I visited a number of places "of course joining the crypto community who know about Bitcoin" I haven't visited during a pandemic.
But yesterday I took the time to meet with friends from the Bitcoin community in country /region my.

Talking, brainstorming and much else we do about Bitcoin right now.

Not as beautiful as in 2016 and 2017, at that time many communities were interested in learning and learning about Bitcoin, but since the pandemic and the price of Bitcoin did not have a good impact on them, many turned to other internet worlds.
Only 60% of the Bitcoin community is loyal now, 40% are nonchalant.
whereas the community used to be 100% loyal to Bitcoin.

I am sure, at a time when many communities did not care about Bitcoin at that time that Bitcoin would be victorious again, just as at the time when Bitcoin was not widely known in its heyday, surely those who don't care about Bitcoin will contemplate regret when Bitcoin has the real peak.

My question....!
What percentage of the community in country / region your still cares about Bitcoin now, "contemporaries" when you were learning Bitcoin with your friends....!

It is unfortunate to witness the decline of the Bitcoin community in your country, in my country now the situation is the opposite of your country, due to economic pressure and Corona virus and quarantine all these things made people think about an alternative way to obtain income from work at home and therefore the attention today is more concerned with bitcoin than any time ago. Bad economic situation is the reason.

It's very difficult to be precise about this. Unless you know how many people exactly use and know bitcoin and which one is considered as community, then it's just going to be a mere guess with arbitrary numbers. "Loyal" is also needs to be defined. What exactly makes people "loyal"? Do they need to use bitcoin for any payment? Are they not allowed to have bank accounts? etc.

That being said, the industry is going forward (with its plus and minus, mostly about KYC stuff) regardless of the price. I don't hate people if they stop getting interested with bitcoin on short-term due to the price though. That's just how economy works.

It is unfortunate to witness the decline of the Bitcoin community in your country,
Yes, it's a pity for them, in the past, most of them succeeded because Bitcoin can't be hidden is a reality.
At times like this, they think Bitcoin doesn't have a good impact on them anymore, that's the wrong idea, if they think like that.
I can't blame them for their own 'way of thinking', I have given them the best advice about Bitcoin "don't regret it later".

"Loyal"
I can define for you from our community that is "loyal" from the meaning of fidelity.

Not talking about how much the new community wants to know about Bitcoin which is definitely 'a lot' very sure (Missing one grows a thousand) You certainly know the meaning.
That I point to the community when we are contemporaries in learning the meaning of Bitcoin.

2016 and 2017, at that time many communities were interested in learning and learning about Bitcoin, but since the pandemic and the price of Bitcoin did not have a good impact on them, many turned to other internet worlds.

It sounds from this that plenty of those people who previously were interested but have since dropped out, were interested solely from the perspective of short-term profit. If no short-term profit means their interest in bitcoin evaporates, then that suggests that it wasn't bitcoin they were interested in in the first place, but profit.
I would contend that it is only in times of difficulty that you can see who is truly interested in a thing; once the good-time profit-seekers have been stripped away, all that remains is those who are in it for the long-term, and who can see the potentially transformative vision of what bitcoin can be.
Of course all interest is welcome, regardless of reason, but if a large number of people are motivated solely by profit, then their interest will ebb and flow with the vagaries of the market, and this can potentially give a misleading picture of the number of people who are 'truly' interested.

'my community' of friends interested in bitcoin is not so large, and since my country is a really populous one, I cannot make out the numbers still interested or who've lost interest in the larger picture, so I'll keep it within my contemporaries.
but since the pandemic and the price of Bitcoin did not have a good impact on them, many turned to other internet worlds.
The opposite is the case over here, the pandemic has caused increased interest within my community of friends, we haven't had the opportunity to meet up like you did due to lockdown, but bitcoin has remained a hot topic of discussion between us over our social media handles, from what the effect of the pandemic will be, to the btc halving etc. It's impossible to suddenly become disinterested in bitcoin due to unfavorable prices (as the short term investors might put it) except you only want to get rich ASAP, but if we build a community based on real interest in the network (like mine) then it won't be 'ephemeral, but continuously lasting'.

Will not talk about my community since I believe I am the only one using Bitcoin and being active here. I used to inform relatives about it, encouraged them to join, failed. At the end barely one of them hold a small amount. I heard also that an ex co-worker that I informed him about bitcoin is joining the wave.
I learned also that an increasing number of people here are using cryptocurrencies (indirectly/not bitcoin) as a way for payment. Most of them using altcoins and joining bounties...

That sounds really fun, if what is happening to your community right now.

I have friends who were actually formed by the community in our day and were introduced to Bitcoin at that time, but at our meeting this time it was very different, I didn't blame them for doing something best for them ,work maybe is the best. (for them to do).

I only give advice that they keep investing Bitcoin, and other work continues while they have the ability to do it, don't leave Bitcoin, which has given they glory in the past, that's my advice.

Just like in your country, it is same here. People pay less attention to any thing related to bitcoin except some few ones that venture into crypto and gift card trading on some platforms such as PAXFUL. I think what makes bitcoin popular before in my countries are those money doubling program popularly refers to HYIP that uses crypto as part of payment donation method and ever since many got scammed bitcoin wasn't always pleasant in their ear. Most always think bitcoin is a scam

I don't have exact information about the size of the Bitcoin community in my country.
I live in a small town and there aren't Bitcoin or cryptocurrency supporters here.
However,I understand why there is a decline in the Bitcoin community in some countries for the last 3 years.
1.Many people bought at the ATH of 2017 and can't recover their loss,so they got disappointed.
2.Many people fell into various Bitcoin or ICO token scams so they lost money too.
3.Many people got discouraged because mass Bitcoin adoption isn't going anywhere and it seems that Bitcoin will never become the number 1 digital currency,we all have been waiting for.

IIRC when I joined bitcointalk, I read threads of users asking if it's good to trade or invest full time with no job to do, but all the answers amounted to a resounding NO, so your friends do not have to quit their job or stay without working to still nurture and retain their interests in bitcoin (trading or investing etc)
I think what makes bitcoin popular before in my countries are those money doubling program popularly refers to HYIP that uses crypto as part of payment donation method and ever since many got scammed bitcoin wasn't always pleasant in their ear. Most always think bitcoin is a scam
When the btc halving was close for example, many people became more interested, only because of what they heard they could stand to gain (which may not all be true) if they invest close to a bitcoin halving event, it's the same for people only interested due to 'income doubling schemes', if they lost interest while trying to 'stupidly' double their money, then imo they did not have any real interest in the first place.

What percentage of the community in your country still cares about Bitcoin now, "contemporaries" when you were learning Bitcoin with your friends....!

Where did you get those numbers from? I don't doubt that a lot of Bitcoin owners now are "filthy casuals" who only care about trading, but I don't think any accurate research has been made on this topic, and if it was, I'd very much like to read it.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to view Bitcoin only as an investment vehicle, these people still contribute to Bitcoin by providing liquidity and supporting the price.

The question is very subjective for me especially when it comes to the 'percentage' WHY? because you cannot see the whole community from your viewpoint, you're not a member of each community from your country right? so how would you suppose to know? And how do you define loyalty from bitcoin? is it a loyalty from holding, or loyalty from using? with such a huge number that we are talking about in here it is futile to think about it anymore.

If you will base from the chart the whole market grew from year to year of its existence, so maybe what are you trying to ask is the growth of crypto as a whole coz that's what you can only see from now and Im going to say that we are running smooth and great.

This is an interesting question you pose. I can say the largest % of my friends and colleagues that got interested in bitcoin and bought in was in 2017, naturally. I would say about 70% of those people have stuck around. That’s not bad. I have had other friends hop in since to replace thence and honestly it’s consistently happening.

Not as beautiful as in 2016 and 2017, at that time many communities were interested in learning and learning about Bitcoin, but since the pandemic and the price of Bitcoin did not have a good impact on them, many turned to other internet worlds.
I may not be able to define how many percentages of the community in my region, because well yeah, actually I'm so very rarely to met them, even before this pandemic emerging. What's more, even in this city, I don't have a certain community regarding Bitcoin or other cryptos. I only participated in a number of telegram communities, and indeed compared to the beginning I joined, it could be said to have decreased "somewhat" drastically.

Here, a little story, actually met the first time with crypto activists (especially Bitcoin) in 2017, more precisely the end of 2017. At that time Bitcoin was like something that was very wow discussed in various circles.
And when it appeared, I joined a community, where at that time I was totally new and didn't even understand it, I could say "just go along", not even active, just monitor what they were talking about (I could even say more than 50% don't really know about this, only joining and sometimes not know what to do exactly and correctly  Grin). At that time there were still limited members of the community and later in 2018, more people joined. Just to learn and earn a fortune in this crypto world.

But what happened next was when the crypto world began to decline, especially when the price of BTC plummeted, the community members disappeared, even more than 60% were no longer active. And now, as far as I know, only 10% are left to work on this crypto world.

Said to be ironic, maybe yes. However, this is related to the income obtained from this, which is increasingly declining.

In fact, actually, if you want to be occupied, Bitcoin provides an unusual opportunity. Let's see, in this pandemic era, where we can't work outside, even losing our jobs, we can still make an income from the crypto world, especially more earnings from BTC. It was obtained from either a campaign like this or trading or other activities (short/long). that's what I feel now, it is the best way for me to earn money because losing jobs outside during this pandemic.

I cant give out numbers but i do presume that numbers are more than on previous years. Blockchain tech and Bitcoin had become some hot news in past years upto now.

Its just somewhat an anticipated thing that not all here on the community are true believers or supports which is normal. You cant please anybody, right?

It doesnt matter if they are loyal or not because the one who do believe on this tech will surely be the one to be rewarded if things go to the roof.
