin

Which do you think is more of that exactly is happening, knowing that there are groups that contradict the studies. Are there more gamblers going to online casinos or they hold their cash this lockdown?

I actually take it as advertising for these online casinos to which they pay for these articles to be published. Its an opportunity for them to pull these gamblers from going to physical casinos.
