I checked bitnodes a few days ago https://bitnodes.io/ and it looks like Germany have more nodes than the US does? Does this mean Europe are moving to adoption faster and the US is going to have to try to find a way to keep up?

There does look to be a problem in working out where some nodes are, potentially those using tor services and those using IP addresses shared between territories or not registered with a territory.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Currently the US has more nodes than Germany, and I believe that in the future the US will grow even more strongly than Germany.
When it comes to finance, the Americans certainly dominate because young people have learned about the subject. Education in the US is very invested in the financial industry.

The disease situation is getting worse and worse, so I think the US will soon give its investors the freedom to make money in the crypto market. This will soon cause a series of investors to implement nodes and earn passive income.

Is full node management evidence of increased adoption or awareness of privacy? Many people do not manage a full node, so we cannot judge it for the increase in adoption. Rather, some people may do so either because they want to support the network or more privacy, which may sometimes be due to some regulatory restrictions from governments.

Also, most of those who manage full nodes have enough experience using a VPN and hiding their address.

1. Node data could be inaccurate, as different sites give different estimates

2. Node count only means that a country might have more nodes than the other, it doesn't necessarily mean that there's more adoption.

3. Node counts for US and Germany are very close, so this doesn't mean that Germany is much more important than the US.

For point 2, I would say that the quality of Internet is better in Europe, it's faster and cheaper than in US, so maybe it's easier to run nodes there, so more people choose to.

And perhaps bitcoin adoption is greater in Germany than in US.

Germany Continues Bitcoin Adoption Despite Rocky Market 2019.

And probably as @hatshepsut93 internet is far superior in EU, as compare to Asia, wherein crypto adoption is also very quick but the amount of nodes are way below.

there are a couple of things to consider first before making a conclusion on which country has the most nodes.

first is the fact that sites like the one you quoted are only capable of counting a very tiny percentage of the full nodes (somewhere around 5% of them) because majority of bitcoin nodes don't accept incoming connections (aka they are not reachable by these sites).

secondly you have to see whether the nodes you are finding are run on a PC by an individual or are on some server (like on VPS). then you can see that someone from another country can buy that VPS that is in a certain country and run their node there. that should not be counted as number of nodes in a certain country.

There is a FOMO brewing...
