Selling accounts is clearly not against the rules, so you should read the rules before actualy trying to quote them...

@ talkstar
Its good to see that you are still active and observing all replies here. I am not asking for opening flag against you due to your account selling activities dude. I have already mentioned that i am waiting for mods response here and its just for getting all details about the message you sent to OP.

For your kind information its "TalkStar" not "talkstar"

Don't get speedy, stay tune and wait for the update from moderators end. Hope you have enough time on your hand.

Yes a Moderator/Staff can actually help you verify your claim that he sent that PM, just click on the "Report to Moderator" in the bottom corner of the PM and then in the "description box" and include a link to this post and ask the Moderator to post here to help you verify the PM.

You're saying mods have open access to PM's ?? I find that disturbing especially on a forum like this. Never was aware of that and while in cases/disputes like this it would be good but I do find it to be a bit intrusive. On most forums they do NOT for privacy reasons.  That being said I've never seen a mod confirm or not confirm anyone's personal messages when asked to do so.  Of course I haven't read every message on the system either so I guess it might be true! Cheesy

They don't have OPEN access to PMs, you read it wrong, they can only see a PM when it has been reported and I don't see anything wrong with, If I'm supposed to report a PM Pand the send is supposed to get a ban or something, there is no way to verify if they can't see the content of such PM.

I've seen a case or two where this was done, and I don't think that's the worse thing on the forum.

So let's agree to disagree on that.  Cheesy  I do note they don't call it a "Private Message" here but just a "personal message" so that could be an out but I still generally disagree.  Maybe if someone claims they have been personally threatened with bodily injury that may be an exception but for "run of the mill" scamming that goes on here all the time, nah.  If mods do NOT moderate obvious scam threads which is the policy here why would they deal with digging for "personal messages" between people claiming a scam?

Just my opinion from my experiences running & using forums since Radio Shack's MicroNet back in 1979 that later became Compuserve.

I get your point but it's not digging in this case. This guy is claiming I faked a photo of a PM that he sent me proving that he was trying to scam me. It's a shitty person's effort to try to not look shitty and for that I see no problem contacting reporting the message in question so that the mods can confirm that this guy indeed is a scammer which would help people avoid similar situations in the future.

I 100% understand and don't blame you for your position and feel for your loss despite all the obvious red flags. I've been there.  However if every alleged victim or alleged scammer asks mods to do this they will pull out their hair.  All this case is is a dispute of one person calling the other a liar.  You have posted your proof which highly likely proves you correct but you are simply in a "s/he said s/he said" argument with your alleged scammer. I know it hurts your feelings to be called out as a liar but in the general scheme of things IN MY OPINION ONLY there is nothing to it that will change what happened to you.  This scamming probably happens 100x a day here so my opinion is I'd rather see them spend their time moderating the obvious scam threads than have to go looking for PM's between 2 people calling each other liars.  I HOPE THEY DO IT FOR YOU but it just doesn't follow how that kind stuff is generally handled here.  Good luck!  These are only my opinions and since I am not a moderator I can't speak to their opinions or rules or procedures.

I understand your point, Moderators already have more than enough to deal with here on daily basis and having to meditate in this kind of use situation would be asking too much, considering the tons of request they'll get if this should become nom.

I know there is nothing that can change what happened and I know people are getting scammed all the time, but I'm trying to do my part exposing a toxic scammer and if that helps someone else not get scammed, I feel pretty good about that. I get what you are saying about looking in the PMs but in my opinion (which is of course very subjective) in this case it's very clear who is lying and a moderators intervention to just check out the message that I reported and see that it's legit doesn't seem like that much of a effort or waist of time considering it might help someone not get scammed down the line. Of course again, I'm very subjective because I'm heavily involved in this but it is what it is, I reported the message and know I'm waiting to see if the mods are gonna do anything about that.

I most certainly am lame, considering I got scammed by a person that barely has a grasp on the English language. As far as this "pretending to be dumb" act goes, you are not fooling anyone so just shut up.

Damn, you are pretty hilarious for a scammer and I agree with you, there is no further need for you to reply here, everyone can see through your act and karma is a bitch so don't expect you'll be getting away with scamming people forever.

Unfortunately what you just said is the problem because even IF a scammer gets banned (they NEVER get banned for scamming even it is proven beyond a reasonable doubt, it's for other repeat violations) they just come back with a new ID so unfortunately they would always be with us.  Here's an example of a scammer with over 30 accounts.  Each one gets banned every day and he comes back with another one or sometimes 2.  The "sales" forums are like the wild west and there is no control over it at all.  That's why you should just consider it a lesson learned and move on just a little bit wiser and don't let it get to you so much.  Cheesy

Idk I don't see the point in just not doing anything and it's not about this "getting to me". I've learned my lesson and I certainly won't let something like this happen to me again but this is not just about me. I really don't like the idea of just giving up saying "well there's nothing that can be done". And yes someone can just make another account, but banning a scammer with a 7 year old account can only do good and if he comes back it will be much harder for him to scam someone with a completely blank account. Of course there will always be scammers but I think it's not a good mindset to just say fuck it. The concept of not banning a scammer because "he will just come back" seems just very weird to me.

But still if this guy doesn't get banned, someone posted a list of known cheaters and I would recommend putting him there for people to know.

I've created a scam flag if anyone wants to support this case: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=1878

Thanks,  Smiley
