Hi guys,

I have just heard about 3commas and I would like to hear your opinion on this platform. Are many of you using it to automate your trades and benefit from its features? Is it worth the monthly fee they are asking for? Is it only worth it when you are an experienced and high volume traders?

Also, I read about tax on crypto trading lately and I was wondering what was the best software out there to track and report all your trades to the governement and stay legit. I live in Canada, so I would appreciated any good advices on how to manage everything that is related to cypto trading tax.

With 3commas you're basically paying for advanced order types, a questionable native trading bot, and signal integration with Tradingview charts. Not even close to worth the asking price.

It's been many years since I filed taxes in Canada so I'm not sure if there's a better option for you, but I use Cointracker for taxes now. It's not cheap but it's awesome. Full exchange integration and database syncing, everything is automated and works like 95%+ correctly. Some syncing issues need to be smoothed out manually, but honestly it has saved me many, many hours and headaches vs. the old days when I tracked everything manually.

Unfortunately I don't think they automatically fill out Canadian tax forms with their standard plans (I'm sure they will do it under their custom plan) but they do integrate with Turbo Tax, which should make things easy for you.

When it comes to tracking your trade history, profits and Losses. It's a perfect app. I have never used it for automatic trades so i don't know if the monthly fee is worth it.

But if you want to track your trades for the sake of tax. Don't hesitate to use it because the tracking feature is free.
