Theymos catches a lot of shit for anything and everything.  I can't speak for anything more than what I know/have seen with my own two eyes, and censorship isn't his cup of tea as Ver always claims.  I ran in to yet another censored bitcoin.com article and since I've seen people ask why Roger Ver has red trust here/gets a lot of hate from the community, I thought I'd share a prime example(s) of his lying hypocrisy. Also love how the r/btc channel explanation doesn't mention bitcoin cash at all.

The first article is a paid ad. If it wasn't, they'd state it at the bottom.  I exposed his admin Jamie for his lies in a long detailed comment(s) which he deleted. Thanks to disqus I have proof.  Jamie has been around, he knows collectibles..Denarium is well known to be shady, and as a public company they have shareholders to keep happy.  It's one thing to advertise, another to pull this bs. It's no surprise they just shut down their collectibles division. This article is now closed to comments as you can see    

The next article is pretty straight forward, but it's what prompted me to write this post. It's no secret Nick Szabo is a legend in this space that few rival in knowledge and experience.  The article is clearly meant to discredit him as satoshi since he's pro bitcoin and anti-bcash.  Comments also disabled.  

Lastly, if you think r/btc is an open place to discuss crypto, just say anything that isn't pro bcash.  Roger might not censor you here but his trolls will...Down-voting you out of discussion




I know this all isn't news to many, but it is to some. IMO It's necessary to remind everyone and expose those trying to tear down bitcoin for their own personal gain. Moral of the story, Ver says theymos is a censoring tyrant to distract from the fact that he's the one who is.  I can't believe people ever called him Bitcoin Jesus smh.

I'm  not trying to be an asshole here but I think it is best to change the title even though when reading the content of your post it is a refutation of that statement

The problem is google just shows the heading in a bunch of search results maybe about theymos and if they see only a bunch of titles like this you could give just the opposite opinion to many members than what you intend.

Not everyone clicks on every link they just register the title

With regard the content specifically of the post I feel it is wrong of roger to say these things of theymos when you dig deep and investigate thoroughly. After watching a lot of Rodgers videos it appears to me he is quite emotional but he seems to genuinely believe in what he is doing.

I don't think it is good for bitcoin or bitcoin cash to stir up too much trouble although I appreciate the others seem to be more hyper critical of theymos than the other way around. I think they need to just do their thing and stop creating friction and attacking theymos.

Bitcointalk still has a great capacity for free speech at an admin level in my experience and that must remain.
If there were any legitimate gripes with moderation I feel it doubtful that theymos was directly involved.
It is a shame ver broke away, It is undeniable he did a lot for bitcoin at one time.
I guess there is no putting it back together again. That is a shame. Then again extreme personalities often find it hard to collaborate successfully.

Your info appears solid but title at face value is potentially damaging to those not reading the entire post.

When I first got on Reddit I had little clue what was what in the cryptocurrency space. I thought that r/btc was, well, for bitcoin! Those are the freaking initials for it after all ( I can't stand that he rides bitcoins coattails in this manner so often).  I was really surprised to see everyone hating on bitcoin so much.  I tried engaging in conversation about larger blocks ( how can you say they are truly better if they have NEVER actually been tested through it's blockchain such as bitcoin had in 2017).  "We can't truly test the code, it has to be done naturally"and it was like I had said I murdered all their mothers. As I stated I had no idea this was Bcash's sub.  I was truly trying to have an educational conversation/debate..no one had anything of substance or logic to say.  It was nothing but "you're an idiot" type stuff. It's mind boggling how narrow minded his followers are.

I've noticed a resurgence of Tether threads which bubbles up every few months on r/btc. They have fixated on USDT being the thing that will 'take down' CoreBorgStreamBilderbergAxaCoin despite it being bleedin' obvious that it'll mangle their pet too. It's unquestionably more dependent on it.

If that level of blinkerdom can be maintained on there then I'd rather leave them to it.

I hear ya, they are in their own little world in the sub. It's kind of like living in Florida in the United States.  They are are still apart of the same entity, but they are living in a world of complete difference / parallel universe. ( I lived in FL for 6 years.  If you don't live in the U.S. check out r/floridaman).   Which is funny you say this, I'm listening to the radio right now and apparently in the news , scientist believe they may have found a parallel universe lol. Never know!

I regard r/cryptocurrency as effectively a goner too.

They live in a world where 'partnerships', one second block times, and zero fees take precedence over stuff that is secure, tested, competently developed and, y'know, works.

Most of the posts display total and wilful incomprehension of the fact that you need a rock solid foundation before you can do anything else. If you point that out they start to turn on you like the freaky children in Village of the Damned.

Assuming those 2,188 readers are mostly not in the forum and their main source of Bitcoin information is in BTC's subreddit they will most likely be mislead in believing that Bitcoin Cash is some kind of alternative for Bitcoin and just like you said maybe Tether too. So really even if we say they are "confined in their walled garden" I think that they are enjoying their current situation right now where they have a lot of viewers compared to Bitcointalk.

Still my point is if people are making r/Bitcoin as their main source of information on Bitcoin information then they are being fed by misleading information with Roger Ver's trolls, even if anyone cast post there like what others have said Ver's army can just downvote the shit out of it for it to have no chance of even showing up in the trending section of the subreddit. This is a mainstream forum/social website we are talking about and I know a lot of people  use this as their main source of information. I just feel bad for them that they are being mislead that's why I think we need to have an initiative to counter them.

I can't believe the forum only has a couple hundred members at anyone time

What is more upsetting is that the 2013 boom.was not supassed in online peak in the 2017/18 peak.
This is genuinely new and concerning news to me.
I had assumed this forum had 100s of thousands of very active members.
How can the birthplace of bitcoin only have 218 ppl online. This is the core discussion forum of a paradigm shift.

I’m curious to see a chart of active users on here , hour by hour for like a week long span or so. I’m guessing Loyce or someone else has made something similar. However need to remember many come here as guests, both members and non. Unless they show active too? 

Thank god for this place though. If my only source to interact was through Twitter (limited characters/incomplete discussions) or Reddit ..I don’t know where I’d stand today with crypto exactly.

Back to topic ,Honest Abe Ver is back at it again, preaching his “non-censored” ways. I once again posted about his utter hypocrisy and it got buried deep at the bottom of the post. I stated a simple fact exposing him and his trolls covered it up quick per usual. Even asked to simply explain why the downvote if you leave one. Cowards will just silence me and say jack shit.
