My friend, we live in a country where sports betting is not yet allowed. Also, if there is a political bet, everything may get harder in the country. I think it would be sufficient to allow trading with reasonable rules instead of sports betting. Policy is a bit complicated and short-term betting is never possible. Because the results are mostly long term in policy.

I remember that I read an article before that there is gambling about politics on the mid-year of 1990s which is rapidly becoming popular they are predicting the winner of the upcoming election on that year the gambling is still legal and there is no too much restriction. Then I found some research because of getting curious about the OPs topic then I found out that the year is 1980-90, that they are betting if the currently running will going to be re-elected or will change.

According to this article but in gambling with the ballot box, they are betting who will win the election with a particular odds too like the modern trading we have today.

Betting can be done on anything but i don't think people will be interested in this type of betting. Political betting is only interesting if it is limited to who will win the elections. I don't like the idea of betting on date of opening of borders or ending of lockdown etc.

I don't know any site that is offering local political betting service. Though in my country, it's very obvious what stand mostly people have especially we are now in a crisis. It's like you will see half of the people hate our current president, while the other half are supporters of him. I am also not sure if it will be a thing since right now, gambling is banned temporarily and most adults here prefer traditional gambling than online.

Personally, I don't and have not tried betting about any related political issue because for me it's not a game. I'm fine with people making bets about it but I don't find the excitement not thrill about it especially when it's a serious matter. Unfortunately political betting is only possible for big countries I guess, I like to bet on what candidate will win during election in our country but it's not present in any sportsbook, most of the betting odds available are from country such as the USA.

Not sure why, but I think if sports book will add more countries then they can get more gamblers and that would improve their revenue, I know they just rely on the odds providers, so hopefully odds providers will consider this as one of the event they will add so we can all have a chance to bet. That's not how I understood his post. He was asking for gambling websites in different countries that offers political betting so other gamblers can also bet on them. ^ Definitely right, political betting is possible and definitely it will become illegal for no politician will allow this kind of activity when their names will be shortlisted in gambling. This can also be used by a political candidate or elected politician for his own interest when we all know that there are some countries that election can be sometimes manipulated and will give a fabricated result. In my own, if ever this will be done, I will never spend a single penny to bet in any of the political candidates in our country because I can still consider that the politics here is already a dirty game so might as well not to play and bet on the games related to it anymore.

At first it sounds a little bit strange. To bet on current political situation regarding pandemic and its consequences, probably makes some dillemas. Although people bet on everything I don't think there are online casionos ready to offer such kind of betting. Yes that's right political betting and sports betting are just the same in which those who are part of the betting game will choose a certain person and bet for that side  through a great amount of money if you are really confident that your chosen one has a big advantage to win the game.

I have always found it a bit immoral but remember there is only a handful of places that could actually change hands, hence why there is a big betting in USA since they literally go from democrat to republican to democrat to republican (literally papa Bush to Clinton to W.bush to Obama to trump). But look at all the other countries in the world, most people who are at the top of the most famous party will end up with the win 99% of the time. Sure there are some weird changes once in a decade somewhere but it is not that frequent.

Moreover it is usually years apart everywhere so you do not get too much of betting chance with it at all. Sports is still a lot better, even if the team loses there is really not that much importance to it and worst case they will relegate and that's it.

Its understandable or already a norm that these countries would really have that much attention yet we know on whats their reputation or ranking when it comes to power in overall.So its no surprising that they would always make some buzz and interest even choosing on who would be the leader.
In talks about local political betting then i dont see anything yet no sportsbook will surely have this line due to lack of interest and if there are

Well, its good to make money on the political decision of every country but this one is still not available and maybe it wont happen simply because of the politics are too dirty to bet for. Well, it is a fight with words compared to sports gambling which is a fight between skills and bodies. Not saying that elections don't require skill, but they tend to be tedious to watch sometimes, especially if you don't particularly know much about the jargons they keep saying.

If USA political betting (Election) is listed in the sports books why can't they list other popular countries like England or Australia elections results ?

One thing is that you will see various sports happening all days of the year some or other teams keeps playing. All depended upon the varied interested people have in the sports and accordingly they can bet as they are aware about the teams and the players as well. This gives them better chance of betting rightly as compared to that of politics. Politics happen at each level or it is difficult to judge that or even known I feel at times.

Now this is also similar in our case. 6 presidential election candidates, possibly top 3 will be the ones that will be competing for the bet. Of course since surveys are also usual the top 2 will always be picked. Also the betting is definitely localized on our end. No websites, just group to group, discreetly organized so in a sense illegal. But most local betting are organized inside the casinos here so it will not attract any attention from the authorities. The nastier thing that happened then is that one candidate of the vice presidency who is always number one in surveys and was the crowd favorite, lost by 100,000 plus votes overnight while all are asleep. Nasty really.
