Altcoins follow the trend for bitcoin, many of them are worthless and will only gain some value only when the market is in an excessive bull. Many of the top coins are not deriving value from use cases, only from occasional pumps and dumps

Still the market relied from how bitcoin moves, the bigger the rise of bitcoin the chance for alts to follow and pumped. though some have it's own small
movements due to updates but not really the a big part of the entire industry.


It takes time for everything, the good thing is bitcoin already bringing the business embracing it will be accompanied by crypto that have real usages.

we have experience some huge Mooning in some altcoin but for obvious reason and that is Pumping from whales or something related to that to make that specific altcoin Come to moon but with also sole purpose and that is to trap investors to take their money .

There are some coins that can Pump themselves without the help Bitcoin, This is purely due to supply and demand, so if many people buy, the price will go to the moon. yes, ERT is up more than 150%, but one should be careful with tokens like ERT, it could go down faster than you think, you should always follow development and news, community size, and their announcement thread has only one updater, that is active now after some months, and that coincide with strong uphold momentum, looks like pump-and-dump, be careful and do your own analysis

No, I do not feel that altcoin is going to the moon right now. It is really trapped by the price of bitcoin. We don`t know if btc will go to 10K or fall down to 7K usd. In fact, I have accumulated altcoin today, CHR and WRX but they doesn`t hyped even there is event such as trading competition and mainnet. However, they may fluctuate anytime if btc will goes up. Actually, the recent market awaits the next move of bitcoin for altcoins to pump or dump.

Not all Altcoins depend on Bitcoin, there are some Altcoins that don't depend on Bitcoin, although most of Altcoins appear to depend on bitcoin trends, so their value will only go up when Bitcoin experiences a large pump.

that's just a rare case and might be affected by another factor but as far as I know bitcoin always play role when it comes to pump and dump because BTC dominance is about 64% which means no matter what coin got pumped they will eventually come back to bitcoin.

You can analyze what happened in 2017, when most of the altcoins and the tokens went up by 100x to 200x (for comparison, Bitcoin went up by 22x during the same period). But the situation is entirely different now, and new projects are finding it hard to get acceptability and funding. That's why I am feeling more skeptical about the new projects now.

The altcoins are moving up when bitcoin is stable but as soon as bitcoin pumps or dumps the altcoin dumps hard. I am waiting for a proper bull run of bitcoin, the altcoin will really pump once the bitcoin will cross its all time high.

Not all altcoins are like that, there are some altcoins that have their own patterns.

Altcoins are steps follower. And the steps that they follow is bitcoin's. That should be the first to make itself to the moon then they are the next.
And IMO, it's not the skyrocketing of altcoins yet and even bitcoin. We current see a small dip that's being made for bitcoin and also the steps follower.

I agree, the altcoin season is over and people shouldn't expect it too much.

I can't see how this will be possible because the entire cryptocurrency market is experiencing some hard times for their price to spike. The coronavirus pandemic has seriously affected the market. As we'll know that , the cryptocurrency market depends solely on speculatives news, we haven't heard any which will help the altcoins to moon. Frankly speaking, the market has no sign of bullish but maybe in few months from now the market may have a good move for altcoins to grow profits for portfolios holder's and trader's.
