It depends on what project you invested you ethereum on, some projects might drop significantly especially if they are new projects after launch but you have to hodl your coins till there is a rebound in the market. This is why you have to research on the crypto project you want to invest on so that you are sure even if it suddenly drops in price, but is it a good project that you believe can recover from the dip? I hope by now you most have recovered your investment from the past crypto pump.

If Op hold their ethereum they get a lot of money now if they keep those coins instead of investing to that project but we can blame him because he want to grow their ethereum they have so they invest it but it cause only to lost his ether. Same here i lost about 2 ETH in an ICO that promised enough at that time, nowadays that project still alive but the problem the price was drop very huge.

I mean investing in a project something like an ICO or a presale when you could buy their token at a cheap price is obviously a big gamble or has its high risk.

We all remember how a lot of project in 2018 or 2017 end up, when you invest in this kind of project it either you could make a good profit or could end up be a big scam where the project will just stop after accumulating a big amount of money in there ICO.

So just remember to make your own research before investing in this kind of project, to make it less risky you could invest in some top altcoins in the market. Still, even though you have less than 5 Ethereum you could still invest and make a fresh start just don't risk it in a project where you don't believe in and projects that you don't really know.

This reminds me of someone earlier who have promoted a project and invested around 30 ETH on it. However, I see that the project has rug pulled and admitted that it was his biggest loss ever. If I were in his shoes, I would be completely devastated and it would take me a very long while to move on from it. First of all, wanna say sorry for your loss, but I believe you are truly in loss yet until your sell the tokens, I will personally advice that you take a critical look on the project, if the project is a serious one, like the team are still working hard on the project, I believe there's still a chance that you might get your money back if you will be patient enough to hold your coins through this winter, but if the project turned scam or abandoned, then I believe there's no more hope for you with that project, all you have to do is swallow your loss and move on, just keep working hard, I believe that as long as you make the right choices from now on, you will definitely recover all your lost funds plus make more money too.

Rather than investing in projects, its best to buy good coins and HODL. Over time, you should get back the capital you invested at the beginning.
