I click the shortcut to start the client: I am counting at least 3 minutes before I can start accessing my money. Man, funny how there is a picture of a wallet and all but it takes over 3 minutes to pull it out of your pocket. Is it in skinny jeans or something?

Also, good job on updating the interface. I had to play with the client for another few confusing minutes before I could figure out how to generate a new receiving address. Apparently just clicking address book then selecting Generate New won't do the job if I want to send money to myself. I feel sorry for the ignoramuses that have to get past this maze.

The fact is the last client was easier to use than this one in terms of interface and was far faster. I am not impressed.

Thank you for giving it your best shot but you have not won my admiration. It empirically isn't the best work. I know, it's free, I really have no right to complain but these are my opinions nonetheless.

I am so fed up that I am now in the process of making my own client. Bitcoin source code here I come.

Feel free to agree, disagree, etc. I am interested in hearing your voice.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Also, isn't this the second time you've been supposed to be working on a better Bitcoin client?

I think you're seriously underestimating what you're up against here... even supposing you surpass the not insignificant hurdle of learning to code, good UI/UX design is an entirely different beast all together.

I guess I just feel like we could have done without the extra thread, and you should have quietly gone off to muck around with the Bitcoin-QT source code by yourself, without the need for public masturbation.

You seriously think that's weird and expected it to generate a new personal bitcoin address...?

I always thought address books were meant to store other peoples addresses in... Seems in bitcoin it's meant to do exactly that Smiley

I found the new interface MUCH faster and more responsive. Bitcoin now loads in 5 seconds instead of 25 seconds, and there is a nice splash screen letting me know it's on the way.

I hugely favor 0.5

It's all about the game, and how you play it

The last time he tried he never made it into the ALPHA stage
