Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Nanominer, NBMiner and KawPowminer should work with AMD GPUs.

What was your command line? Did you get some error messages when you started the miner?

Here are some example command lines from RavenMiner pool:

I prefer to use NBMiner here to mine with AMDs

This is the command line: nbminer -a kawpow -o stratum+tcp://us.rvn.minermore.com:4501 -u RP5YmcARPwuhytDGnKncYj2CvAwyGJ8Hpy.5700

Simple like that, first command to start the miner, second to specify the algo, third to specify the pool and port (minermore is a good pool), and them my wallet period name of the worker (just a name you can write to identify on pool)

Remember, it's good to download always the latest version
